Poor customer service by Roman who is a store assistant manager. We thought we purchased two firearms we wanted however, after purchase, it was realized that the firearms were not the exact ones we wanted. Not going to get into full details but as their return policy is not posted anywhere in person or on the receipt, Roman is stating all firearms purchases are final as he also refused to advise me what time the store manager would arrive to the store the next day. He was extremely rude and is the complete opposite of their sales person code of conduct. Go to another place of business where people are treated with better dignity, and moreso, veterans and first responders. read more

Bought a Mossberg Patriot 30-06 and wouldn't fire. After a month of getting it back it fires but doesn't seem right. I'm taking it to a local gun shop now. The experience with Sportsman's Warehouse and Mossberg sucked. I do not recommend either. read more

This complaint is for the online customers and vitrification 3rd party team. Horrible customer service. I tried ordering leupold binoculars over cyber Mondays sale... my order was on Monday.., on Tuesday it got cancelled by their vitrification team... on Wednesday I called customer service. I was told someone would reach out to me. On Thursday i called customer service I was told somebody would reach out to me. I called Thursday night I was told someone would reach out to me... It's now Friday evening and my account still can't place orders and no one has called or emailed me. Now that cyber Monday is over they are trying to tell me I have to pay full price. So basically Sportsman's Warehouse put an item for sale, I purchased this item, then they canceled it, and now are making me wait and reorder it at a higher price.. I've used them for years and very very displeased with this. I even had one customer service rep laugh at me over the phone when I ask for them to honor the original purchase price. read more

Be aware of ordering if you really want to get an item. Placed an order on a item. I called after several days and was told it it would be delivered the following Thursday. I just received an email that indicates it won't be delivered until 6the following Sunday. This can only be described as extremely POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. The SAD part is this is the only source of reloading supplies in the area. The people at the Local Store are Great and this is NO REFLECTION ON THEM. Just the corporate office. Don't know how they stay in business with this type of service. But I guess if you are the only one in town you can get away with it. read more

I've shopped here since the store opened. Overall not a bad experience but the store has some drawbacks. My biggest pet peeve is that they have sale racks with merchandise advertised as X% off but when you want to checkout the item you selected isn't on their sale list. Yesterday I tried to purchase an item that was marked $17.95. The sign on the rack said 70% off lowest marked price. This was a rack of all the same items just different sizes. When I got to the register the clerk said the item was $27.95. This isn't the 1st time this has happened in this store. This store has recently been remodeled and I guess I can see why their might be some confusion but it makes for a poor customer experience. read more

Made my first trip to Sportsmen Warehouse on 12/14/20. I ordered 2 firearms on line a week earlier and went to pick them up. Store is clean and well organized. As far as picking up firearms you take a number and wait your turn. It took me maybe 10 min to be called. The sales person was very professional and knowledgeable about the products I was picking up. Just about the smoothest experience I've ever had in a big box store. I will do business with SW again. read more

Good selection of things, great prices but unfortunately I'm not impressed with the customer service. Today me and my boyfriend came to look at the guns, Mr. Dan was the only one in the gun section. When we got there he was with a couple at the counter, we patiently waited until it was our turn.. about 10 minutes go by and Dan is still having a conversation with the couple and we have not yet been greeted and standing very close by. I could understand if it was a work related talk, but that was NOT the case. It was a personal conversation. Regardless of that, I didn't want to be rude so I just stood there until the older lady "realized" we were waiting to be helped. As a minority, it's a slap in the face. To just stand there as if we're not even there.. Greeting someone or simply saying "I'll be right with you" makes a HUGE difference.. but Dan didn't bother. Having someone with no customer service makes any establishment look TERRIBLE. When he finally went over to help us we let him know we wanted to sell a gun and buy another, but the man who gives the estimates was not there. Dan told us more than once that we would not get the full price value (which we are aware of, that was not an issue at all) but him continuously letting know, made us not want to sell nor buy there. read more

Sportsman's Warehouse has a great selection of hunting and fishing gear. Their ammunition isn't always well stocked (due to supply issues). My biggest issue is the complete lack of women's hunting clothing and gear. read more

We decided to stop at this store to check it out because it was on the way and my husband was looking for some work pants. We were walking around for a bit and decided we needed a fitting room. I walked up to the register because I couldn't find any worker anywhere and asked if I could get a fitting room for my husband. There was 3 employees just talking between each other and told me they would get someone there for me and proceeded to call someone on the intercom, I said thanks and walked back. We waited about 20 min at the fitting room and nobody came. We walked around looking for an employee again but had no luck. My husband decided he would just go shop somewhere else and left the clothes he was going to try on. As we were walking out we passed by the registers again and there were 3 employees there still just standing around talking to each other. We ended up just going to Academy and it was a much better experience and cheaper! read more

