I was greeted by the empire when I arrived. However they err pretty busy with a customer so I didn't really talk to them. Price wise, I am not the best judge since I don't know how these sort of models typically run for.

They do sell a lot of Funkos, and I'm usually not the type to collect, but I couldn't resist getting Sanji. I don't see One Piece Funkos often, so I was happy to have stopped by and will likely visit again. I don't agree with the comment below that says that owner was distant/cold, but rather, he was working to display more figurines/merchandise for customers and did greet those who entered.

They have a wide selection and at reasonable prices, cheaper then the Sakura Media in Metrotown mall. They also sell packages of the paint pens. as well as your other generic hobby paints and equipment. They also sell: Takara Beyblades (the japanese brand that makes beyblade) and accessories. As far as I know the beyblades vary in price depending on which one you want to get. I can't say for sure how much they average around since I have no interest in buying one. Trading cards (yugioh, pokemon, etc...), along with deck boxes, and sleeves. Plushies A few anime trinkets (near the entrance) like key chains and wallets. Of course, this place is mainly about selling calendars, but they also carry a few other things, including kids toys, little arts and crafts kits for kids, kids books, puzzles, etc. I just stop by here sometimes for the board games, so I can't judge if their pricing on other items is any good or not, but my friends tell me that their pricing on jigsaw puzzles is decent.

In Chinese, its "San Lian Shu Dian" or "Sam Leen Shu Deem" but if you didn't already know that, its likely the book selection isn't for you. I note this because virtually all of their books are published in Chinese. Lots of materials that were never given an English Cliff Notes version (aka Chinese Literature) will be on full display here. Whether its a New York Times Best Seller translated into Chinese or a How To book on anything, it's going to be available here. What do you do when you're not exactly Chinese literate? First of all, you'd probably have to figure out why you're there. Are you learning Chinese? Buying a gift for someone who does? Best ask an associate for some recommendations for a good read. And yes, ask one who speaks a reasonably good amount of English. The service has been good here, the crowds rarely flock here (#3) and the prices seem fair though a non-bookworm (aka me) has a hard time parting ways for any hardcover book for $50 unless its limited edition or includes an entire volume set. I went through about 12 boxes and 3 stacks of golden and silver age books and ended up buying 12 comics. Prices were fair, but the best part is their comic grading is spot on! So many dealers today badly overgraze their books, but these guys know what they're doing. They sell slabbed books too. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Kept shouting in the phone because he or the person the phone was having cell service issues. Loud enough everyone in the store could hear. He proceeded to yell at his employees asking for someone to get him another phone. The nice guy at the front ran to get him a comic because he misheard. The guy yelled at the guy saying he "asked for a damn phone". Ruined my experience and I decided not to support the business.

What stands out is from this store is, all the snacks are not the normal ones you can get from TnT, Fujiya. It's not the largest store with the most variety but it has unique products. Prices are also more competitive than the other Japanese stores. Btw, they have discounted items that are near expiring that is crazy excellent pricing and I've never had an issue with. Free street parking on the front, next to a salon, and a sports racquet store.
