On Thursday December 6, 2012 at approx. 3 pm, I attended a Trade Secrets location at the Dufferin Mall in Toronto. I was there to return a product (Redken Shampoo) that I had purchased on November 28th at the Vaughan Mills location. I had called the Vaughan Mills location and the Dufferin Mall location on the morning of December 6th to see if I can in fact return the item and they indicated that it was possible, however, only a store credit can be issued. Which I agreed. I made a special trip to the store at Dufferin Mall and met a man behind the cash register (named Leo, was told he was co-owner of that location) and produced my receipt and requested my original receipt back as I had another item on it. Leo rudely (through verbal and body language) said "NO" I need to keep this. I clearly and concisely indicated to him that I will require my receipt back and that all reputable business' will not deprive me of this. I also stated to him that even though I do not need to explain my needs to him and that I require my receipt for various reasons: 1) For my business expense (afterall, I wasn't looking for a refund, all I was after was a credit, therefore, the value was still paid by me in full). 2) accounting purposes for my statement of my debit/visa. Afterall, a CUSTOMER needing to explain herself why she requires her receipt to an establishment is clearly PREPOSTEROUS!

I was hesitant to write this review, but I feel like people need a fair warning…read more. I made an appointment for a full Brazilian wax. Prior to coming in for my wax I made sure to ask the esthetician over the phone if it would be a problem that my hair was a bit long, she assured me it would be fine and they would trim before hand. That relieved me as I have cysts that become enlarged when I shave over them. So once I was there, the esthetician let me know she would do a quick trim, however she barely went over the hair and quickly began to apply the wax. She ripped off a few strips before trimming some more but at this point she had not removed all of the wax, so it got on the scissors and each time she trimmed a bit they kept unnessisarily yanking my hair... She continued with the wax but for some reason she was pulling off strips but wasn't getting much hair so she made a point of letting me know "it wasn't her fault" twice. Eventually she had gone over the same spots over 10 times until I was swollen and painful to touch. Each time I looked down I felt worse and worse to the point where half an hour in she wasn't even done the front and I had to ask her to stop because it was clear this woman knew she had f****** up and just went all in without a care in the world. She left wax all over me, and made sure to let me know it "wasn't her fault" one last time. (I did not pay for the wax, as I made sure to let the owner know exactly what just happened and what I was walking out with) however her excuse was that the lady was filling in for the regular esthetician and would be back Monday, I was speechless and she booked me another appointment to see the regular woman. (No way in hell would I be returning) I returned home to remove the wax she had left on me, and realized I was bleeding as well as missing skin. 4 days later and I realized this woman has stressed my skin so much that i now have two new cysts. I really wouldn't recommend this location I felt the services were not very professional. On a side note my friend got a facial and the owner over charged her 5$ which she realized after we left. This was a traumatic experience for me, I was so upset all I could do was cry and sleep for an entire day. I really did not want to share it publicly but I would feel worse if somebody else went through this as well.

I have been coming to this salon for at least ten years and that alone should say something about the quality and service the Axcess Team provides. I would trust no other salon with my hair and colouring services (and I have had some crazy colour styles in the past!). The staff are always polite and attentive, not to mention extremely friendly and welcoming and I always walk out with ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, stunning and smooth hair. I absolutely RECOMMEND you come in and sit in one of their chairs, I promise you won't be disappointed. (Although I do recommend you call cause they do get busy).

At no point during our 3.5hr session, did I feel any discomfort which has happened when I've done ultrasounds. This is a true testament that if you are an expecting mother, fear not, Margarita will make you super comfortable so you can still look glamorous! In terms of the booking process, this was super simple. Margarita's website is clearly laid out with her availability and pricing. Hoping that the lashes will live up to my expectations and not all fall off within the first few days!! Edited to add that after less than a week most of the lashes fell off my left eye compared to my right and I look pretty silly. Very disappointed because they looked so good when they were first done. Now I need to remove them at home before a work meeting because they look so uneven!
