They didn't have great stock of last years boots but Andy got me sat to measure my feet and see what they had that might fit based on what I was looking for. Last years models were nice and all but the new K2 Mindbender boots were exactly what I was looking for...I even got a small discount on them. I had to take advantage of the 40% discount though so I picked up new skis, bindings and poles as well. I went back the next day to pick everything up after installation and bought a jacket as well. In my two trips there in as many days I found the staff to be very friendly and technically knowledgeable. I would recommend to everyone.

I had mistakenly switched the shoe size on the rental form for a couple members of my group, which was a mistake I had apologized to the staff for. What could have been a smooth experience instead left a sour taste in my mouth that reeked of unprofessionalism and disrespect. With other rental shops nearby offering similar services, I will not be returning here.

We ran into blue mountain, thinking- no big deal go to blue mountain, get a boot rental, shave off 20% with the ikon pass and we're good to go- No! So Blue Mountain only rents out ski and boot sets for what they say is liability reasons. A rental at $80-90 with $20% is still a sizeable amount of change. So I looked up Mountain Side Sports as most mountain destination have some offsite rental places- a little drive, requires coordinating to pick up in advance and drop off before you leave town. So I saw their rental boots only $30. So my bootlegs group member stopped in and explained he brought his skis and forgot his boots. The shop was very nice to explain the boot may require adjustment to the skis- and then when you do go back to your original boots at home- you would have to get it adjusted again. Realizing the struggles- they were so nice to just offer the rental for $30 for the set- for convenience. That honestly was so nice. I look forward to directing rental equipment peeps to this place. It's honestly easier to rent offsite, pull on your ski or snowboard boots and leave your shoes in the car- rather than wasting money on a locker rental or doing the twice trip to the car at the start of the rental and at the end- and if you know blue mountain- parking isn't easy- non Subaru drivers don't respect the Subaru exclusive spots :/. I would like to commend a supervisor at the Milton, Ontario location. I didn't expect much more than a short browse session, but Christian was eager to provide whatever information I needed and helped me to examine more products than I would have guessed going in. Not for a moment did I feel rushed and all the info he gave me was with great interest in my needs. Not only is Christian obviously very knowledgeable but he is also a prime example of superior customer service. In fact, we even went beyond closing time which I very much appreciated. At the end of it all I ended up purchasing a number of items... all when I expected to merely look around. Well done Christian! For the fact that they had 3 people on the skate sharpener there should not have been as long a line up as there was. One of the people sharpening skates left it to adjust a helmet. The staff needs to get the whole customer service thing down pact. They have a captive audience/customer base in Milton yet they don't utilize it with epic customer service and deals that would rival Canadian Tire, Walmart and Sport Chek. Customer service will beat the snot out of price points every time. The owners need to realize this before the people of Milton wise up like so many others. Survival has many angles and they need to use what they already have before it's an empty building.

At least they will take their used gear back the next day or the next season if you want to trade up or get a different size. Then you will only pay the difference and help support the store with renewed stock, a very cool idea! So there you go - no excuses when someone says, 'Let's go skating!'

I have received a pair of skis and bindings from them and was appalled at how they were packaged for shipping across the country. I was in the ski shop business for 25+ years and have shipped and received many pairs of skis and always we made sure that the equipment was properly protected during shipping. I'm surprised that they don't understand how to ship products correctly. Is not very hard. Yes they have good prices but if they don't ship it properly then it costs more with returns and warranty issues etc.

While looking around, we saw a clothing rack with a lot of clothing on sale. Sifting through it, I found a couple items to try on. There weren't any employees by the fitting rooms, though. I had to ask another employee to find the one working in that particular section to unlock the changing room door. The employee that came was apologetic, as she was on the far side of that section. When it came time to pay, there was one customer at the counter talking through something with the cashier, and it seemed like it would take a while. All my tune-ups at Pedalinx were professionally done. Pedalinx service has always been friendly and great. Getting the tune-up this year was complicated by Covid 19; demand for bike tune-ups this year went through the roof. I had to wait more than a month for my scheduled tune-up. But the shop did a fantastic tuneup job on my dura ace road bike, and in 1 day! Pedalinx is one of the best bike shops.

The customer service is consistently disappointing. Staff rarely makes eye contact, there is little to no acknowledgment when customers enter the store, and basic courtesies such as greeting customers or providing updates on wait times are completely absent. It is extremely inefficient and disorganized. What makes the experience particularly frustrating is that there can be only a couple of customers in the store while several employees are on the floor, yet it can still take 30 minutes to an hour just to get someone's attention or speak with a staff member. During these waits, there is often no communication, no indication of who is being helped next, and no confirmation that anyone will be assisting you. As a family that loves biking and has invested a lot of time and money on our bikes, it's so frustrating to get it serviced at this location and will be looking at going elsewhere.
