We ordered some coffee while we waited for our main course. I ordered a plate of shrimp, as well as a pizza with shrimp and italian sausage. The girlfriend ordered a simple cheese pizza. The wait time was a bit longer than expected, but fortunately the wait was well worth it. We also got here in good time, as this place got busy shortly after they took our order. The shrimp plate was delicious, and the pizza was great. Seeing as we were pretty famished, I ate most of the pizza in that sitting. I had two cups of caffe americano afterward to ward off the itis. The place may be small, and the wait may be a little longer, but the food was decent and worth it. The staff is decent, and the place is kept clean and run well.

We had also loved every bite. Ha. The tagliolini with lobster. Maybe the best lobster pasta we have ever had. Pasta al dente perfection, lobster cooked just right, not overcooked the way it usually is everywhere else. The tagliatelle with Italian sausage was lovely. Manila mango salad, perfect. The quail was an unexpected find and so good. Service top notch as you would expect from a Michelin spot. Whimsical little covered courtyard with gorgeous natural light. So intimate. Now one of our favorites too. Five stars.

We got the large fried calamari starter, which was a bit greasy though it came with a tasty tomato dipping sauce which improved the experience. The pizza was simply not memorable, but I do distinctly remember the fettuccine Alfredo as lacking any flavor at all. Rounds of cold beers and good company made the experience enjoyable, but I can't ignore the fact that the food itself gives me no reason to return.

My lasagna had only a scant amount of meat, and I don't think there was any ricotta in either dishes. We ended up spreading the lasagna on bread to make it more palatable. We had to communicate rather assertively with the server to get his attention and place orders. That was frustrating. The smoking area was poorly placed so that even though we sat in the back, the cheese flavor mixed with cigarette odor. The food was cheap though.
