This is a very nice bowling alley, which from the outside looks like nothing special. The inside is large and has lots of lanes, video games and food. We only bowled, so I can only review that part. Shoe rental is $3 and the shoes are decent. The alleys are nice and the scoring system is easy to work. Many of the balls are beat up, but just look around and you will find one that works. Staff was pleasant and the interior felt clean. I never understand when alleys are empty, why they put people right next to you. This happened here and it's just annoying since you now have to wait and take turns. There were dozens of empty alleys, so I just don't get it. read more

The facilities of this alley are better than anywhere else. Tons of lanes, a large arcade, a comfortable lounge area, a bar, a pro shop, and ax throwing. But the good stops there. Ever since this became "Spins," the customer service has absolutely tanked. It's hard to believe they do any extra cleaning when the arcade is littered with soda cups from the night before. Did they pick up the cups and sanitize the area and put them back? Seems way more likely that they don't even check the arcade. The prices seem great until you buy an hour for 5 people, including a small person with bumpers and the metal ramp to help bowling. Turns out that $12.50 is the cost of of over an hour for those to play that game, not $20. I'm sure this isn't a secret. I expect to be advised of how long it would take to finish a game. Not to mention, the first 15 minutes with no game play because the lane was malfunctioning. Then to be charged $10 for a half hour when I specifically requested ONE GAME for four people, so we were cut off after five frames. They should warn you that the lane will shut off in the middle of a game when you pay by the hour. The food used to be good, but now the crew doesn't seem to know how long it should be cooked. Limp friends and pale chicken fingers aren't tasty, yet still manage to be costly. Oh, and that ice zombie game smells like mildew. Someone should learn some basic cleaning and douse it in bleach, because it's nasty. If you can, go to Stonehenge or the AMF in Fairlawn. They're both better. read more

Saturday 6/18/16. I held a 20th high school reunion get together at Bill White's Akron Lanes. First, without a minimum headcount no one in the area will take you if you're trying to coordinate a spot and you don't want to just show up without informing the business owner Bill Whites Akron lanes may be the perfect spot for you!! Not only did they happily host our event but they were exceedingly helpful and cost effective. We got 6 lanes reserved, 5 delicious pizzas, 5 pitchers of pop (one was water) , they even brought out party tables for us. They made our process simple by starting a tab of shoes , bowling & the food we ordered. In the end We only paid for people that showed up so our 12 bowlers and remember anyone who doesn't bowl doesn't cost you extra so for 2hours with all the food our total was only $140. The staff was sooo friendly and helpful we that we tipped them. If you're thinking about a party this place is a great option, especially if you cannot provide a final headcount. Very pleasantly surprised. I came here on a Monday afternoon with two children, ages 3 and 6. They had been begging for me to take them bowling. They got a little bored, but that's not Spins' fault. Ha! The actual facility and staff were wonderful. Everything - even the restrooms - was so clean. They had shoes in all sizes that were not nasty/overused, and they had lightweight balls for the kids. When I asked them to put the bumpers up in our lane, they happily helped (and returned to help again when my 3 year old hit the bumper so hard with the ball that it disappeared.) The bowling alley itself is great but I ordered a ball from the pro shop and had the drilling and grips put in, but the help and drilling was wrong in every way so my balls grips hit the lane each time. I had to take it to another pro shop to have it fixed properly. The worst was I was lied to about how the ball would travel down the lane and knew it was BS. I recommend the bowling but not the pro shop if you are ordering and drilling a ball plus grips. read more

