I bought an item that turned out to be the incorrect item I needed. I came into the store to return the item but they don't return your money without a receipt. I was just there three days before and used a credit card to pay but they couldn't get a refund since it's their policy to give store credit. This is very archaic and old school. They gave me credit for the store, which I didn't need. I needed a refund. I walked around and grabbed an item to use up the store credit. Well, I don't need that item either. I'm out $120 because of their policy. I'd avoid these issues and just buy online. Real bummer, oh well. read more

They did not have the gun I wanted in stock in Utah. Their web site showed it available on line. I ordered the gun on line on January 13th 2025. They sent me an email with an anticipate deliver to the store location I choose for January 27th, 2025. As of today, the gun (Located in Bend Oregon) has not been shipped. They best their customer service people can tell me is my order is being process. The gun is still at the store in Bend Oregon with no pick up date. Today they told me it could be another week or two before it is picked up and to allow at least two weeks for shipping. I asked if I could pay for expedited shipping and was told they cannot do that on guns. It has been two weeks with no real progress and they tell me it could be another two to three weeks. Wow! I am not impressed with Sportsman's Warehouse on line service. read more

Good - Doing a google search I found a tripod that I was interested in advertised on the Sportsman's Warehouse web site. The tripod was on sale so the price was much better than other places I had searched so I made the purchase. Bad - that was the end of my good experience! A few days after making the order I checked back to see if there was a status update only to find that the status was now "Delayed" with no other explanation. I e-mailed Sportsman's to get further information and their response stated that their system was still looking for one of the tripods and if it could not be found the system would cancel the order on the "6th day". I then contacted the manufacturer of the tripod, that is located in Utah, to inquire on their inventory and was told they have the tripod in stock. After finding this out I called Sportsman's customer service to let them know the manufacturer had stock of the tripod and asked if they would be looking at this to fulfill my order. The rep I was speaking to could not answer so I asked to speak to a manager. I was put on hold and then the same rep came back on the phone and told me that it appears that their website allowed the purchase of more tripods than they had in their inventory so it was likely my order would not be filled. No answer as to why they would not acquire more at the manufacturer to fulfil the orders made. I told the rep to cancel my order now so I could move on with my search for the tripod I am looking for. read more

I visited your store in Eureka twice in the last week. I purchased the following items on 6/28: Goal Zero power battery, phone cord for the battery, jet boil propane, and a Jet Boil MiniMo. When I purchased the items, the cashier told me that I could return any of the items in 30 days with the original packaging and the receipt. So, yesterday 7/5, I went in the return the items and was denied by the manager and the cashier a refund. I left the items and the receipt there at the store because I couldn't take them on a plane and I didn't have time to sit there and argue with her. I called today and made a formal complaint with the customer service and a formal complaint with the corporate office in regards to informing your cashiers of the actual return policy of Sportman's warehouse, which is no returns on stoves or broken items, which should of been informed to me when I bought it. read more

New to town and stopped in here to check out the place and also needed a small bottle of propane for my BBQ starter. I was quite surprised at the wide variety of products they carried and didn't have any trouble at all finding what I needed. The staff was courteous and helpful and efficient to boot. I'll definitely be returning after eyeballing some of their deli meat slicers and sausage stuffers. read more

Welcome to Eureka Sportsman's!! You are much needed in Nor Cal. There is a huge variety of things in this store but what I come for are the specialized camping items that are hard to find such as repair kits, leatherman, white gas for my camp stove or canisters for my jet boil. They also have pie irons that are reasonably priced. I bought a Bocce ball set as well as some other beach toys. Great place to buy gifts for the outdoorsy type. The staff is super helpful and friendly. They don't pressure you and are happy to educate you on the different brands and styles. read more

Great place if you just trying to hang out and not get any service. Was just in there for 40 minutes looking at different tactical knives to purchase. Every employee I made contact with and tried to wave to, would turn around and walk away. I finally went to the back and waited my turn for service, the two employees avoided eye contact and helped other people after me in the queue. I understand you guys are understaffed, but for #### sake, work on your customer service. I'll be buying my products online or supporting another business. Do not buy guns here! After the waiting period I came all the way out from Orleans to get my gun, took a day off work, and they had given my gun to someone else with my same last name and now I have to wait another 10 days to get a new one. The refund they gave me does not cover me losing a day off work or gas. Unprofessional. Waste of time. Avoid this place and go to a small business instead. read more