Worst Customer Service! If you like being ignored, total they can't find yor order ij the computer one day and next day tell you it's been refunded to your bank. However one week later no refund, no item that was ordered onsite at that store one month ago. Customer Service representative ask what do you want me to do about it and turn her back and walks away. This place has gone downhill, fast. The selection has dwindled, bathrooms are disgusting, and there is stuff everywhere with no price tag in sight. From the floors to abandoned shopping carts and even cardboard boxes, it seems merchandise is anywhere but where it should be. Employees have posted hand drawn aisle markers to try to give customers some semblance of what is supposed to be on each. I honestly feel bad for the workers of such a poorly run business. Sportsman's Warehouse is almost like the Walmart of the outdoor enthusiast's world. Not in the bad ways, but that you could go and just spend hours walking around if you have nothing else to do. Time stands still the moment I step through those doors... There's a good assortment of shoes and boots (more of a variety than any other outdoor gear retailer in Columbia) at the front of the store, and they're well organized not only by gender & age, but also by genre (kid's hiking, kid's trail running, etc). Beyond shoes is a moderate section for clothing. Guns, ammo, shooting supplies, bows, tactical gear, fishing gear, boating gear, small water craft, camping gear, hiking gear, snacks, tactical supplies and more make up the rest of the perimeter. Then, in the middle of the retail space, is my favorite section: the knife display cases. Oh, my beautiful babies! Such gorgeous pieces from CRKT, Kershaw, Spyderco, Ka-Bar, Gerber, Cold Steel, Alaska and more. One of the (if not *the*) best knife selections in the area, too. read more

I appreciate the ladies in the gun area but when I checked out, I was told there was an error with my card for the $66+ charge, so they proceeded to process it again. I check my bank app shortly after leaving to now see I'm overdrawn as both charges did go through putting my money on hold twice, leaving me with a negative balance. I called only to be told it will go away in a couple of days, yet I am still living within my means and needing this money for those "couple of days." I return to the store to ask that they fix this error and end up leaving shouting, "AM I INVISIBLE?" as I counted SEVEN customer service representatives not even acknowledging my presence as they stood around staring at me for the last 7 minutes, more than enough time after helping the last customer at the counter where I stood while they talked amongst themselves. I'll shop online elsewhere before I will go back there. Teach your staff to at the very least, ACKNOWLEDGE the customer. You lost me for life. read more

I shopped there yesterday. Service was good. Amazingly, the employees do no wear mask and they do not maintain social distance with customers. All customers were wearing mask but I didn't see a single employee wearing a mask. I have already warned my friends to not risk infection by shopping there until after the pandemic is over. read more

We visited Sportsman on 4/13/21 and unfortunately the lack of service that we received was nothing like that of the past. I was ready to buy a firearm that was in stock but unfortunately the associate at the gun counter was more eager to have a conversation with another associate and let him feel out the rifles that he was interested in. Both associates were wearing their vests, so I could only assume he and she...maybe should have been a little concerned on what I was going to purchase. No other customers were at the counter. The other associate behind the counter didn't even acknowledge my presence, what ever he was looking at on his cell phone definitely looked more important. Needless to say, we left the other items we were going to purchase and headed a few minutes away to Palmetto State Armory. The associate that worked with me was more than helpful with my purchase. It was a bit more expensive, but helpful, knowledgeable associates that actually want to help customers is worth it. read more

I have all the evidence to prove they didn't hold up their end of the sales agreement and do NOT care about customers. I would be very careful to how I spend money shopping for items. I have been shopping at this store for 5 years. Never had a bad encounter until recently. A young employee behind the gun case profiled me, made it seem like i was stealing, and as I time around to inquire about a case of ammunition I wanted to purchase, I catch him morning to another customer to watch me. We made eye contact and everything. When I spoke to the store manager, he said he would be in contact with me after investigating the issue. Still spent my $150. Never heard back from the manager. Corporate doesn't answer their phones. I'm disgusted by the disrespect and lack of professionalism. I will never recommend this company to a soul. My husband absolutely loves this place and insists we "need" something from them every time we drive by on our way to Harbison. They always have just what we "need" and the employees are always awesome. Just a few weeks ago, our toddler was getting antsy after a particularly long shopping time of my husband finding just what he "needed" that day, and one of the employees (a very nice, older gentleman, gosh, I wish I could remember his name!!) came over and started talking to her, totally breaking the funk she was in. Man! Me and my dad love this place. Even though it is a little bit of a drive from our house. We both love to hunt and fish. Sportsman's has great equipment and tackle for almost any true outdoorsman. We sometimes just come and look around even if we don't need anything. The staff works hard, is very friendly, and most of them will crack a funny joke every now and again. Most of what sportsman's carries is high quality. They also carry clothes and shoes that look really nice. It is also very convenient if you are around the area because it is surrounded by other stores and restaurants. If you have never been here definitely come check it out if you love the out doors like I do. read more

Soon his two kids came over (because it was taking so long) and the good ole boy comedy show continued. After 15 minutes of standing and staring at the firearms on the back wall I started to shop around at other stores who had similar firearms and compared prices. 20 minutes and no one acknowledged I was there. Many times, I've seen other places close by and even a few miles out, could not match some of the prices that Sportsman's Warehouse has. Also, some other places that I've been to won't tell you (or do not know) how many firearms they have in stock, but anytime I call this "S.W" store, they know their inventory.
