So far I have been having good experiences from SpineOne and Dr. Khan's staff. He ordered my first MRI that I've done in years, has performed an injection in my back, prescribed helpful medicines, and introduced me to an experienced physical therapist. Being active duty military my expectations are not very high from dealing with some nightmare government clinics but this facility regardless would be good for most pain sufferers. read more

Patients beware !!!! Save yourself time and money. Nice facility built on outrageous and erroneous billing. I waited two hours to be seen by a doctor that didn't give me confidence in his diagnosis. He simply read my MRI report from another doctor and ordered yet more xrays and then explained i needed injections in order to drive up my bill. Wouldnt meet the actual doctor doing the injection until the day of the procedure. They pushed a back book on me to the tune of $18 which i returned in person and still being billed for despite receptionist signing that i returned the book. Wrote letters, placed several calls and spineone still won't credit me for the book i never wanted and that can be purchased on Amazon for $6. Introduced to PT on staff, which incurred another hefty charge for maybe 5-10 minutes of face time. Bottom line: it was obvious i was only important to them not as a person or patient, but someone who's insurance could bill at inflated prices. read more

I was having both lower and upper back pain consistently after having my third child. They were able to get me in right away, took my insurance and helped me determine what the problem was. I am now feeling much better after understanding what I could do (PT) to relieve the pain. Many reviews say they "pushed" shots. That was not the case with me. read more

I did find the treatment beneficial but did not like how they strung it out. One appointment for xrays, another for MRI another to go over results, then finally one for an injection. After the 2nd injection they wanted me to come for an update, no injection. I had to take off work and drive 70 miles each way. Also, I have several hundred dollars that insurance did not pay read more

I got married and gave Spine One my married name not thinking anything about it. Until they told me to come back in and sit in an exam room for 30 minutes until a cop and two detectives walk into my room. Dr Redington called the cops and told them I was using a fake ID! Never once did they even ask me why my name was different, they just assumed I was doing something illegal! What hack of a doctor doesn't care about his patients enough to even talk to them before going to that extreme. After my doctor moved I had to find a new one. I decided to try Spine One even though their rating and reviews were poor. Well, trust me on this... THEY ONLY HAVE ONE STAR FOR A REASON!! I hope people read this and run from Spine One. read more

This was the worst experience with a medical facility that I have ever had. Not only did they rush me into surgery that made everything WORSE. Dr. Khan has the worst f-follow up and bedside manner I have ever seen. His daughter is the one that performed the facet injections and she was horrible as well. DO NOT GO HERE. They are HORRIBLE! We had an exceptional experience with SpineOne; the staff is professional and friendly.  This review is for Dr. Robert Gessman; I would give him a ten star review if I could; he is REMARKABLE!!  THIS IS THE SPINE DOCTOR TO SEE!! My sister lives in Arizona and had a bad fall a few months ago, cracked her knee cap and complained about continuous back pain.  She unsuccessfully pleaded, in Arizona, for a CT scan or MRI, those pleads fell on deaf ears. The Arizona doctors finally x-rayed her back and said she had arthritis and needed physical therapy.  In the meantime, she flew to Denver for Thanksgiving. When here, as she was getting ready for bed she bent over to fold down the bed covers and OMG all of a sudden she was in excruciating agony and couldn't move.  A few days later my sister finally got the MRI she wanted; those results showed an acute compression fracture on her T12 vertebrae. She was referred to SpineOne in Lone Tree and thankfully was seen by Dr. Gessman. Dr. Gessman is extraordinary and knowledgeable.  He reviewed the MRI, in detail, with my sister and I. He answered all our questions, recommended a kyphoplasty surgical procedure (cementing the fracture which stabilizes the bone, and restores some or all of the lost vertebral body height due to the compression fracture), he explained the risks and benefits.  Dr. Gessman is patient, compassionate, kind and he understood exactly how my sister was feeling and the urgency to address her issue immediately. God bless Dr. Gessman, he rearranged his schedule and brought in his staff to perform the kyphoplasty procedure two days later and two hours before SpineOne actually opened (6:00am). The procedure was 100% successful, only took 30 minutes and most importantly my sister feels GREAT!! Thank you and God Bless you, Dr. Gessman. read more