Alley pup loves it here, everything you need for the great outdoors and friendly staff. She got a waterproof light, a new toy, a lite and some flies for fly fishing. My husband and I went in here to spend a gift card that he had won. I'm always a fan of places that allow dogs, and was excited to bring mine. They had a great selection of dog treats and toys, all very reasonably priced. There were a ton of markdowns and we were able to snag some deeply discounted items. My favorite finds were a grey car hart beanie and a grey ear warmer headband. This particular visit to the warehouse was in August of 2020, while our county is under a mask mandate due to COVID-19. I was a little uncomfortable to see associates in the store with their masks down on their chins, mouths and noses exposed while they chatted with each other two feet from each other folding clothing. I was alarmed to see 2-3 customers inside the store without any masks on at all, so it should be noted that during this mandate, the warehouse doesn't seem to require their associates to wear masks properly nor their customers to wear masks at all. read more

Sales associates are in dire need of more training and seem to lack basic customer service skills. We had a cart of items and after watching the first customer in front of us leave the register due to the length of time she stood waiting at the unmanned register, we waited patiently while watching the front associate chatting and laughing with a coworker at the customer service Dept. I made eye contact with the front associate and she looked straight back at me and continued ignoring us. Left our cart at the register and walked out. If your busy at least tell us you'll be there in a moment but to simply ignore us is rude and unprofessional. Lost out on 2 customers in only a matter of minutes. My Husband and I stopped in to purchase a SDHC card for one of our Trail cameras . After finding 2 associates at the electronics counter they showed us where they were and then walked away from us ... I was flabbergasted , They went to a display and started stocking it ... I called over to tell them we were ready , and apparently the trainee came over to tell us he would find someone to help us ... Another employee walked by in a green vest and the trainee mentioned we needed help . He looked over at us ,and then walked away headed to the Customer service window ... I called out loudly (I am pissed by this time as we had been waiting 10 minutes so far ) " Is there anybody in this store to help us " After getting no response from anyone within view or earshot ... Went to purchase my first firearm here and was treated poorly by a staff member at the gun counter. They treated me like a ditz and talked down to me, I presume being female and alone making my purchase. My associate was great until his manager (or what it looked like) came over assuming I didn't have my valid ID's and proof of residence and took a good 2 minutes being skeptical of my transaction. When I went to take the safety test the same manager hovered over the associate grading it... which I only missed one regarding the sale transfer of them. The manager snatched my test and went on to read the question and go on explaining how I got it wrong to the whole counter, when nobody else taking the test (males who got multiple wrong) had anything said to them in this visit and my prior visits at Sportsman's looking at the selection there. The associate replied with "She only missed one... way better than the majority of people who take this test" and he was still treating me like a ditz. Lastly when I got my certificate, the manager made sure to stress he was the "ONLY person in the world" to have access to reprint my certificate if needed. My god. Store is well stocked and reasonably priced for all varieties of outdoor gear. Camping equipment, firearms, ammunition, hiking shoes, etc. Plenty of stuff to see and try. The staff that work here are all awesome and welcoming. I am always greeted and asked what I need help with. I haven't met anyone there in a sour mood, they are all very well educated on the equipment they are selling. Their service plan for firearms purchased through them is pretty neat. $40 for 1 year, $60 for three years. The first package includes 2 gun cleanings, bore sighting and scope mounting, free warranty claim shipping. The second package upgrades you to 6 gun cleanings over 3 years. read more

The Sportsman's Warehouse team here in Eureka is GREAT. I have purchased several products from them in the past and have received nothing but incredible customer service (so much so that I felt compelled to finally write this review). This past weekend my boyfriend decided to purchase an archery bow. After a lot of online research, we went in so he could buy the one he had in mind. What I thought couldn't take more than an hour ended up taking five hours. FIVE. And the worst part is I enjoyed myself the entire time we were there. Initially we spoke with the department head, Neil, who provided a considerable amount of information regarding features of the bows they had in stock and the bows they could order, as well as his personal (re:experienced) opinion of the bow my boyfriend was set on buying when he walked into the store. He offered to fit my boyfriend and let him try out several bows to weigh his options and see what he liked best. Throughout the entire time he was incredibly personable and friendly (despite the fact that my boyfriend was very indecisive). After adjusting multiple bows and working with him on form for a few hours he asked if I wanted to try shooting a few. I had already been there long enough so I said okay and he literally gave me a complete beginners guide archery lesson-entirely free of charge. Neil was attentive and not a pushy salesman in the least bit. Fast forward another few hours (how?) and we left the store each with our own bows and arrows he had custom set for us.
