They say they will set up additional testing, yet it doesn't happen until you call several times over the span of three weeks to remind them. When you have the testing done, they will never call to tell you the results... until you call them to remind them several weeks later. Medication refills... prepare to wait a week or more, if it ever actually gets done. I wanted to add another family member as a new patient. After I submitted the paperwork, weeks went by without a response, until I called to remind them. Since we have employer health care coverage, we pay a LOT for our medical care, and the 'care' we get from Luke Medical is not worth our hard-earned money. I can understand a business having one slack employee... and the business will usually fire that employee and get a competent one in his/her place, so as not to tarnish their reputation, but there are so many things going wrong with Luke Medical Clinic that they'd have to fire everyone and start from scratch. They did have a bunch of people leave about a year ago and go to other practices, I guess that tells volumes about this office.

Incidentally, Lyrica was prescribed because of neuropathy in my feet. He listened to my chest and complained about his previous Employer Novant Health, no standard questions, no foot examination. it was hard to decide to leave this practice after over 20 years, because doctor Larsens assistant, Aja, was equally as competent as Dr. Larsen. The medical assistants are sweet AND my prior auths have went through smoothly. Rx have always been submitted in a timely manner. They even mailed me lab results! Not sure what much you could ask for in a doctor's office! I love it here and recommend 10/10. Although, there was an initial mixup where the office had a wrong number for me so when I showed up they said my appointment was cancelled but they were unable to contact me. That's why I'm not giving 5 stars. The next appointment they were very apologetic and kind, though. They made sure all of my info was corrected. Dr Malta was awesome! She took the time to listen to me and offered suggestions. I didn't feel rushed like I have in the past with physicians. Her suggestions were very helpful and she ordered my multiple meds without giving me a hard time. So glad that I found her!!

He's usually good to work you in if needed but with doctors schedule today that can't be a guarantee, but he has been there for me 9+ year's now and he's been by far the best doctor I've had all 37 year's of my life.He also treat's some other family members with much respect both ways. I moved back to Charlotte and was looking for a doctor near my home so tried this office out. I…read morehad to wait 40 minutes for my first visit even though I had an appt. I was told that I would have to return the next week for to have blood drawn. Even though I had an appt for that, I had to wait about 30 minutes in the first waiting room then was taken to the back to wait again. While waiting, the staff left the lab area to go into the exam rooms for patients who came in after me but I had to wait for all of that before they spend 3 minutes drawing my blood. I would not recommend this office. I have not been back since.
