I also get an email notification when the order is ready for pick up, so I am not sure why the sales associate had to speak to me the way she did. This was not a pleasant experience at all and really put an extremely bad taste in my mouth. I should also mention that there is no point to put an alternative person to pick up my order because they do not use that information. It seems that either their system is outdated or the sales associates do not know how to work the system. I cannot imagine ever coming back here with that worker's demeanor... immensely off putting.

An employee approached us and told us we needed to move because "this area is for walking." I asked, "Where would you like us to sit instead?" She pointed to another area out of the way, so we moved without arguing. A few moments later, a manager dressed in black walked over and, in a harsh and disrespectful tone, said, "There is NO SITTING IN CHAIRS ALLOWED. Get up now!" I was stunned. These were chairs being sold to customers, yet we were treated as though we were doing something wrong simply by testing them. If customers aren't allowed to sit in furniture that's for sale, that policy should be clearly posted. More importantly, there is absolutely no excuse for speaking to customers, especially in front of their children, in such an aggressive and demeaning manner. The issue wasn't just the policy. It was the complete lack of professionalism, courtesy, and basic respect. My son witnessed a manager treating his father like an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. I expect a response from store management or Five Below corporate explaining whether this is actually company policy. If it is, it needs to be clearly communicated. If it isn't, then this manager needs coaching on how to speak to customers respectfully. This experience was embarrassing, unnecessary, and completely unacceptable. I won't be returning until someone addresses how this situation was handled.

I'm seriously jealous of the adult staff who get to work here. They actually get to play and build…read morewith legos every day as part of their job. I know they also have to deal with kids throwing a tantrum and probably some parents doing the same, but it still just sounds like a fun job to do. Perhaps this will be my retirement gig. There are so many creative lego kits that appeal to all ages and interests. I saw legos that looked like post cards of world travel, there were vases of flowers, World Cup soccer memorabilia, Star Wars figurines and space ships. For those who prefer to strike it alone, head to the back of the store to load up on individual lego pieces of different colors and sizes to concoct your own dream creation. This store is always packed, so bring your patience as you try to maneuver through the narrow aisles teaming with delighted children. Many of the projects kits are expensive, but you can find smaller ones that might fit a tight budget. Whether you spend money here or not, it's fun to cruise the aisles and marvel at all of the unique designs.

No signs, but several staff members standing around talking about this and that. I was at the register for several minutes, then hollered "Hello" loudly. A young lady came up and told me they were fully self-checkout, but if I needed help, they would do so. I repeated what she said, then told her that " I won't be shopping here again because I don't work here, she does. She apologized, but scanned my items. Why in the world is this a thing now? I believe there were 4 staff members there at the time. 3 were talk to each other and another must have been in the back as I saw her stocking earlier. I like the products, but will not shop there again for the reason I stated earlier. Unacceptable in my opinion. I also don't scan my items in Wal-Mart, or grocery stores for the same reason.

They quickly give you directions on where to find items as you enter. I stopped in to buy items for my teenage daughter's room and they have a wealth of items to help decorate for room decor. Lots of items to choose from for a good value. I ended up buying organization bins, pillows, a lantern as well as party supplies for her upcoming birthday. It was nice to see so many items hands on to start putting together a new theme for her room. Their Easter items caught my eye and I bought a cute welcome mat for the front door. They had adorable Easter bunnies as well that came in bright vibrant colors as well as muted greenery with bows. They also had the ever popular wooden panels to decorate your front porch. I also spotted a variety of patio cushions in a variety of colors and with the warm weather we have had recently I did venture to check out their items to update my patio furniture cushions.

The amount would have been about $14. I spoke with Michele, middle aged African American female, at the cashier's counter. There were no customers behind me, and she was the only cashier at the time. I explained what I stopped by for, and she did not appear to want to understand what I was telling her. I noticed her starting to be rude, and I requested to speak with a manager. She started to raise her voice, and I asked her not to do that. She started pointing her finger at me and stated, "do not try me, today is not the day". Her whole attitude caught me off guard, and she even said that she would have me taken to jail. She also stated that I may have found the store gift card on the floor and was trying to get some money. I told her not to question my integrity. I walked away from the counter and waited on a manager. Kevin appeared, and as I started to speak with him, she tried to interject herself in our conversation. I asked Kevin to step farther away from her counter, so that we could have a conversation. At that point, I told Kevin that I was no longer concerned about the inactivated store credit, and that I was more concerned about Michelle's very negative attitude and demeanor towards me. She blew things out of proportion and I didn't take kindly to that. I had been a customer since the store's soft opening, and had never had a negative experience like this. Kevin advised that I call the number on the back of the store gift card, as he was very limited on what he could do without a receipt. It's extremely disappointing to see someone like Michelle, working at At Home, who is very unprofessional, clearly dislikes her job, and is definitely not suited for a customer facing environment. Customers come here to have a nice shopping experience while searching for the right items for their home. Michele's lack of customer service damages At Home's reputation, and upper management should seriously reconsider keeping employees like this.

The battery box which fits 4 AA already had 4 AAA batteries, The batteries were dead of course and since AAA batteries are shorter than AA batteries, the extra space was packed with wads of aluminum foil. Obviously the costume was used and returned. I paid for a new costume but that is not what Spirit sold.

The costumes often cost upwards of 50, 60 or even $70, some of them even more than that. However this store is top notch as far as variety and unique costume and decorative ideas not just for Halloween but for several other specialty things as well, and it's certainly great fun to explore and browse! Personally, being a photographer, I have often found some really unique and interesting items that can be used for light painting, props, and various miscellaneous items in my photo shoots. Although the pricing is somewhat of a deterrent, I really like the fact that I can come here after Halloween for a couple weeks and pick up some of these items at 50% off. This definitely helps offshoot the high prices!
