Purchased a Crosman Air Rifle. Yes it clearly stated that it was not a returnable item 'for the safety of our customers'. Well, I am a customer... or was. Followed all directions but when attempting to fire the gun, 5 out of 6 pellets would jam. I don't consider this a safe weapon right from the factory. This should not be sold and the manufacture should be notified. Sportsman's Warehouse carries inferior and therefore dangerous weapons, and they don't care. No, they wouldn't refund or even take it back to be destroyed ...because now I have to deal with Crosman directly. I recently ordered some arrows to be delivered from this location. I am not sure if they shipped from this locale and they slapped on a Utah label, or if they actually shipped from Utah. Due to the fact that they shipped in one or two days, I am guessing the former. So I get these arrows in a package wrapped in a trash bag. When I get the trash bag with the box inside of it (an open window box, btw), the trash bag is melted, the package is smashed and open. I sent an email to the Sportsman's Warehouse email address that was included in the email they sent me about my order. Nothing. Four days later I called them. I was on the phone for 20 minutes while the person on the other end questioned why oh why I would want to return these arrows. She stated "So you are not satisfied with the product that was shipped to you, right?" I'm like... well no, I'm not satisfied, they came to me in melted, smashed and opened packaging! She seems completely lost on why that was a problem. Finally, they sent me an email to respond to for me to send pics. After they received the pics, they wrote me back that they were "sorry that you are not satisfied with the product" and told me to return the arrows with a UPS label that will be sent to me and to return them in "resalable condition in the original packaging". Of course I CANNOT RETURN THEM IN RESALABLE CONDITION OR IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING!!!!! My God, these people are idiots. I have never EVER had to jump through so many hoops to return something. And the email about returning it didn't say a damn thing about my refund!!! Sh--ty customer service! I am done done SO DONE with Sportsman's Warehouse! Unbelievable! read more

PLEASE don't order from these people, go somewhere that cares about the customer Experience. They say orders take 4-5 business days to ship and on the 6th business day mind you they send me a notification that the order may not be fulfilled and have to wait 6 more days for them to locate an item in another warehouse or it will be cancelled. Something that should be done in the first 4-5 days if the item is supposed to be shipped by then no? I needed this item for a specific day and did not need these games being played with my time and money. Now it'll take 7 business days for them to return the money so I cannot even buy another item in time for what I needed. my order from Sezzle was cancelled due to them taking too long to fulfill the order and am going to need to pay another $400 while I wait for my other $400 refund to clear the bank in 7 business days. I wasted two hundred dollars in a class I will not be able to go to because of this. i wanted to go somewhere reputable and thought it was gonna be a easy transaction... no. false advertisement on their website of availability and wasting two weeks of my time just to tell me they might not have it anywhere in the United States. Why have it posted and make people jump through hoops Just to hold their money for a week. Safe to say I will forever tell my family and friends to never order from sportmans again for the rest of my life. I used to like this company. I've been trying to call and their phone is unavailable! This place of business is by far the worst I have dealt with. I have been DISCRIMINATED against for being a female that is how I felt when dealing with the associated that "helped" me. My husband and I had been shopping for a gun online and at our local gun stores. This would be my first gun purchase which is a big DEAL. My husband works out of town so I wanted my own for protection and with practice I would become comfortable and familiar with it. So after looking around I had decided on 2 which we stopped at Sportsman to look at them both and I had my heart set on one and I knew which one I wanted. Not only did I want this particular gun for the way it looked but the price was right. From the get go the associate that helped us was VILE. We asked him to see the guns and he handed them to us I asked him on the price which he did give me however because we had been shopping online we knew that it was on sale so we asked him to check and indeed it was. So he asked myself and my husband for our ID's which was not a problem my husband has bought guns from this location in the past. He said he would do a background check and so on. So he came back and had me answer some questions and told me it would take about 30 mins to hang out in the store and if I left that my paperwork would be canceled. We waited in the store for about 5 mins then he called my name through the intercom. As we approached him he proceeded to tell me that he was going to refuse the sale because he felt uncomfortable due to the fact that I didn't engaging in a conversation with him when he asked me why I picked that specific gun. Mind you he wasn't friendly from the get go. I felt crushed. I get it and understand buying a gun is a very serious purchase especially in the time we live in we can't never be to careful, I also know that he can refuse service to anyone. Yet I was compliant, this would have been my first gun and it upset me that I am expected to be a professional to purchase one. It was very SEXIST, DISCRIMINATING and he made me feel really stupid. Sportsman's Warehouse - Called 30 times and their phone is unavailable! Horrible way to conduct business. - Hunting & Fishing Supplies Near Me - Las Cruces, New Mexico

The absolute worst customer services, in store and phone. We had a 7 day waiting period, that was found unconstitutional on tuesday, as of friday the 22nd New Mexico residents are still not allowed to purchase and walk out with it after the purchase. One customer rep in store said they are not honering the 10th courts decision. Called customer service at HQ in utah, first rep (monica) hung up upon my question as to when hq is going to notify the stores that the law was overturned and allow customers to walk out with firearm after back ground check is complete and payment is made. The next attempt i asked the very same question, this time i was put on hold for over 5 minutes and then told i have to wait at least 2 weeks before policy would change. I then informed her that under the last administration the store honered the unconstitutional law as soon as the lady in Sante Fe signed the law but under this administration we are being forced to wait upto 3 weeks after the law was struck down. read more