Waited outside in the cold for a half hour last night for cosmic bowling. It hit capacity with 45 minutes before it was supposed to start. How is anyone supposed to be able to enjoy it that way? No communication of the policies. All there was was a guy standing at the counter screaming they were full. Most people were not following covid protocol and were standing on top of each other in line without masks. Update. I called and asked to speak the General Manager. I spoke to the general manager Steve Jalbous he was very rude to me on the phone. He would not allow to speak or share my opinion. I can't talk about the night life here, but my hubby and I brought our kids here on a Sunday afternoon and it was fantastic. The staff was super friendly and answered all our questions patiently, especially about the specials today. The place was super clean, even the bathrooms. They provided us with a lane and directed us to the correct one. There are A LOT of lanes here! The computer was easy to navigate and the place looked totally up to date. Completely computerized and flat screen TV's everywhere. Every time we had to push the call button, we got prompt service and our issue was fixed in a timely manner. Bumpers were provided for the kids and everything was smooth and wonderful! The food bar was small, and provided basic bowling alley food, so as long as your not expecting gourmet, you're good to go. Pepperoni or cheese pizza were the choices today, basic soda fountain beverages with regular or sweet tea. Decent prices and fast, friendly service today! Their billiards tables are currently getting re-clothed and updated. The cues could be a little better, but considering it is a public place and they probably get abused a lot, there are pretty decent. This place is pretty great. We went with the 2 pizzas and 4 pitchers of soda, 2 hours of bowling and shoe rental for 6 for $44. Not a bad deal at all. The place is enormous. I thought that it was a pretty decent size, then I turn around and realize there were just as many lanes on the other side of the building. We were on lane 53! Prior to bowling, I coughed up some money and let my nephews play in the arcade for a while. They have a card system to load money on and it also keeps track of your tickets as you earn them. No cash to be lost, no tickets to count or get jammed in the machine! Very cool. The only reason I take one star away is the set up of the seating at the lanes. It's a little confusing and crowded. It gets that way at any bowling alley, but they tried to stagger the seating, and it just didn't work. Bowling with 3 kids, we were constantly trying to keep them out of the other bowlers area- but it was tough. Overall I'd definitely go here again and actually plan on it the next time I'm in town! read more

Came here in a Wednesday night with some friends from out of town. Arrived at 9 pm and when we got our lanes at 9:20 we said we wanted to bowl two games. We were told we probably didn't have enough time. We finished out first game at 10:00. They are supposed to be open till 11 according to the website and multiple signs posted through the building. When we went up to the counter the guy said have a good night and then noticed one of our friends getting a game card for the arcade. He told him the games would be shutting off soon because they were closing soon. I said you're open till 11 right? I was informed that due to lack of business it wasn't worth staying open and they close at 10:30. This was mentioned 4 times to me in 3 minutes. Very rude to use a broken record approach toward customers. We were told we could not bowl another game even though a couple and there son were in their third frame and is was 10:15. They had started bowling when we finished out first game. The guy behind the counter made it very clear he did not want to stay and wanted to leave and refused our business. Hidden gem of a bowling alley, from the outside the place is pretty sketchy, building signs are ripped off etc. But, once you enter it's a complete different story, clean and large. During day hours you can play for a few bucks and hour - Friday evenings are more expensive. read more

I am new in town having been gone for 40 years due to corporate positions. I am 71 and have been bowling in leagues since I was 8. I looked for senior leagues and was very pleased to find that this establishment has several. I called and spoke with Steve and was invited to visit with him the following morning, which I did. When I arrived, I was greeted by Steve and Sue. They gave me a tour of the facility. They sat with me and showed different rosters of the senior leagues that were available. Sue took my information and said she would try to find a spot for me. I bowled and afterwards Sue informed me of the roulette league on Monday, which I visited. In all my years of bowling in leagues, I have never been treated so well (by the way, everything was very clean and the lane were in great condition). Full disclosure: Our company (Ground Control with Major Tom) hosts karaoke night here, so it's understandable if you think we're biased. But the truth is that Major Tom and been dying to host there for literally years. We LOVE the place, and when the opportunity came up, we jumped at it. We've since moved to Lakewood, but we happily make the weekly drive. In fact, we frequently make the drive hours early and have friends join us for some games of bowling. No problem bringing the kids -- between the arcade and bowling and snack bar, they have a blast. There are lots of lanes, lots of choices in the snack bar, and a lot of friendly staff on hand. And, for the adults, karaoke of course! But the lounge is hopping with both singers and non-singers and everyone is ready for a good time. We went to Bill White's for years before we hosted there, and will continue for years after if we ever stop. read more