I was referred to spine one by my attorney for a MRI when I went in to review with the doctor. He comes in threw the image next to me and says you have to cracked vertebras. Schedules me a visit 2 weeks out for a faucet joint injection tells me to bring a driver to my next appointment. I backed out of the visit wanting to research it more. I'm now being seen some where else, they are treating me for a neck injury. I've tried in the past months to get a call back from spine one because the doc put nothing in his report about cracked vertebras. Stay clear of this place if you want a proper diagnosis and proper treatment. read more

Do not go there! When I first went there it was nice and very friendly. I chose there because of their same day appointments and they treat sacroiliac problems that my daughter suffers from. They seemed nice enough so I thought I would get my back checked out after years of pain. I wish I just stayed with having pain. I thought it was odd that both my daughter and I needed back injections(especially since it was her sacroiliac joint hurting). They gave me 7 and my daughter 4. They are definitely a shot pushing office. They didn't inform me that I was out of network. They acted like I was. They didn't get a pre-authorization from my insurance and an estimate of cost so I could look at my options. When I asked the billing department about that they said I should have asked. Every other out patient procedure I've had has done that. My insurance denied them because according to my mri I didn't need them, nor my daughter. They told me not to worry and that They appealed it several times and the insurance paid. Not very much mind you. Right now I'm stuck with having to pay over $10,000. It's convenient that the MRI, surgery center, and Dr. offices are tied together. I had to pay more for getting a shot at the surgery center than the shot itself. I was going to fight this and report them to the Colorado fraud, waste, and abuse hotline as well as the trouble shooter on the news. After reading these posts I definitely am. I would encourage you to do the same. read more

The ancillary and support staff is excellent. My L1 and L2 diagnosed as a bulging disc. The "support staff" Dr talked me into "facet joint" injections rather than an epidural steroid/cortisone injection combined with an anti inflammatory injections that I researched and had in mind. I agreed to try the Dr's suggestion...and I should of stuck with MY plan. Nonetheless, Dr Kahn administered the injections and no pain relief AT ALL...nothing. Now I'm back to square One...after spending $1500 - $2000. This business (Spine One) is a machine. Its all stages and sequences. They get you in there and ULTIMATELY want to do a "series" of procedures. Keep that in mind...Not one and done. Personally and individually we want to remedy the situation and find relief. RIGHT? Not found here. If your self pay....BUYER BEWARE. AGAIN, Its not a one stop shop If you have health insurance, prepare for as many procedures as they can get away with in billing. My first visit there was a great experience. They took the time to talk with me and show me new exercises. My 2nd visit was the worst experience I have ever had! I saw Mike and upon his review of my MRI he said he saw nothing that would be causing my pain. I had the MRI results faxed to my primary Dr and they found that there is a buldging disc that is pressing on my nerves. Spine One made me feel like I was crazy, like it was all in my head. Do not go here. The Doctors will not listen or explain anything to you. They mix up appointments, cancel surgery and don't notify you. Also there is mixed opinions on my mri... if only I could get one of the "Doctors" to actually go over my mri that be great to. Also the Doctor mentioned a previous shoulder injury and I said no I don't remember it being injured... they didn't explain what it was. I switch Dr's at spine one and the new Dr said there is nothing in the notes, let's take a mri and see what's going on with it. It doesn't make any sense to me. Then again what very little was said to me didn't make much sense. read more

