After visiting Jacqueline a few times, I realized I was really only truly aware of the various aches and pains that were a constant part of me. I realized that I had begun to carry myself in a way that helped mask the aches, but never really treated them. The work Jacqueline does has allowed me to be more aware of healthy and efficient ways of sitting, standing, and moving that are the most comfortable and steady for my body. When I leave Jacqueline's office, I walk straighter, stand taller, and feel much more even. The more I see her, the longer these effects remain between sessions. I am grateful to have stumbled across Feldenkrais, and even more grateful for Jacqueline!

I highly recommend working with her to treat any type of bodily pain that you might be experiencing.

I would not waste my time and hard earned money going here. You would be better off reading a book…read moretitled: "Back Mechanic, The secrets to a healthy spine your doctor isn't telling you." Very predatory business practice that prefers to maximize profit over your pain and suffering. In my research, I randomly came across a video by P.h.D professor, Steward McGill, in regards to the McKenzie push up, and he mentioned: "If your herniated disc height in your low back is not 70% or above, doing the McKenzie push up will traumatize the joint(disc)." They like to use the term called, "Degenerative Disc Disease." That is a blanket statement that they use with everyone because they don't know what is going on. Well, in response to that I would say, regeneration and rejuvenation. There are patches out there that you can use to stimulate your body to produce stem cells. Believe me, all this is coming from someone who has a Bachelor's degree in Health Science, and used to be Chiropractic student at some point in my life. Aside from experience, I have been researching this stuff for YEARS! Treatment falls into two broad categories: Passive treatment and Active treatment. Passive treatment is having some machine, device or somebody do something to you. For example, having a decompression machine pull and release your neck or back. Passive therapies administered from machines or devices do not address or correct the cause of the pain. Passive treatment rarely increases the likelihood of a long-term back pain cure. Active treatment requires the patient to patient to participate in some manner or fashion that works toward a cure. For example, learning to move in a way that avoids the pain triggers is an active treatment. Avoid becoming an ATM machine for ineffectual or incompetent clinicians: reserve your right to walk away if the clinician focuses all their efforts on relief and none on cure. As a Christian from Iran, no wonder my prayers for healing never got answered. It's because of people like them. No educational references to books nor proper body movements and mechanics nor exercises were given to me in order to deal with my herniated disk between L5 and S1. In addition to all that, at some point in the middle of the treatment process, the chiropractor supervising the DRX 9000 decompression machine, Mr Jerome Craig, messed up my neck by cracking my neck the wrong way. Once I was in a seated position, he had me drop my head, and after proceeding to rotate my head and neck to one side, he saw and felt that it was jammed. As a professional, he had the knowledge, experience, and opportunity NOT to rotate to the other side. It forces you to ask yourself the question: "What in the hell was the purpose of going to Chiropractic school for FOUR YEARS if you can not make a simple decision on whether or not it's appropriate to crack the neck, ESPECIALLY AFTER PALPATION, EXAMINATION, ASSESSMENT, AND THE FACT THAT YOU GOT YOUR HINT ONCE YOU FELT AND SAW THAT IT WAS JAMMED GOING TO ONE SIDE!!? No apologies, no attempt was made to correct his mistake, and no advice was given to me on how to correct his mistake. He just went dead silent. For the first time in my life, I felt what it feels like standing face to face with pure evil as someone who calls himself a bone cracker. As a result of his adjustment, for ten months, I could not turn my neck to the left while driving to check my blind spot, and my neck started to constantly click, pop, and crack whenever I moved my head forward, and rotated it to the right. A new symptom and restricted range of motion that I had never experienced in my entire life! I even asked Mr. Jerome if I could see a specific type of Chiropractor(ex. Ring Dinger or Gonstead) so I could get a specific type of adjustment in order to fix this problem. However, he still refused to give me a Yes or No answer! He just acknowledged that he knew what is a ring dinger, and what type of an adjustment it is. For a few months after his adjustment, I started having symptoms of neuropathy in both hands and fingers, sharp pain on the left side of my neck, 24/7 constant neck clicking, cracking, and popping when sleeping in bed facing the ceiling whenever I moved my neck to the right on my pillow(new symptom that I had never experienced in my whole life), chest pain, sharp upper back pain on both sides, switching from one side to the other side on a daily basis(new symptom that I had never experienced in my whole life), chronic pain in the front of my neck muscles(new symptom that I had never experienced in my whole life), as well as numbness and tingling sensations on the left side of my face, mainly around and over the left ear lobe to be more specific(new symptom that I had never experienced in my whole life). For five to six months, every night, I would cry myself to sleep, and while driving and walking through out my day, I never felt comfortable with my body movements and my surroundings.

