There would have been a whole wall of fabric swatches to choose from which was great at the Essendon showroom. We live in Brunswick and had the whole house done and I love the new feel of our house. The whole project cost around $6000 which was great value as we got some more expensive fabrics to last us the next 5-10 years.

So, they do kinda rule. Admit it. I wanted to make these garden boxes for my missus and had been doing this work for a gardener who got all this shit from Bernie Cook. He hated to deal with them but they were close and not ridiculously priced and they have some pretty sweet Eco alternatives to the regular products. I did some research and found that they stock this shit called Eco timber that is a treated pine (don't get all pissy, it's fuckin' better than harvesting gums off the banks of the already fucked Murray River). This Eco shit is treated with no arsenic and is especial for garden boxes -- i.e. the toxins won't leech into your veggies, sucker. So I bought the shit, and made the boxes, and now we have a veggie garden in our small courtyard. Win, win, win. And you can tell I'm normal right? Right?

I've used Plaster Professionals twice now, on two very different jobs. The first one was a…read morestraight forward bagging of an exterior brick fence. Well, it was meant to be straight forward. Turned out that our brickie wasn't a fan of straight lines, so the bagging had to fix up all the imperfections. George and Tibor fixed it all up, and kept to the agreed price! The second job was my personal home - a Victorian with many original features, and heaps of cracking from the drought. Plaster Professionals handled it all - from the little ones to the big ones. Not only did they do the skim coating that you'd expect, they fixed up some spots where the original cornice work was in pretty bad shape. You just can't find these sorts of skills on the market anymore - unless you get George and Tibor. They also passed two critical tests: 1) Even my painter was complimentary. You just don't see that - painters typically blame the plasterers for everything. 2) After three months, there are still no signs of cracks anywhere - and I mean even the little spider cracks that we used to get weekly. These guys gave me a fair price, took their time and were very careful of our floors and furnishings. They were very conscientious about our home and cleaned up after themselves carefully. It wasn't fast, but it was done right and at a very good value. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Plaster Professionals to anyone.

His price point isn't low but it isn't high either. Actually by the end I thought he had really underquoted me, given the quality of the work and how much time he put into it. There were no hidden surprises in the final bill and he fixed anything I wasn't happy with as we went along (very few things) without fuss or extra expense. He had lots of ideas for special and cool features and I am so happy with the final result. The job took longer than he originally estimated, not because he took off for other work but because he has exceptional attention to detail and won't settle for anything less than a perfect finish. He discussed every aspect of the job and every decision in detail (maybe too much detail!) and managed the other tradies (plumber, sparky). It's been about a year now since the renovation and I am still thrilled with it. Anders is incredibly honest, transparent and accountable - so refreshing! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and will definitely hire him for any new projects as well as any little jobs around the house if he's available (I've had him back to rehang a couple of doors that have come out of alignment).
