I've been meaning to read more into my tarot books, but it always ends up getting forgotten about and whenever I do a tarot reading for a friend, I have to lookup the meaning in my book rather than knowing immediately what the cards mean. Deanna was so knowledgeable on each card and made the experience immersive and collaborative. She passed the card around the circle to have each person say what they notice about the card or feelings the card induces. This class was very valuable and I took many notes that I will look back on for my tarot journey. The shop is gorgeous and has everything from hand-painted Moroccan tea glassware, to home decor, to bar accessories, to children's gifts, to a "Tea Room" private event space that looks straight out of a picture book. From perusing their website I see that they also offer custom home design services and that you can book the Tea Room for private events. I really appreciated seeing that along with the classics, Eyre features local children's book authors (including Zoey's Adventures to the Ice Cream Shop, a personal fave!). They also had some caps and sweaters with ORL or WP embroidery. Finally, the giant woven light fixture shades are reminding me of Bali in all the best ways! I got to chat with the owner, Kelly, as I checked out and she was a pleasure! Great little shop that has something for everyone! Second, I fully support spending money at local businesses but the tipping culture here felt a bit excessive. I bought a bag of coffee beans with no drink and was prompted for a tip. I spent $45 for 12 pieces of chocolates at Oban Chocolatier and was asked for a tip there too. Same thing when I spent about $25 on four cookies at Gideon's Bakehouse. I am happy to support but it started to feel like a lot in a not enjoyable way. Third, the hours between vendors can be a bit awkward. We came around brunch time which worked for some spots but others were not open yet. For example, Domu does not open until dinner (5PM) and Gyukatsu Rose was not opening until later in the afternoon (3 PM) Overall, I think this is a great place to check out especially if you enjoy trying a variety of local spots. Just plan ahead for seating and timing and be prepared for lots of tip prompts along the way.

I decided to buy two coloring books (for a neice) from two separate young and black artists. The parking is decent - there is a grassy lot as well as street parking, all free and first come, first serve. Next time, I may have to come ready to eat so I can sample food from the BBQ truck.

The bag policy permits only clear bags, except for diaper bags and bags for medical items. There is a maximum of 2 minors per paid adult allowed. All minors 17 and under have to be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian 21+. There were guided parking and ample parking spaces when we arrived. Check points were set up for bag checks, metal detectors and of course ticket collection. The staff members working the bag check and the exit gate were courteous and polite. The Fairgrounds was not crowded so it was easy to walk about and not bump into other people. There was law enforcement presence inside and outside the Fairgrounds.

The 4-H exhibits were also really nice to walk through and gave them a chance to see livestock and learn a bit about how much work goes into raising the animals. There were plenty of midway games that kept them entertained, and they had a blast trying to win prizes. One thing that really surprised me was the $20 per person helicopter rides over the fairgrounds. We almost did it and I kind of regret not taking the chance--hopefully they bring that back next year. Overall a really fun family outing with lots for younger kids to see and do.

The main part of the store has other spooky offering along with art by local artists. I saw a lot of T shirts, glasses, collectibles, jewelry and some food items. The store is highly themed with pumpkins, fall leaves, and flickering lights in alcoves. For Christmas the store name was changed to All Hallows Eve Krampus Boutique. My daughter knew more about the store than the disinterested employee working there. She asked him where she could find the HHN props she heard they had and he had no clue. It is very dark in there and probably not a place I would want to be hanging out all day either. We didn't end buying anything but it is a cool stop for anyone who loves Halloween and HHH.

There is a giant model city all made from Legos in the center of the store. It is worth taking your time to walk around and look at this masterpiece. In the back is a table to craft your very own mini fig. I was able to create someone in Lego form to give as a gift. I would suggest just having a staff member to walk around and assist customers.