Treated for 90 days absolutely did nothing. My symptoms got worse and all it did was put my money in his pocket. I contacted other placed that use this POS mechanical snake oil machine they all said the same thing. This machine can't help your condition and we shouldn't treat you, but DR Alvis says different until my last day of treatment then it was "Well we gave it our best shot Good luck to you" R-U-F@#king kidding Me. The staff is very professional but is being mislead by a Dr. who is excessively over exaggerating what that machine does and can do. It broke at 48 lbs. neck pull it couldn't make it to 50 lbs. I had surgery on my neck 03-12-2025 and already starting to get feeling back in my hands. So after almost $4000 out of pocket the best you can do is "Well we tried" "Hey you take care now" "Good luck" WOW just WOW. Valley view has a similar machine and they treated me but after a specialist looking at my MRI they said they couldn't help me and suggested surgey and refunded the money. Valley view Medical center in Gresham OR is where you want to go. Don't even bother with Genesis.

And…read moreas I get older, I can't deny that my body takes a little longer to recover than it used to. Fortunately, Dr. Eric Rosenberg has helped me turn back the clock, almost like finding the fountain of youth, with his painless and holistic acupuncture treatments. Acupuncture Experience - It all started after a long road trip when my lower back tensed up. While massages helped, I wanted to make sure it wouldn't turn into a long-term issue. That's when my massage therapist recommended Dr. Rosenberg. From the very first visit, he explained everything in a way that actually made sense--no complicated medical jargon, just clear and simple explanations. Having grown up in a Chinese household, I was immediately sold on his blend of Western and traditional Chinese methods. I had been to acupuncture before and wasn't exactly a fan of needles, so I told him upfront. He took the time to walk me through his process, explaining how he'd insert the needles and even offering to tap his fingers next to the area to distract me. To my surprise, I barely felt a thing--to the point where sometimes I didn't even realize the needle was in. Unlike my past experiences, Dr. Rosenberg takes a truly holistic approach, mixing in manual therapy and electric stimulation, both of which are completely painless and work together to speed up the healing process. Fast forward to now--I recently took the same exact road trip that originally caused my back to tense up, and this time? No pain at all. Thanks to Dr. Rosenberg, I don't have to worry about it turning into a recurring issue. I'm beyond grateful to have him as part of my care team and have already recommended him to friends and family. He's not just a great acupuncturist--he treats you like a friend rather than just another patient. Location/Park - Located right near the heart of Portland by Lloyd Center, with a private parking lot between NE Rodney and NE MLK that is shared between the other businesses in the building. As soon as you walk in, you'll be greeted by a warm, welcoming space that makes it easy to relax and unwind.

My daughter and I were so frustrated and hopeless feeling by the end of the appointment that we were both in tears, and he just proceeded to talk louder at us, almost in frustration towards us. I would give this review zero stars if I could. Do not go here. Do not see him. Save yourself the frustration. Shame on you Dr Barmada, for how you treated my daughter. Oh didn't you get the text that we sent out rescheduling your appointment 4 days from now because the doctor's in surgery today? No. Would I be here now if I had? Fortunately their incompetence is not indicative of the work of the surgeons there. Or you'd be in real trouble! I noticed this seems to be happening more and more often in the medical community, which has never been great to begin with. Low education poor training. Just double check your appointment

What makes her so awesome is that: 1) Rachel is a great listener. She pays 100% attention to you during your session and does a great job taking notes to document your symptoms and ongoing progress. 2) Rachel will work with you to achieve your goals. I've never heard her say anything to the effect of 'you shouldn't do that in your condition or with your limitations'. Instead, she will explore those limitations herself and find out where you're at and work with you and provide you the exercises and stretches to push your boundaries. Having been diagnosed with bad knees, I've heard a lot of PTs tell me I shouldn't be running. It's not what I want to hear but, more importantly, it makes all sorts of assumptions about my running gait and the effects of running on my joint health. 3) Rachel has a ton of knowledge and ideas for developing your muscles and improving your issues. I'm familiar with a lot of exercises but she definitely introduced me to a lot of new movements and stretches. If something doesn't work, I let her know (but usually she's pretty good at proactively eliciting my feedback) and she constantly tweaks the treatment program. If you have the opportunity to work with Rachel, I highly recommend her! I'm sure you'll be as impressed as I was!
