I never thought I would be doing a boudoir photo shoot but there I was responding to an ad in Instagram and booking for a session... I had a 15-min consultation appt to give me a rundown of what to expect and was given a date to schedule for the photo session. When I chose the appt date I didn't realize that I chose the following day after the consultation call and there I was yesterday in Downtown Vacaville ready to capture this empowering experience. I made it to the studio, waited for my appointment time, I had a few minutes to spare... and the rest is part of my self-love history. My boudoir photography session (I felt) was all about celebrating me-- beauty, confidence, and individuality. The experience was a first for me and the ladies made me feel comfortable, they made it fun, and they were so supportive overlooking all my imperfections where I was able to truly shine. I didn't have to think at all during the photo shoot... they guide you through the entire session. The session lasted about three hours. Thank you to Kristen who did my makeup and hair. Tameka was the awesome photographer and I believe it was Riley who was the lead over production who will be cleaning up the photos (editing process)? I apologize if I got it wrong. Anyway, I'm glad I did this. The final digital photos will be delivered in two weeks. Just had the pleasure of getting my picture taken for my business cards. Any one who knows me…read moreknows that I actually hate having my picture taken. Flashbacks to all the bad school photos throughout the years, i guess. This was not one of those times. Ryan was really, really great to work with and did his best to make me feel confident, comfortable, and happy with the end result. He scheduled me quickly and produced pictures for me that I could start using the same day. The most recent pictures he took were for head shots to send to acting agencies. My acting instructor, George Maguire -who recently received a Lifetime Achievement award for his work in film and setting many acting students on to successful careers- told me these pictures Ryan took were outstanding and rivaled those of photographers who have a big reputation for head shots in the film industry. Look at my profile to see another example of Ryan's excellent work which I've used for my business cards and web site. His prices are quite fair, and his work is superb. He's very personable and made me feel relaxed and laugh a lot throughout our sessions which resulted in great pictures. Ryan is very generous with the time he provides to take shots that you can tell he takes with a keen eye and sense for what you're trying to capture. I'm very critical of myself, and I've never been happier with photos I've had taken than those which Ryan has done for me. He's not afraid to give his opinion on which pictures he feels are your best, but he'll support the choices you make. I've been in sales before, so I'm sensitive to when people tell me what they think I want to hear so they can boost their sale. I didn't get that with Ryan at all. I can tell he really gets what I'm after, and cares about my getting the best pictures possible. I can't more highly recommend him.
