I was in Midland for work last week, and the last thing I would have expected to find was a Spitz! I remember Spitz when I lived in LA 2015-2020! I remember being a patron at their Los Feliz and Studio City locations. I guess since then, the franchise model has been working for them! But strange that they would be in Midland compared to say, Austin or Houston. I'm not complaining though, at least I was able to find a proper vegetarian meal on my travels. For lunch, I got a bowl that I was able to top with falafel. My grain choice was quinoa, and the rest of the bowl was the typical pickled and flavored veggies that make Mediterranean cuisine the distinguishable cuisine it is. I wasn't too much of a fan of my particular bowl though. The falafel felt too tough and didn't have that vibrant green color on the inside that good falafel usually has. The staff were helpful and the tables were clean. I'm glad the citizens of Midland/Odessa have this healthy gem in their backyard! read more

Really love the food here and the atmosphere is great. Especially the patio in good weather. Nice bar and decor as well. However, we tried to order 5 drinks off the menu and they were either out or no longer served them. This included several beers and aguas frescas. If it's on your menu, you should have it in stock on a Saturday afternoon. Management must be struggling. Service was so-so. I'd come again because it's the only place in town for good Mediterranean food, but they advertise local craft beer, so they should make sure to keep it stocked. read more

Spritz in Midland is an exceptionally delicious spot for authentic Mediterranean cuisine, with freshly prepared dishes and friendly staff who always make customers feel valued. The baklava is also very good and truly authentic. I can't recommend this place enough! The indoor and outdoor seating is fantastic too!! read more

I enjoyed the nice vibe here for my Saturday afternoon lunch. Sat outside on their patio. Ordered the Street Cart Fries add "the works" (chicken, beef-lamb, and falafel added) minus the Olives. 20/10 for so many reasons. #1 food is delish. We got the loaded fries with lam and beef and a gyro combo with the fried garbanzo beans. We can't speak highly enough about the quality of food. #2 the service was impeccable. The owner helped us and walked us through the menu which was so helpful. She was honest about the items and helped us order so much. She was such a top tier person it made our experience even better. LOVE this place. read more

I came here with my band, Service was amazing! The food was delicious too, I fully recommend going here. Although I have one bone to pick, they charge you $5 extra if you want a side, in my opinion it's a little too much for some fries. But other than that, the atmosphere is super cool and it's very well decorated and furnished. It's also as great management, they were very organized and helpful. The cost of the food was so reasonable and way worth it - but I made the mistake of ordering a draft domestic beer on tap, Yuengling Flight, typical stuff. A 6 pack costs about 10$. I ideally end up paying about $5 at a typical restaurant. Not at Spitz - here it spoils your meal and you pay......$9....for a pint. No signs anywhere on the menu about cost of beer. Spitz is the perfect spot for a quick bite, good drinks, and rich sights and sounds. To start, it's 5 to 10 steps above the normal Midland restaurant decor and art. You're greeted with wall murals and quirky pieces on every wall. Another buck head? No. It's a golden buck with a monacle. Ordering food is done at the register, you take your number, & then grab an open seat. This is typical of some fast food restaurants, but considering the tables weren't sticky, children weren't running amuck, and they have a full bar, I would say Spitz is an ideal spot all the way from lunch with friends to a low-key date night. Two orders were placed and the sangrias we ordered were quick to arrive along with our hot food. I haven't been to the Middle East myself yet, but the food was hot, very flavorful, & quick to arrive. The serving size respects a healthy meat ratio to fixings. Restaurants generally skimp out on meat, Spitz did not skimp. We sat down at the bar, and let me tell ya. They have a full bar with an impressive selection of spirits, particularly so if you have a taste for bourbons & whiskeys. Very, very, very surprised to see a Belgian favorite of mine on tap, Delirium Tremens. Had I known that was there, I wouldn't have gotten the sangria. I'll just have to come back and get it next time. 10/10 will dine in again. read more

So glad that Midland has a Mediterranean restaurant now! This restaurant has an awesome atmosphere that transports you out of Midland! They also have a great covered patio area. All of the staff were super helpful explaining the menu items. Everything we ordered was super fresh and perfectly seasoned; the spices and sauces were just right! The wrap we got was huge, and the medi bowl felt very light and healthy but was super filling. We really appreciated the ability to make most things vegan or vegetarian as well! We can't wait to bring family and friends visiting from out of town here for a really nice dining experience. Also want to say thank you for using paper take-out containers; I wish more places would make the effort to reduce the amount of plastic and styrofoam containers I see blowing around Midland! read more

The place is very cool and nice looking. The staff was friendly. The food was good. There's so many options it's hard to pick but we did the Street Cart Wrap and Gyro. Our sides were the fries which was the perfect crispy and soft. The fried pita with hummus was good but would have been better if the hummus had garlic or the Mediterranean flavor to it. Now that it's getting chilly they are definitely going to have to bring heat lamps outside since seating is limited and half is outside. read more

2nd time here. We love it!!!! The bar manager is super nice and a local so she was able to tell us a little more about town. We're new so it's very good to know what to eat and what to do around here. Her drinks were delicious and the GYROS!! Amazing Amazing. Definitely worth trying them out, good flavors and good atmosphere. They have outdoor seating. The drinks are self serve which is awesome, you can get up and refill as many times as you want. I saw a Spitz ad on Instagram and it looked sooo delicious, I absolutely had to stop by with my crew. We were visiting Midland from Austin looking for some trendy new spots and I'm so glad the algorithm picked up on what I needed lol. First, the restaurant was spacious, clean and inviting (loved the music they were playing). I do appreciate a good Greek theme! All the employees were attentive and helpful - in fact, it seems like they have regulars already lol. They also have a full bar that I did not, unfortunately, take advantage of this time. I ordered what I would typically order at any halal spot: a lamb gyro/schwarma with fries. When I got the order it not only looked perfectly delicious, but it tasted fresh and was perfectly crunchy and savory - I loved it! I had to update my review as Spitz has really gone downhill. We were regulars but have decided to discontinue going. The past four visits, there has only been one employee out front to manage tables, the bar, and the register. The employees try their best but are overwhelmed which affects service. If they attend to the seated customers, then the line grows at the front. If they attend to the register to take orders, then the seated customers are neglected and tables don't get cleared or cleaned. I finally cleaned my own table and found cutlery and napkins myself. The owner used to be there quite often but not lately. So disappointing. Unfair to the customers and to the overwhelmed employee. read more

The first time I came here, it was a complete disappointment. The hummus tasted bland and there were chunks of garbanzo bean unblended throughout. I tried giving it another shot today because I love Mediterranean food. Both times, it was nearly empty when I arrived and the employees seemed bothered by having customers and quickly resumed loud conversations amongst themselves after I ordered. Wait times were longer than they should be for how empty it was. Then, the paper they put over the wrap was like grilled on, when I attempted to remove the paper it tore the wrap apart and all the contents spilled out. This place has been a huge disappointment considering how expensive it is, I expected much more. Hopefully Midland gets a better Mediterranean food option soon, because this ain't it. read more

What a great add to Midland! This is a new spot that is very trendy with great menu options. You can get a wrap, bowl, or Flatbread. They also serve alcohol so you can grab a drink while you enjoy your food. I did not try the cocktails but they looked pretty fun!
