The employees at this store are unprofessional and rude. The website stated the store was open till 11pm. We got there at 10:10 pm the associate stated that the website hadn't changed the hours of operation. He also added that we had 3 months to prepare for Halloween. Spirit Halloween Store is by far the best place to go for all of your Halloween needs! They are very conveniently and centrally located. They have costumes and accessories in everything I could think of for not only kids but adults as well. Find a few you like and they will even let you try them on. Their prices are fair too. As a parent of two young kids price is just as important as the convenience of being able to go to one store and know that Halloween shopping is now completed. It is an awesome feeling. I wish more places had that figured out. I suggest you narrow down your child's choices long before the dressing room. My son kept me their for at least 45 minutes trying on every costume he thought he might possibly like at all. Then tried the sane ones in a different color. As if that makes a difference. Boo! Halloween is almost here. I love Halloween. It is one of my favorite holidays. It is the one time of the year when adults (and kids) can dress up and pretend to be someone or something else. That said, the Spirit Halloween Store is now open in Modesto. I stopped by today after work to check it out. It is located in the old Linens N' Things building on Sisk Road. I really like the layout of this store better than last year. Things are more open and you don't feel smooshed like a sardine while trying to walk through the aisles. Of course that will probably change as Halloween draws near. I'm sure that the selection of spooky merchandise is no different than any other Spirit Halloween Store. Upon entering the store you encounter a couple of creepy beings. They have eery decorations and frightening music too. The costumes are displayed all along the walls. So many choices! What will I be? Don't go to Spirt Halloween! Horrible they treated us Horrible. Let me explain, so we put our name of a list to buy a display, they called us over to this store location and once we took everything apart they told us that we don't get the polls to hold up the display. The manager said EVERYTHING was included and then the Most rudely Distric manager came over and said NO we don't get the polls speakers any thing else but the cardboard. The District manager then started yelling at us and was about to call the cops. We told spirit Halloween about the incident and they said they would call us back to see exactly what happened. Nothing! No one has contacted us back yet. Spirt Halloween has lost a very loyal customer. We should get paid for our time or something because we sent 2-3 hours taking the display apart then they said we don't get the polls. Don't support Spirit Halloween. read more

I can't find the store location in Turlock on Yelp. But the people who own this family business needs to check in on their employees. I went in to the location in Turlock and this lady Tabitha was very rude and used profound language because someone child knocked down a mask. She was also swearing up a storm to her employees. The parent didn't understand English so she continued doing what she was doing and left the store. This isn't right and something needs to be done. read more

Great place! Someone here put in a Donald trump costume and scared the shit out of me! Oh and I also got stabbed here and the employees looked at me like they have a shit caught up there ass they are great employees , nice. And I LOVE the fake monsters that come up and try to kill you! I came to this location on Pelandale Road to look for boot covers for my costume. I didn't find any, so I tried to find a store associate to help me locate them. Turns out, the only store associate on the floor was yakking on her fucking cell phone! I tried going to the front of the store, only to find a long horrendous line of people. read more

Horrible customer service I bought a costume for my son on Wednesday October 10th get it home the zipper is broken they tell me at the store I can return it for any reason. So the next day I bring it back still in its original packaging they refuse to take it back after charging me $42 for this costume because the zipper is broken. So buyer beware inspect everything because if you don't they will sell you a destroyed costume and claim it's your fault. read more

Horrible customer service. They shut down the fitting rooms randomly when they have to put away costumes because of staffing. They only had 3 staff to run that giant store. Manager was very rude. Went to the Halloween Guys on Dale Road and they were great! read more
