I had already called around to several stores trying to find a kids' pink Inter Miami Messi jersey, but everyone else was sold out. I decided to stop by, and I'm glad I did. Carlos was super friendly and helpful, and I was able to get the jersey. I even ended up picking up some shorts as well. I also appreciated that Carlos suggested a jersey from last season to save some money; something you don't always see, and it really stood out as thoughtful and customer-focused. What really impressed me was how Carlos treated another customer while I was there. A parent came in looking for cleats for her child and mentioned she was on a tight budget. Carlos took the time to help her out, showing genuine care and understanding. The store gets an A+ from me. Great customer service, good selection, and a staff that goes above and beyond. I would definitely go back!

It turns out the boots I wanted were not stocked in the store and I was told the boots had to be ordered online. I am always hesitant to order boots that I cannot test fit first, but I was assured I could exchange them if I needed a different size. So, I went ahead and ordered the boots online and also added a t-shirt that caught my eye. When the order arrived, the boots fit good but the t-shirt was a size too small. A couple of days ago I drove to the retail store to simply exchange the t-shirt for the next bigger size, which they had in-stock. That's when I was shocked to find out that they could not exchange the shirt for a bigger size. The reason given was that they changed their return policy and all online order returns must be done by shipping the item back to their warehouse. I asked the salesperson if I could just drive to the warehouse (2.4 miles away) to make the exchange, but was told the warehouse is now closed to the public. (I'd visited the warehouse in the past to pickup previous orders held in will call.) So when I went home and got online to process a return/exchange, I found out that I am required to pay $15.00 for a FedEx shipping label to have the item shipped. For a $16.00 t-shirt, it's ridiculous to pay $15.00 to ship the item back just to exchange it for the proper size. I've been a customer of LAPG for several years and have always been pleased with the retail store staff, but I am not at all pleased with this new corporate exchange/return policy. Seems ridiculous that I could not simply exchange a t-shirt which is one size too small for the correct size shirt which is right there, in-stock, just because the original purchase was done online. The only reason I originally made the order online was because the boots I wanted were not stocked in-store. So if I'd been able to originally purchase the boots and t-shirt in-store, I would have been able to exchange the t-shirt in-store. But, because I purchased online, I have to pay $15.00 for shipping so I could get the correct size shirt? This makes absolutely no sense and online buyers should be aware of this ridiculous policy.

I didn't care for the laced ones, so I politely asked if they had the slip-on version. They did--just not in my size. No issue, I thanked them and left. As I was sitting in my car, one of the employees actually came outside and questioned me, asking why I was trying on shoes if I wasn't going to buy them. Completely unprofessional, unnecessary, and flat-out rude. I had every intention of purchasing the boots, but since they didn't have my size in stock, ordering online made more sense. Instead of understanding that, I was treated like an inconvenience for simply trying on a product. After that interaction, I won't be returning. There are plenty of places to spend money where customers aren't harassed for checking sizes. Customer service here is clearly not a priority.

After getting orthotics from a podiatrist (and learning, much to my disappointment, that I now have a wide foot!), I went in with a specific list of shoes I wanted to try. Cameron and Jaro were incredibly patient and knowledgeable as I worked through my list...and when none of them quite worked, Cameron suggested a pair I never would have chosen on my own. It ended up being absolutely perfect for me. I couldn't be more thrilled -- and for the first time in a long time, my feet don't hurt. Their communication was excellent, they were never pushy, and their follow-up afterward was terrific. The entire experience felt thoughtful and personalized. I initially debated just ordering online from Zappos for convenience, but Runner's Lane got the shoes to me just as quickly -- at the same price -- and with service you simply cannot replicate online. There's no way I could have realistically tried on 8-10 pairs of shoes by mail without dealing with endless boxes and returns. Being able to try everything in-store with expert guidance made all the difference. It truly pays to support small businesses like this. They are knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely care about helping people find the right fit. I can't recommend Runner's Lane highly enough.

You just walk in, shop, show yourself to the dressing room and then checkout. Only one woman behind the counter and I think she's the only salesperson in the whole store, she was nice though! Got a really cute spring/summer dress and had my eye on a couple other things I saw in the window. Will be back most likely, I work at the mall so I walk past often. :)
