Yes but who doesn't! Talking over these last few months helped me to appreciate who I am and whose I am! I liked being able to talk through things. I liked the accountability aspect. I was held to a standard of monitoring my time, reminding myself of various points by making sticky notes and posting them, and reading/listening to various things about living out loud. I really loved getting book and audio suggestions! Before coaching I was lost and alone not sure what to do with my life since my parents had both died and my son went off to college. I was asking myself 'what now?'. I wasn't sure what my purpose was anymore because I had no one left to care for. Working with Kim has shown me that I'm more than a mother or a daughter, I am important and I have purpose. She encouraged me to live! Enjoy life and don't apologize for it. As a result I now have better time management, I feel the fear in things and I proceed anyway (this was hard!), and remind myself that I am capable of living out loud. Did I get a relationship out of this? No however, I was able to look at the past and adjust my sails for the future. If You're considering using Kim, do it! My ex wife was very scorned and alienated my oldest children against me and I was in a very bad place. As we were discussing my past experiences that made me into the person I was, we discovered that growing up with divorced parents with addiction that the best form of treatment would be a program called ACOA (Adult Children of Alcoholics). As we worked through the program I was able to learn and love my parents for who they were/are as they were doing the best job they could, and not my thoughts on who they should have been. What a freeing feeling to discover as I let go of my expectation of them and realized they are human too. Every session Joe would greet me with positive compliments and every time I would just shrug it off as not significant until I started to believe that I am worth more than what I thought of myself. I learned to love my messed up self and my confidence boosted and I started focusing on the positive things in my life and not the negative. It's been about 2 years since we last met and the lessons I learned through the ACOA program and his help in guiding me to love myself has continued to grow. Joe is a very genuine person and wants to help everyone whom he comes in contact with.
