Her name was Delaney and she was super nice, friendly, and genuinely helpful. I wanted a shirt but they didn't have it in my size at the store, so she looked online and said they had it in stock online. I still wasn't sure which size I would take, so she helped me find shirts that would be comparable sizing and material so that I could try those on and get the best guess I possibly could before ordering. There was another sales associate there with her who was also super nice and helpful. Unfortunately I didn't catch her name. Very friendly, dark hair - pulled back, young. We talked about washing instructions for linen shirts ;-) Anyways, I bought 2 shirts, then Delaney also placed my online order through their computer system and had the shirt delivered straight to me, with free shipping. As I was paying, I saw the other associate wrapping my shirts all nice in tissue paper :-) Normally when I shop at stores in general, I kind of just go in, get what I need on my own, and leave, and that's that. Sometimes sales people can be pushy, and it's not really my thing. But shopping here was the exact opposite - a very pleasant experience. I have probably only been in a J Crew store about 3 times in my life, but now I'll make it a regular stop when my husband goes to the Apple store!

The sales assistants are so nice and friendly. Here's a tip, ask if there are additional sizes in the back. I was able to purchase 3 additional pieces I really liked by asking. I love their clothing and although full price is kinda pricey, the sales are incredible. The store is well laid out. Nice assortment of clothing - casual and dressy. They limit the number of customers in the store at one time so if you open the door and check they will wave you in or ask you to wait. Overall I was extremely happy with my shopping experience. I am not a regular shopper at White House Black Market but I think i might visit more often since I've been pleasantly surprised each time I went.

For $60-$80 per dress, they were a good value. At the original $190/dress, they were overpriced. The sales gal was more than patient with me, actually bringing me more and more dresses to try on despite not asking her too. One of the two I purchased were ones that she brought to me. They are a great place for helping you put together a full outfit (shoes, jewelry, etc).
