The selection has not changed dramatically, but the service has been poor. Most of the emphasis now seems to be on trading cards. On my last two visits it was difficult to get the cashier to stop their in-depth conversation about the new Magic: The Gathering cards for a moment to ring me up. Still, it is the only place in town, to my knowledge, with a decent selection of graphic novels.

The selection of paintball guns and accessories is really good. Tippmann is what they specialize in and you won't find any Spyder stuff here. Sorry!!! However, the most important thing is the customer service. The staff is really knowledgeable about what to buy and how to fix things. They set me up with a sweet setup and i was hooked. They always have fresh paint at affordable prices and they do C02 refills. So overall this is by far the best place to go in Las Cruces for paintball equipment if your new and want to get into the sport. Don't forget to ask about where people play during the weekend to get in on some desert action.

I quickly found out that this is a good place to get dealer level service without the dealer level prices. I take two of my three bikes here. The other one is under warranty, hence taking it somewhere else. The point is, Southwest Wheeln makes you feel like a valued member of their family'. Pretty bad attitude, and it looks like they don't really want to make any money since they are driving away potential customers like that. Austin's associate (José) was attentive and professional and assured me that my ring would be well taken care of and returned to me in perfect condition as I was understandably a little nervous about leaving my ring to get resized by a jeweler other than the original jeweler. Austin's did a wonderful job; my ring was returned in perfect condition and now fits perfectly. I also received my ring back within a reasonable time frame (only 5 days) as I was also concerned that I might have to leave my ring there for 10-14 days. I can't recommend Austin's highly enough. They also seem to have a beautiful selection of unique jewelry, if you're looking for something more than a ring resize.

I take a photo of what it looks like when I drop it off. I am not paranoid. I am just VERY careful about my jewelry because so much of it is heirloom items. My class ring got all bent up and had to be resized. Inside the ring is my name and I did not want to lose that. I explained all this to them. They don't just buy stuff and stock it in the store. I saw one customer picking up a belt that had been repaired and another who'd purchased jewelry but needed it to be adjusted. The guy kept taking it to the back and working on it and bringing it back to her until it fit as she like. I also was interested a bracelet that I couldn't fit and somehow he was able to heat and bend it into a shape so that I could. There was only one person working that day, the owners husband. He was so patient and made suggestions based on what he thought I would like and not just the highest priced item in the store. Also he knows how to back off and let you browse on your own but is always near if you have questions or need help.