I'm a decade long customer and have spent a lot of money here. I've always had a good experience, except for today...Today, I went to buy ammo that was on sale. The website says "mix and match", "buy more than 10 boxes and get 10% off". I bought 12 boxes. I noticed on my receipt that the 10% discount wasn't honored, so I asked the store manager to fix it. He refused and even said if I didn't agree or like it, I could return the merchandise for full refund. What in the world type of customer service have I happened upon? The store manager himself would rather lose the sale than make the customer happy. I kept referring them to the black and white text on the website, but they simply didn't have any interest in looking. Don't do business here, the store manager himself lacks basic customer service skills. I suspect financial hardship and failure at this location. read more

This is not really the fault of the Las Cruces sportman's warehouse this has to do with the gunsmith service they offer. So months ago I contacted the gunsmith to make sure we had the correct brake. we discussed it they knew when I needed the gun. They told me it was done more than a week ago then yesterday they asked about paying WHY IN THE FK DIDN'T THEY ask me last week??????? They had told me they ship with their standard truck shipment so I think a couple of days HELL NO they send fed ex takes "maybe a week" I am fkd for a job I could have done a week after I wanted it done. read more

Came in to make a major purchase and confirmed we could look up my account to do so. When the time came, sportsman's came up with an error. Spoke with the "manager Bonnie" who said that they didn't have anything to do with an error on the bank side. So I called the bank while there and they confirmed No issues or restrictions with the account. "Bonnie" had no solutions or any favorable response, she just shook her head and said ok"...and I left the store. Highly unprofessional and not solution oriented for the customer to figure out what is clearly an issue on their end. read more

What is this mythical place that sucked up my husband for about an hour and a half? Only the most Southwest outdoors geared store I've ever been to in the area (although the small salt water taffy section reminded me of the Midwest). We go to Las Cruces from El Paso pretty regularly, but I guess we don't hit the highway this way as much because we didn't notice Sportsman's Warehouse until I sent my husband on a wild goose-chase for LC chocolates. To sum up everything I'm about to tell you, if you're into any type of outdoor activities in the Southwest, make this your first stop. In the LC/EP area, big outdoor chains have been popping up like jack rabbits in the desert. SW is a chain, but I think they're more known for being in California and around there so it's nice to see them in little ol' Las Cruces, NM. What I liked the most was the fact there seemed to be a heavier focus on what equipment might be needed in this desert area. They have fishing equipment, hunting gear, guns, ammo, camping equipment, clothes, boots, grills, smokers, and more. They carry a lot of well known brands too so you might be surprised by what you find (like the Under Armour army boots that the Under Armour on Fort Bliss doesn't sell). SW is a good sized store and they really pack it all in there while keeping it organized. Everything was priced clearly and nothing was racked wrong which is no easy feat considering every isle we went down had a handful of people. The camping gear was actually one of the best selections I've seen in the area and it was all together. The staff that we interacted were all quick and helpful when needed. I did find it weird that they only had one register open (and it was the one at the customer service area) for the store so there was a line and it didn't move as quickly as a normal register would because there were also people in the line for other reasons. On the plus side... if I remember correctly, they do offer a military discount though. read more

Pretty awesome, fairly new establishment. Just the kind of spot this area could use. I dare to say it can even compare to that of a Bass Pro Shop, but more generic and significantly smaller. Though we have not bought anything big except for some ammo here and there, my husband who is more avid for this subject, says that the ammo and weapon prices are considerably the same elsewhere. I can at least vouch for the presentation of the whole area which is superb. Very clean, professional, and set up just right to catch our attention enough to want to stop here just for kicks every time we come back from ABQ, ToC/Elephante Butte or before we leave Las Cruces. Membership is free. Excellent customer service here too. Constantly have employees walking thru and asking if we need help. Great selection for kids too! read more

I'm from San Antonio, Texas, where we used to have a Sportsman's Warehouse, but unfortunately they closed down. So whenever I make it to New Mexico, I have to stop and stock up on the things I can't find locally. Had several associates ask if I needed help and had a nice conversation with them. When I checked out they were calling for cashier backup, but the cashier was very nice, pleasant and friendly. If you live in the El Paso/Las Cruces area, and you like guns, fishing and hunting then you are really lucky as we have a better than average Sportsman's Warehouse in Las Cruces and a pretty decent Cabelas store in NW El Paso. I personally prefer the Sportsmans, Cabelas is the smaller sized outpost store, and it is a little bigger and they have a larger selection of footwear. Beyond that Sportsmans has better prices on hard line items, better guns and more ammo. The staff at Sportsmans is 100% better, I have spent hours staring through $3500 rifle scope only to tell the associate that I can buy it through my military discount and I just wanted to fingerbang it in their store to make sure I was ordering the scope I wanted. They were nice enough to allow me to do that, and I bought $200 worth of ammo when I was done. Both offer a 5% military discount, and can cater to most outdoor needs. I wanted an Eberlestock backpack, specifically the big mouth J117 and of course they had the Eberlestock elk pack. So at least I got to see how the pack would fit if I ordered it from someone else. I buy a lot of stuff at Sportsmans, because it is 22 miles from my house and the prices are cheap enough that with my military discount it works out. The entire family has bought shoes there, and I think this is one of the real benefits. read more

If you want cheap gear, go to Dick's. If you want high quality hunting, fishing, outdoor products then Sportsman's Warehouse is your place. I was happy with the selection of gear and prices but I was dissatisfied with the service. When we walked in, the store was practically empty so I was definitely confused when we couldn't find anyone to help us in the fishing department. I finally walked up to customer service where I found three people standing around chatting. I asked for help and the gentleman who helped us was very knowledgeable. Took a while for them to spool our gear too, I wouldn't have expected such a long wait with such an empty store. Two girls are customer service desk were not friendly read more
