We took our two small toddlers (2 & 3 year old) on a weekday late morning/lunch time and stayed for three hours ( 3 year old wanted to stay longer but it was already past naptime!). There's plenty of shade and chairs when we went but I can see how it could get packed on a weekend. There's also shade in the bigger swimming area but not any in the shallow area where the babies play. There's two slides, one for the babies and one for older kids. Life jackets to borrow but we brought our own, which could come in handy on weekends when it's crowded. There's also a snack bar with plenty of options and ice cream at the front desk. And it's definitely comforting to see all the lifeguards (I counted 9) watching over all the kids and being really attentive about it and actually doing their job. Highly recommend coming here if you have young kiddos! We'll definitely be back!

They are more than adequately equipped with huge bathrooms and bedrooms and a nice balcony. There's a restaurant actually a couple of places to eat that are across the Laguna where you can walk to eat. This isn't a kid's only place either. Adults find it equally fun and enjoyable whether you'll be sitting in a hammock, swimming in the pool,doing a fitness walk around the property or watching the squirrels and birds. Kids enjoy it when Chip and Dale come around. There are numerous activities to keep the kids busy. This is not a character centric resort but more on the relaxing side. Every person who works here is friendly and polite, and willing to help with anything you need. You truly feel like you are valued here. On this past trip, I was able to get off the cruise ship in Miami, stop in for a quick hello at my father in laws house and then head up north. Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort was the perfect stop. This year I planned for a two night stay at the property. We reserved a two bedroom unit with a magnificent view of the low country coastal marsh. Birds and assorted wild life are flying by, it can't get more picturesque from what I'm seeing from our private deck. *From September 8, 2025, through March 2026, Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort will undergo exterior maintenance. You may see and hear construction and refurbishment work during daytime hours. They got rid of the ESSO sign! I'm glad to see Disney is making the investment on this property. Our room looks great, it seems like they first worked on all of the interior rooms. We just stayed at the Boardwalk Hotel, this two bedroom had the same contemporary feel. The Murphy Bed is similar to The Boardwalk, it's a great design. The question is, is it really a "Disney" hotel? I own points in Disney Vero Beach, Vero Beach is a true Disney hotel. Wanna know something? If I'm driving back to NY from a Disney Orlando Hotel, Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort is my next stop. So after one ride on the swamp Fox I knew I had to get one more as it was just a solid fun wooden coaster that was very smooth and totally good from start to finish perfect for all ages! Across the park they had various other rides but none of them really made me want to ride them other than Swamp Fox. Overall it was a good time and worth the trip here to ride it so if your a coaster junky add it to your list if not and your in the area totally ride it because it's a lot of fun!
