So being the only Sport Chek in town it tends to be the go to. That being said I find the service here is so hit or miss. Before the new company bought this mall it was destined for doom. The stores were terrible and the decor brutal. I'm happy that the new owners see potential in this place. It's been renovated and there are new stores coming that are of higher quality. Stuff us younger people like to shop at. The layout of the building is good. One lap and you can get to every store. No hidden walkways or weird transitions that make you double back. The fact that the theatre is connected makes it even better because you can kill sometime before your movie starts. Just keep in mind if you come to a movie after store hours the entrance to the mall will be closed. I'm sure over the next year or two you will see the old person shops disappear and new trendy stores taking their place. It was only a matter of time. What can I say, this is a destination for many local shoppers in Sherwood Park. As far as that goes most people don't mind it. For me it doesn't quite cut the mustard, I need something a bit busier and with more shiny things to keep my attention. I think when they did the makeover they never went far enough, they put some great big skylights in and a bit of trendy lights in the roof of the food court, but nothing to make it pop. It looks more like it was designed in the 90's, or by someone in their 90's. Overall it does have a good selection of stores and can keep you entertained for a few hours. The selection is limited if you are looking to shop for anything other than phones...they have every phone store on the planet here! When they do a new Phone release you are better off coming here than waiting in a day long line at another place. The food court does have a great selection, but I may be biased because I let my belly do most of my thinking. I can always find something to eat! read more

Looking at the Sherwood Park Mall you wouldn't expect too much out of it. But actually it's full of good shopping! There's clothing stores, shoe stores, card stores, a Chapters... Even a David's Tea, which is super exciting because I'm a tea addict and this location is closest to me. You can do groceries here, shop, and even go see a movie! Or I suppose you could work out, since there is a gym here. I'd rather pig out on popcorn though. Speaking of food, the food court is a little small but it's got a good selection - from Thai to tacos, it's got quite the range of food. There's even two Starbucks in the mall for all you coffee addicts. read more

Have shopped here since the store opened. Most of the cashiers have been very friendly and the shoe and clothing associates were very helpful too. However, I witnessed one of the managers being very rude to a customer over a simple question. It was not professional. Not the biggest mall out there but it has it's charm. This mall has started to become more and more modern in recent years adding stores like West 49, Below the Belt, Le Chateau, etc...I used to attend high school just across the street so I spent a few hours here as a teen to say the least. I can usually find what I am looking for here and it's not typically crazy busy. It's central to Sherwood Park as well so it is easy to get to and parking is not usually an issue. This rating was originally about the Sherwood Park Mall, but somehow it was moved to Sport Chek. Sport Check has now moved, and although often too pricey for me, I sometimes cannot avoid shopping here. For the most part, I have had extremely helpful and friendly staff. The one time though, when I truly needed helping, looking for a skating helmet for my daughter, it took me 20 min to find someone willing to help. read more

This new store in Emerald hills has the WORST customer service ever!! Went in to buy headphones Friday July 6... parking lot was empty... should have been my first clue! There was only ONE customer in the whole store at the till. I waited by the locked cases in the front of the store for 10min... not one person even acknowledged my presence.... too busy lacing display shoes I guess. I went to the till to get some help and was ignored by another staff member just fiddling around folding clothes behind the counter for several min. I was obviously bothering her but she finally looks at me, no greeting, but said she would have someone paged to the showcase. Waited another 10 min while someone apparently "went to find a key"... I finally left never being shown anything. On the way out that same one customer that had been at the till said she received the same treatment... had to track down ANYONE to help her! Maybe I should have thrown an item of clothing through the security monitor to get someone's attention! NEVER going back! Wanted to shop local. Don't go there if you're in a hurry & want to BUY something that is under lock & key. Took forever for a sales person to come & unlock the cabinet then just toss the item I wanted to purchase on the counter for the cashier. Then still had to wait in line after all that to pay. Not very professional, could care less about Custmer Service. I'd feel sorry for the owner if this was a small business. Shame on you staff! read more
