I ended up spending like 30 euros here because I couldn't decide what to choose so I got a bit of everything. The food was incredibly delicious and they had so many unique dishes which I really liked. I got to taste a bit of everything. They had everything labeled with vegan or vegetarian so that was fantastic- I didn't have to ask. They also had vegan pumpkin cheesecake. Yes, vegan pumpkin cheesecake. It was amazing and it tasted so much like cheesecake with milk I had to double check to make sure it was vegan after I was done eating. It's amazing! One of my favorite places in Rotterdam! A great self-service where you can choose your vegetarian dish, combining different bites and create your own meal. After you choose everything you want from tofu to ravioli, from streamed veggies to tempè, from crumble to guacamole, from pumpkins to seitan, you can easily pay according the weight of your plate! I am not a vegetarian, but I LOVE this place, love the salads and hot food, they are always very busy, and food is constantly being replaced (fresh) and menu items updated :) Highly recommend their savoury food, especially for non-vegetarians! Scrambled Tofu for breakfast, mung bean salad, seitan burger among my favourites. Everything always looks like it was just prepared in the last few minutes. There is really nothing else like this place in the area - it reminds me of a place you'd find in San Francisco. That said, I've found it to be pricey. The first time my husband and I dined here for lunch, I nearly had to pick him up off the floor when they weighed his plate as it was over 21 euros! Delicious for any meal! Spirit is a buffet style restaurant and you pay by weight. There are so many choices it would be hard not to find something you like here. Everything is labeled as vegan or vegetarian and ingredients are listed as well. I love having breakfast at Spirit. The scrambled tofu and vegan waffles are my favorite. The coffee is also very good! Lunch and dinner are also great. There are frequently vegan versions of traditional Dutch foods and you can get wine or beer with your meal. Unless you're really craving ice cream, I'd recommend skipping the gelato and going for one of the other desserts. The inside dining area is comfortable and spacious and it's nice to sit on the terrace in good weather. read more
