I took my toddler there for the first time to their open play gym hour. That part was great. He got to have such a fun time and interact with other small kids. But the young gal working the front desk was so rude and snippy. Very unpleasant to me and my mom. It's too bad she works in an area with kids if she's going to have such an attitude. read more

My 5 year old was invited to a bday party and had a blast! The floor is super bouncy, has a long trampoline and has an upstairs that is set up with tables for a cake area! read more

My daughter has been taking gymnastics classes here for a couple of years now and absolutely loves it! All the coaches are fun and knowledgeable, they treat all the students with respect and make learning fun! read more

History

Established in 2001.

We are a family owned and run business. Sue Harris opened SPORT in 2001. She now runs it with her daughter Taryn.

Meet the Business Owner: Sue H.

Sue has been coaching gymnastics for over 40 years. She moved to Champaign-Urbana, Illinois when she was 16 to train with Olympic Coach Dick Mulivihill at the McKinley YMCA. Sue was teammates with Olympians Colleen Mulivihill, Nancy Thies and 3-time Olympian Linda Metheny-Mulivihill. She traveled with them to the 1972 Olympic Games. Sue was a 2-time Collegiate Nationals competitor for the University of Oregon. She was the Arkansas State Judging Director from 1985-1987 and was a Class 1 Judge. Sue opened S.P.O.R.T. in 2001 and has been coaching State Champions ever since.

This will keep you humble at times, but that's part of the challenge. From the people who meet and greet you at the carts to the people in the pro shop, the food and beverage people downstairs all the way to the top of management...there is a new purpose and vision for what this course can be and they are stopping at nothing to make sure it happens. Looking forward to changes from now to the end of the year as well as next year. They just keep chipping off things that haven't been dealt with for a while. Well done BMR!
