On January 31st 2014, New Year's Eve, I was a member of a wedding party getting our hair and makeup done at Split Enz in Beeton. The salon was full, and running behind schedule.I was about 15 minutes late getting into my appointment for a blow dry - one of the girls getting her makeup done waited for almost 45 minutes. My stylist appeared to be the most junior member of the staff, and was very pleasant. I showed her a photo of a practice style which my regular stylist in Calgary did for me, and she set forth to duplicate it. Unfortunately, after 20 minutes. she continued to have difficulty getting a small decorative comb accessory into my hair, and my style was non-existent. Her attempts to backcomb or build volume into my style were dismal, and my hair lay flat against my head. As my mother and I left the shop, my mom asked me what I was going to do about my hair...I washed it, and styled it myself. My photographers got the decorative comb into my hair in mere seconds.