We have visited Bill White's multiple times and had great experiences each visit. I think we have had at least 5-6 birthday parties for our kids there. The funny part is it became more of an annual family gathering than a birthday. The first year my son decided on something other than a bowling party- my brother in law convinced my son to have 2 parties....One where he decided to play laser tag and one at Bill White's because the entire family enjoyed the parties. We do call with plenty of notice and reserve a number of lanes. The staff is always courteous and very accommodating to everyone within our party. The kids not only enjoy the bowling but the game room is just as exciting to them. This is truly a great entertainment center for kids for parties or just a night on the town for adults as well. They have a bar for the adults in the group. I would recommend Bill Whites for your next party or for those just interested in bowling a few games. read more

Staff not friendly at all. Very rude to our friend who had a valid out of state ID. Wouldn't let him drink and he's 32 and had a valid ID and had not yet had a single drink that night yet. Also, there was no music and they wouldn't honor the 99 cent bowling game special they advertised that night. We are not from Ohio, and they went out of their way to make us feel unwelcome. Too many other amazing bowling alleys in the area to go to rather than waste your time and money at this place. I wish I could give it zero stars! read more

Having only been here once, I thought it was really good. We went as a large group with special needs kids . The staff was friendly and helpful. The kids ate pizza and I didn't hear any complaints about it. It was clean and lanes were in good condition. I look forward to returning soon and hope for another fun experience. This bowling alley has (I think) 64 lanes so there's always a good chance that you'll be able to get some lanes no matter what time you show up. Seems to be a pretty good price. I wouldn't say that this place is exactly high class but then again, I don't know of many bowling alleys that are. read more

First i want to say that im not some bitter person who had "one" bad experience and am posting this out of anger. I am posting this because of multiple trips to this establishment within the past couple of years. Don't think that the time it says they close online is correct. Once went on a wed evening around 11 pm and they said they are closing and we couldn't bowl (even though online it says closes at 1am.) Also if you go on a Friday or Saturday (it says online closes at 2) they kick you out at 130. But not only do they make you leave early, they are also extremely rude about it. I have gone to this place for years and recently their customer service has gone extremely down hill. They talk to you as if you were idiots and dont care about your experience. Don't go! read more

You were treated with respect and the business treated it's leagues fantastic. Now this new ownership is obviously all about profit. And based on how they treat their league members, guess what that's where they make most of their money, they won't last too long. Find a different alley to bowl at. This one has owners who obviously don't give a shit whether people come back or not. Very disappointed with the change in ownership and management. Very disappointed with today's bowling trip. For years they have had the same special for kids to bowls on any day school was closed (snow days, vacations or summer break). Today was the first day of spring break and we decided to go bowling. My son is 9 yrs old and bowls very infrequently so I asked for the bumpers to be put up. I was then told I couldn't have bumpers unless my child was 7 or under. By the end of the first game my son was in tears and upset because he couldn't hit many pins! I thought maybe a snack would help so I went to the snack counter and placed an order. After bowling more than half of the second game without being called overhead to pick up food I walked back up only to be told "oh sorry it was never started". We finial got our overpriced food by mid 3rd game. After bowling I gave my son $5.00 for video games only to find out the games are $1.00 a piece!! Staff was not friendly at all! Since when can a 9yr old there with a parent not allowed to have bumpers! It's not like a group of teens were asking to have bumpers and act stupid! This will be our last time bowling here! read more

I go here after work a lot and take my stress out on my bowling game. Its cheap and the most of the staff is so welcoming. I just wish I had the stomach to eat at the snack bar. They are VERY under trained and usually the food is very over cooked. When you ask them to remake it, its nothing but attitude. the last time I ordered food, it was so over cooked I could not even bite into it without fear of chipping a tooth. Beware too, they have a bad habit of not wearing gloves while touching the food then their hair then their uniform and i have even witnesses them ringing someone up then immediately back to cooking! No gloves, not even a hand wash!!. Everyone looks well polished in their uniforms but the girls at the snack bar who like their shirts not tucked in and riding up their backs to show off tramp stamps. Not someone I want cooking my food. So don't go hungry and enjoy the lanes! read more
