This was a new experience for me. The staff was friendly and could read my anxious expressions so they took their time to explain things and help me understand the process. They didn't lose their patience with my somewhat ignorant questions and even made me laugh which helped tremendously. It is hot in the back and there was water puddling in places. Shooters Choice is a great shop with LOTS of inventory and unique inventory as well. Staff thats always there if you need help. Lately though, I've been in and been astonished at the lack of actual knowledge of the staff, and now, as well the lack of ability to work on fire arms. They used to do everything and now that's just not the case. If you're new to shooting or just looking for basic help they're great but don't expect anything beyond that. Very nice facility. Great customer service from the front desk members. The gentlemen (2 older men) working at the range/lane desk were very rude, and could use some better customer service skills. After experiencing the unpleasant attitudes at the shooting lane desk, I ultimately decided to just save my money instead and try another facility. It's not what you say but how you say it. Came here to shoot and found nothing to dislike. Yes the range is a bit old, but it's all very straightforward and if you've been to a range before, you won't have any problems. If you haven't, it won't intimidate you because the range shop is laid out with targets for sale, hearing and eye pro for rent and sale, and a friendly employee to guide you through it. Inside the range, the booths just have a single switch to send the target hanger down and up range. The target hangers are an upside down T shape and use clothes pins to attach the targets. In my case I like to shoot index cards, so I had to get a single paper target and then the friendly employee offered me scotch tape to attach my index cards to the large target. No big deal. Pricing is very reasonable. They bill by the half hour. $8/ half hour. Large paper targets are $.99. The store is well lit and guns are laid out by type of firearm and brand. They also have a room off to the side full of gun safes and bags. Surprisingly large store with pretty much everything you need. read more

Went in to check out their range and probably buy a new pistol. Got there about 1:45 and left for home at 3:30. The range said I used my lane for 1 hour 21 minutes (in that Hour and 45 minutes I was in the store). Now mind you, that gave me 24 minutes to decide on a new pistol, do the Form 4473 and check out. That is impossible. What I actually spent in the range was about 20 minutes to shoot 50 rounds. The RSO just smiled when he gave me the bill. I thought he was kidding until I went to check out. The counter guy's attitude was I was an idiot and the range guy was right. Oh and by the way, all this after I made a $1048 purchase. This is the last dollar I spend at Shooter's Choice and I will not be taking students there to purchase either. read more

I really like Shooters Choice! I normally go there to get my rifle sighted in before hunting season or whatever I have a new scope put on a rifle. They also have a great selection of scope mounts for rifles and other accessories you might need. The range is basic but it's all that is needed to shoot or range a weapon. The folks who work there know their stuff. The business only hires people who do and you will find many former LEOs who are retired as employees. I've been a customer for many years now and I'm going there this morning. Give them your business. You will be happy you did. I asked about a new scope mount for an older.22 rifle I had brought with me today. They looked and found one. The guy removed the old scope, put the new one on, bore sighted it, and only charged me for the mount. Was this a big deal for him? Probably not but it saved me time and effort. Little things that make a big difference! read more

Great atmosphere and the employees have a wealth of knowledge. I also got my CWP from them at the cheapest price I could find around the metro-area. CWP class was awesome, they set you up for success. I also purchased a few accessories from them. One accessory I purchased was to extend my factory magazines to add more rounds. They helped me find what I needed and installed it as well, for free. ***My only probably with this Gun Store is, there is no air conditioning in actual in-door shooting range area. It's hot as hell in there in the summer time. In South Carolina it can get warm fast, and when you shooting a firearm trying to focus it will get hot even faster.*** I'll be back, but in the fall/winter time only! read more

Went with my mom today to buy a gun and she wanted to practice shooting first so went to the range and talked to Kelly and another guy who pretty much refused to let her shoot. She has some arthritis so wanted to make sure she was comfortable shooting this gun but she recently got her CWP and we've been to other shooting ranges in the last few months and no problem. They were very disrespectful and rude to her and disbelieving when she said she had her CWP and had experience shooting. It was very uncomfortable and they kept asking her questions as if she was an idiot. I finally told her we needed to leave-these guys need some lessons on how to treat customers and have a little respect for people in general. Very bad for business!! read more

We had a great experience at the gun range here. It was a bit warm in the building I heard fans running but it was still warm. The instructor was amazing he really took his time and guided us on everything we needed to know. This was an experience that we would never forgot. I've been to this place several times and only one of those times was I pleased with the service. My issue with this place is, that if you have a shortage on popular items such as anything Glock, then you need to have a surplus of these items! 3 months is TOO long to wait for Glock 23 or 22 magazines to come in. Not a fan. I was visiting from out of town and this has to be the worst range I've ever been to. It's so so old, has too many dumb rules, and the equipment doesn't work right. You have to hang your target from what looked like an opened up clothes hanger. Good luck getting the hanger with the target to travel in the direction you want it to.