My experience at Spine One was highly satisfactory.Dr. Sonstein was down to earth and hands on in making a diagnosis, taking the time to walk me through everything and exploring multiple options for treatment while being realistic about what would be beneficial. I appreciated Dr. Sontein's level of compassion as a physician, and his honesty when it came down to what was going to work for me, instead of just running me through the procedure mill as some practices I've seen in the past have done. The office and nursing staff were wonderful, and everyone I dealt with was compassionate and helpful, including the staff in the surgery center. I found that having the office practice, MRI and diagnostic facilities, and the surgery center all on site was quite beneficial, as all records were easily accessible, and there was no lag between diagnosis, results, and any needed procedure. read more

This has to be one of the WORST doctor's offices I have ever had the displeasure to work with. My husband was having severe back, to the point that he could barely get out of bed in the morning. As note, my husband has an unbelievably high pain tolerance, so for him to say he has 9/10 pain is like a normal person having 20/10 pain. He has been forced in the past to take pain meds to bring his blood pressure down. So for him to need to see a doctor and actually want pain meds is unheard of. Our PCP referred him to see this horrific office. The first doctor told him he could have a spinal infection that if it was to become active would kill him within a day. He said he needed to get an MRI with contrast. My husband had to continue calling to get updates, all the while we are sitting at home thinking he could die. Finally, days later, they let us know that his insurance would not cover the MRI with contrast but the doctor was going to call and have a one on one as to why this MRI was necessary. Then we didn't hear anything for a week. My husband AGAIN had to call them, leave several msgs, and finally THREE weeks after seeing someone there we are told his doctor had left and that's why no one had called him. In the mean time, we still think he could die, he is running out of pain meds, he can barely walk and now we are back to step one. So he goes in and sees another doctor who sends him to get a normal MRI. MRI showed severe arthritis in his back so they told him they were going to do injections. They gave us no real plan or anything from there. He went in for the injections, had to sedate him and then the dr. left before I was ever there to get the "what he can and can't do" list. Come to find out he was supposed to have an adult with him for the next 24 hours and other things that the incredibly rude and disrespectful nurse did not tell me. Then to top it all off he is still in extreme pain and they tell him "oh it will get better" and "you can't have a refill on pain meds until Monday." So today comes, he calls to get a refill exactly the way they told him to b/c "your prescription is ready for refill on Monday" and again they give him the run around. This office has no business being in practice. They give pain meds to people who just have pain seeking behaviors and do not take care of the patients who actually have problems!!! This has to be literally THE WORST doctor's I have ever had to work with!! If you have an option DO NOT SEEK THESE PEOPLE OUT FOR THEIR HELP!!! THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY THE WORST DOCTORS ON THE PLANET!!!!! No wonder the other doctor left, he probably realized how terrible his peers were and had to get out. Every person in there from the front desk, the nurses, and the doctors should be fired or have their license taken from them. Take it from myself and my husband that you never want to see these people. If I could give them a -5 rating I would!!!! read more

Yea I completely agree. They are completely money hungry. Doctors push and push and push for these EXTREMELY expensive injections. Tell them every time that the injections don't help yet they keep pushing for more injections. THEN the doctor's threaten to cut you off of Pain Medications unless you do more injections. They are only after ONE thing and that is your money. They do not care about your health or quality of life. I have spent well over $25,000 with these people and they keep milking me for more money. DO NOT go to these people if you truly wish to get better. read more

I heard about Spine One on KOA. My lower back was hurting me pretty bad, so I called them and was able to get in that day. When I called I talked to the billing department because they weren't in my network. I asked how that worked and was told that they bill as if they were in network. That is the only reason I decided to go. Well, needless to say, when I got the bill, I was surprised that it was soooooo high! I called and was told that with my particular insurance I should not have gone there and they couldn't match my in network benefits. I was very upset. SHE kept telling me that I should have gone to an in network provider because of the way my benefits are. I kept telling HER that I would not have gone there except for the fact that I was told it would billed the same as my in network benefits. SHE talked to the practice manager but the only thing they did for me was give me an extra 25% off. I was not happy when I got off the phone. I will NEVER go there again even if they are in network, and I will tell my friends and family not to go there either. read more
