We checked out Riverfront Rock Gym during the summer of 2022 while we were camping in Wenatchee. It was one of those really hot summers with temperatures in the north of 90 degrees Fahrenheit. After checking out in the morning, we still wanted to do more in Wenatchee before heading back to Seattle. We quickly polled the kids while yelping to see what was available in the area for a good, kid-friendly fun. Unanimously, rock climbing was the top (well, the only) choice and off we went! The front desk staff were very friendly, inviting, and professional handling a large group of four families. Digitally signing the liability forms on their iPads was pretty simple and we were able to get the kids checked in with proper shoes and climbing harness apparatus. Once the kids were fully equipped, the staff guided all of us to the rock gym area, which was very spacious with numerous options, obstacles, and challenges. Their staff went over the specifics of each rock wall, how to secure the harness, safety features, what to do, and how to have fun. We were in great hands and I appreciate how inviting they were to the kids to try out any wall with their help. We loved every moment and our kids made many memories. read more

We have enjoyed this place several times before. For the climbing, blue star coffee, beer, and pretty good food. We hosted our sons birthday here for which they have a package deal. Our guests and our family had great time making memories, and so much of our great experience comes from a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I was in town for vacation and spent a few days at the gym. Great place! Really nice high walls, plenty of auto-belay routes, overhangs and cracks. There's a nice training area with hang boards, tension board etc. When I went, I found both days the staff were really helpful, friendly. and knowledgeable. Since it is close to Leavenworth they do a lot of outdoor climbing. To top it off the owner Stewart is super nice and approachable. I have been to a bunch of climbing gyms and rarely do I get to meet the owner and here he was checking me in. Not knowing he was the owner, I asked if I could get someone to help me with my climbing technique and he offered to help. We spent an hour together and he gave me great feedback on my technique! Other benefits, there's a cafe in the gym and they have a nice store where you can find all sorts of gear including cams, biners and really nice selection of climbing shoes. I would definitely come back if I am in the area in the future. read more

Amazing gym! It's so new and clean and the routes are changed often! The people who work here are amazing and very professional! The coaches for the kids club are incredible too because they remind the kids of how to behave in a climbing gym and teach them climbing gym etiquette. Way to go, folks! oh and their little cafe they have with amazing food, coffee and beer for consumption after climbing is awesome. Brilliant business model :) love this spot! read more

Find someplace else to rent a paddle board. I rented one for my wife's birthday. $45 for a full day, not too bad. We got the paddle board all set up and she was out having fun at Confluence Park. After her 3rd trip out (about 3 hours into the rental) she did a big loop down the shore and back. Coming back the current and wind were picking up. Right when she was about 50 ft from shore, the bottom of the paddle just popped off and sank. She was totally stranded. Fearing that the current would take her back out she had to jump in and swim the board into shore. I returned the board and explained the situation. Worst part is they charged me $50 to replace the paddle. Yes, I did sign the paper assuming all damages, but I would have expected some kind of understanding because, in my opinion, it was mechanical failure, and not our responsibility. Either way I wont be renting any paddle boards from here ever again. I just cant trust the equipment with our safety and the customer service isn't worth it either. read more

RRG is one of the Wenatchee's best. Its so refreshing to finally have a place in town thats exciting and new. The boulder wall and routes are challenging and constantly changing so you'll never get bored. The route setters at RRG are top notch and make routes both hard and easy (for all ages to enjoy) and also challenging ones that push your mind and body. I think what makes RRG such a great place though is the people. Every single staff member is passionate about rock climbing, and that attitude bleeds into every aspect of the business. From the front staff to the cafe staff, they are all incredibly friendly, kind, accommodating and professional. They are all knowledgable in everything rock climbing and are helpful to those that know little about the sport. They greet you warmly and take keen interest into your climbing. in the 6 months I have been a member of this gym I have gotten to know the staff and they are all incredible people. They make RRG truly one of the best places in Wenatchee. Their customer service is top notch and certainly other businesses in town should take note. Now the food. RRG may have genius route setters, but they also have genius bakers and cooks working to make deliciously creative pizzas, paninis, and assorted baked goods (among other delicious goodies offered). Ive tried most of the items they have to offer and none has disappointed. Their pizzas rival the best that can be offered by Lemolo. Their baked goods like there carrot cake muffins, layered pumpkin cheesecake and lemon bars (just a few to name) are equal or better than that offered at the best bakery in town. Their beer bread is miles better than what McGlinns used to offer. Even for someone that doesn't rock climb, this place should be one that should be visited just for the food and the friendly staff. Whenever I look to review an establishment, I look for three things: service, food and ambiance. RRG nails it on all counts. The staff provides top notch service. Those same people make some of the best food in the valley and that same friendliness bleeds into the ambiance of the rock climbing gym. This is hands down the BEST climbing gym I've ever been too. The route setting really sets it apart. It's awesome. Even "easy" climbs in the 5.8-5.9 range often involve fun moves! There is an upstairs bouldering area with gates, allowing me to practice and keep track of my kids at the same time. There are plenty of routes, both bouldering and sport climbing of all grade levels, allowing plenty of practice for complete beginners, as well as for advanced level Climbing. My wife, who is new to Climbing, has plenty of easy boulders to try, and I have plenty of harder boulders to sink my teeth into. There are several auto-belays. They set all routes by color, which is SO much better than the tape system some gyms use. The grading is of routes is broad but accurate. The food and beer selection is great. I get a "belay burrito" every time - feels so healthy and so tasty for under $6! I live between wenatchee and Spokane and I drive to this gym 2 to 4 times a month when I'm not outdoor climbing because it's better than any of the other alternatives, even the gym is in Spokane. read more

Rented some paddle boards for my family, long story short I got sick and left the boards with someone trusting they would be returned if not on time at the very least the following day. Well that didn't happen,.I was hospitalized and had no idea the boards weren't returned until I was released from the hospital 2 weeks later. The gym has been trying to get a hold of me but being so sick I didn't even check my voicemails. Rent came due and being out of work I was nervous about having enough funds and actually made it happen. Rightfully so the gym not receiving the boards charges my card and that's how I found out the boards weren't returned. I tracked them down, returned them being extremely embarrassed and the owner Stuart along with the manager derrick we're so understanding they credited my card back. Even after loosing sale's they were extremely sympathetic to my personal situation when it wasn't deserved. Hats off to you all and I'm forever grateful to your company.
