This was our go to for late night pizza! Make sure if you plan to get the double mozzarella, arrive at least an hour before closing so they have time to make it. If you get there towards closing time, they will only have the margarita pizza available. My favorite was the double mozzarella pizza! It's sooooo good! The amount of cheese is amazing! And the crust is still crunchy and delicious. The margarita pizza was a close second. I'd suggest the margarita pizza if you don't enjoy loads of cheese on your pizza lol For some, the double mozzarella pizza could be too much. Not for us! We loved it. And enjoyed the margarita with extra cheese too. It's a super casual, order by the slice, type of pizza place. Good for quick eats. Not a sit down and dine in restaurant. Spontini is a Milan classic, and you probabaly would recognize the iconic slice sliced across into "cubes" if you're a foodie on Instagram. I finally had the chance to try pizza from here while traveling out of Centrale. One thing to note is that they simply make a cheese pizza, and any different kinds of pizza flavor they offer is just the cheese pizza + the topping of your choice. So when I ordered the funghi (mushroom) pizza, it was simply their cheese pizza and they added cooked, sliced mushrooms on top. For a normal slice, it costs about 6.50 euro. Definitely on the expensive side for a slice of pizza, but you are paying for the brand after all. They have ample seating beyond the order counter, and one slice is very filling. So if you look at it as a meal, it's actually not too bad price-wise. As for the pizza itself, you'd probabaly like it if you're a deep dish fan. To me, it was on the oily side, so I felt a little bogged down after eating it. read more

Spontini makes a classic Milan pizza and is popular for a reason. They've been around for decades and use very good toppings. The cheese is fresh cut, the salami is savory, and the tomatoes are juicy. The base of the pizza is their weak spot. The bread is a bit airy and soft without flavor, but the outside crust does hit home pretty well. The slices are huge so two of them will more than fill you up. They cut the slices into manageable pieces you can handle. Prices are a little high at €8 a slice for the ones with bacon or salami. As a native Chicago resident, I'm not a fan of deep dish pizza. Spontini's pizza is completely different, though. The best way to describe eating Spontini is like eating a pizza cloud that ends with a generous crunch as you bite down. If you can, watch the cook use the huge iron pan to cook the thick pizza crust then spread generous amounts of tomato sauce and cheese. We ordered the Mediterranean (no mozzarella; sardines and olives) and mushroom large pizza slices. They are gigantic slices. I ate with three other people and we were thoroughly stuffed with these two orders. Spontini opened in 1953, and it's starting to gradually expand beyond Milan. Would love to eat here again someday. Delicious pizza in Milan. It's not quite Sicilian style, but it's fluffy and amazing! They offer seating for customers only. The girl at the counter was very friendly. This was our first slice of pizza in Italy and I am glad it was at Spontini. read more

This is fast food pizza different than anything you've ever had from the US. Its easy, fast, good and filling. I found out this is a mIlan chain that's been around since the 1950s. Because it's fast food, I would give it 3.5 stars, if I could, because I would not discourage someone from going for a quick bite. Think modified deep dish pizza. I had the spicy salami. I like flavor and find that you have to go spicy to get flavor. Service was great. Cheap, fast and good. No reason not to try a MIlan staple if you need a snack or quick bite. The upsized version was a bit much for one person, but I ate it all. There are many locations so look for one close you. read more

Oh my goodness! Amazing pizza. Thick, well done crust with just enough cheese and yummy tomatoes. It's so good that it makes up for the small standing eating area and the impossible queues. People say Spontini is cheap but I don't think so. I had the abundante slice for €5.50 in Milan and €6 in Como. Same great taste in both locations, amazing sales representatives and a slice is a meal on its own read more

Ok the price here is pretty good to be in Milan city center, we got 2 focaccia and 2 water bottles for just 8 Euro!! Maybe because we were starving but those focaccia were bomb! The cool thing about this place is that they have a quite sitting zone inside, away from the craziness of stazione centrale.
