Renovations mean nothing when you have, no one, and NO ONE there to give you back five dollars that you lost in their machine trying to wash your laundry. Make IT makes sense. It wasn't my last five dollars, but it could've been somebody else's, could've been a single mothers last five dollars, could've been an elderly man's last five dollars! He might've been waiting on his Social Security to come in and that was all the laundry money he had allotted for the week. You never know what people are going through. They also seem to know all the regulars. They do have something I've never seen before; loads of children's books, jigsaw puzzles, and things for them to keep busy while you're doing the laundry and keep them occupied and out of mischief. That's especially helpful if you have young children that you can't leave at home alone. The staff even engages them in conversation while they are doing the drop-off laundry for someone else. Although they're not a bank, they can break larger bills so you don't have to have $20 in quarters come out of the change machine. There's a couple of restaurants nearby we can get a quick bite while the laundry is in the machine.

I said hello to the attendant as I deposited my money into the dryer. She replied with pleasant hello. I proceeded to sit on a near by bench when she saw my service animal. She proceeded to tell me that they have a no pet policy and that I would have to leave the laundromat. I informed her that my dog was not a pet but a service animal. She said it didn't matter if it was a service animal I would still have to wait outside while my clothes dried. I asked her to call the owner, she refused. I asked her to call the police so that they could explain the service animal law, she refused. I went outside to call the Town of Newburgh police and waited outside for the to arrive. While waiting a customer pointed out a sign that was posted, "No Pets unless it is a service dog with paperwork in hand." My clothes had dried and the attendant stated that I could not fold the there and that I would have to leave and fold them somewhere else. I took my clothes outside and waited until the officer arrived, approx. 9:00 p.m. stating the owner Angela Kinan has officially trespassed me from the laundromat . At approx. 9:21 P.M. the Supervisor arrived to try and explain to the attendant that what she was doing violated the law, however she was unwilling to comply with the ADA laws of New York and Supervisor gave me the blotter number .

Sorry Newburgh that I keep referencing your city as ghetto but let's keep it real, it is ghetto! LOL! This laundromat was immaculately clean and beautiful! I had done laundry at other locations in New Windsor and while other places were decent, this place is insanely clean and well maintained. It's just SO out of place being in Newburgh. I've always had laundry facilities at home until recently so I'm not entirely sure if what I paid to clean my panties...I mean underwear (don't judge me; LOL) was expensive. But for what I paid I feel like my clothes came out really clean and the dryers dried as I expected despite the quarter only giving me 6-7 minutes. I really didn't pay attention to how much time each quarter gave me I just put enough for an hour dry time. If others in this area thinks this place might be expensive I hope the owner keeps it that way because this facility is worth the price of admission. Excellent condition machines, nice tables for folding, cable TV, free wifi, etc.
