I've never seen a place like it! (and that's a good thing!) A friend of mine recommended; since I've been considering a new bowling ball and she just bought one at Gebhardt's... I just cannot say enough about the customer experience here! I wish I'd known about this store before I bought mine & my husbands' new bowling shoes! We will be back! and we WILL be telling friends/family! The store is a little cluttered, but very organized, and from the second you walk in you just get that warm n fuzzy mom & pop shop kind of feel; where you know you're just downright going to get the best. And we did. The bowling department was a little on the crowded side, and seemed to only be manned by Ed (who was AWESOME!) but he handled it well. We waited about 15 minutes for him to be free and help us out, again though I must say - worth the wait. This guy is like Dr. Bowling... he took the time to explain things/items/techniques, and answered questions - he really made us feel like he enjoyed and loved both his job and the sport. What I really liked is that, I am a recreational (for fun only) bowler, and he treated me just as well as he treated the serious pro-leaguers that were in there. He was honest, and no nonsense, and didn't try to upsell me or make me feel like my ignorance of the sport and ball types was in any way inconvenient to him. As a matter of fact, I'd like to say he was entertained by us. In any case, I don't know if it's because my husband mentioned the ball was my birthday present or what, but he measured my grip, custom drilled and engraved my ball with my name right then and there; fit it perfectly to my hand, and pretty much taught me how to throw this ball that's so different from my old $20 Kmart special one that the finger holes were way too big for me. I cannot wait to go bowling next weekend with my beautiful new ball! Thanks again to Ed; who just plain out ROCKED! And also to the nice lady (whose name I missed, but the lady with the cough) for ringing us up and also being so pleasant & pleasurable to work with. 5 Stars all the way!

The classes they offer on bicycle maintenance, riding in the street and overall safety are invaluable. I'll have to admit that I was a bit turned off when a board member made a derogatory and *expletive deleted* comment to me when I questioned the raising of the price of yearly membership dues, but I still continue to support this organization because it is the organization that matters and the work that they do-not some ego-minded ignorant comment made by PM. Stop by if you need some advice on bicycle safety, need your bike tuned up or just want to volunteer. Kids, I believe they still have a program whereby you can volunteer and work to get a bike.
