I have been waiting for my shotgun case for over 2 weeks now. After many phone calls and promises of return calls to get my case someone did what they said. Damon at the Provo store was sympathetic to my situation and said he would look into it and call me back. I honestly didn't expect to hear back so late on a Saturday. But, Damon came through and got the case attached to my order and called me back to let me know my order was ready to pick up. Props to Damon for representing Sportsman's Warehouse so well. Couple things. #1 I bought something and needed to return it. It went over the 30 days "unused", I was so busy I came back and returned it and after much hassle, they did it for in-store credit which is all I wanted anyways (which I was glad about). The manager didn't come and look at it. He was very curt over the in-store radio "NO", another associate poked her head over the balcony, asked what it was. I explained it again then over the radio, the manager said fine or words to that effect. #2 Then come to find out, the thousands I've spent there over the years using my phone number wasn't even collecting rewards! The cashier told me, then he fixed it, but it wasn't retroactive..... I chose to patronize a smaller sports store in our community, now I see how that goes. Scheels doesn't do this. Amazon doesn't do this. Even Dicks doesn't do this. No wonder big stores are taking over if this is how the smaller stores treat their customers. I don't return stuff often, but when I need to, I expect a store I've done a lot of business with to work with me. The manager or whoever it was over the radio leaves a lot to be desired. The people on the floor seem to be great... but you're only as good as your management. Lost a customer. read more

Each time I called there was a 1 hour hold time, finally after be hung up on twice, I finally got ahold of Tiffany at "Sportsmans Warehouse" who was extremely rude and had no empathy. She offered me -0- option's, and treated me like a lier. When I asked to speak to her supervisor she told me his name was GATOR and is not available to speak to me. WOW !! BUYER BEWARE !!!! The reason that so many store employees get bad reviews is because the turnover is very high and the pay is very low. You may get the best prices but you're going to pay for it with a lack of good customer service from employees. Why should they care? Most are only making $12 an hour. When are senators Lee and Romney going to get involved to raise the minimum wage in Utah. A minimum wage of $7.50 an hour is ridiculous in these times of higher prices. read more

Ordered a gift on 7/13 because it said the arrival date would be 7/17. On 7/14 I was sent a shipping update and a tracking number. I checked and it stated "label created" so I continued to check it daily and for the next 3 days it said the same thing. On the 17th (when it was suppose to arrive) I called and customer service checked and of course they got "label created" with a delivery date of 7/21. I checked today and same thing with a date of 7/22....very disappointing!!! I needed it for a birthday gift on the 18th. Had I know I would have just got it elsewhere. live and learn!!! read more

I really can't say that this Sportsman's Warehouse is any better than any other SW, but I can say that overall I'm a big fan. I've been to all the other, bigger outdoors stores (it's hard to think of Sportsman's as small, but comparatively, it sure is) and SW has got to be my favorite. Maybe it's just the stuff I'm selecting, but the prices are always better here for the stuff that I'm actually going to use, and buy frequently. There are several fishing lures I prefer, and they're always a buck or so less here. I frequently pick up a canister of fuel for my backpacking stove, and it's reasonably priced, Backpacking meals, always a good selection. Beyond that, it seems that they do a much better job of carrying products appropriate for our climate, for the landscape, for the species of fish or fowl or beast you might be looking for--it just feels like a local shop, but with big shop lower prices. Rarely do I find a product that's just silly to carry for Utah, but elsewhere I'm always finding that. Kudos to being a bigger place but keeping it local. Get your backpack, tent, gun, ammo, fishing pole, rods, reels, line, lures, clothes, smokers, meat grinders, boat supplies, flashlight, hydration bladder, Dutch oven, and a bajillion other things here. read more

There wasn't any problems with my return, but the way she speaks to people, so rude & unnecessary. I never leave reviews but my experience with this particular SW is horrific. I've tried to give this place a chance for years, as it's the closest sporting goods store to me, and at this point I'd drive hours to avoid it if I had to. Never have ANYTHING in stock, if you call they will put you on hold and then hang up, and the least helpful staff ever. I usually have a good experience at Sportsman's Warehouse, but every once in a while I'll run into a sales associate who, instead of simply answering questions about a product or sale, wants to argue instead. A month or so ago I went to the Provo store to buy some shirts. I had a question about the sale they were running that week, but the lady working in the clothing department seemed to just want to argue. Sportsman's warehouse has great product! However, in all my life i am yet to have a pleasant experience with their workers. Every time I come to this location, not only do the employees go out of their way to avoid me, but when I do run one of them down to ask a question, they have a very poor attitude and treat me as though I am a burden for expecting them to do their job by answering a simple question. I once asked an employee to try on a shoe and he said he would grab it for me. After waiting for him to grab it for 20 minutes I finally walked to the counter and found him and 2 other employees sitting behind the desk on their phones and they proceeded to give me dirty looks without saying anything. Customer service really sucks! Bought an item for 300 and when we got home it was broke, we called and had to take it back which the driver was 35 min, we drove it back next day they exchanged it but they did not help in anyway to recover the costs for the fuel to have to buy a new product which was broken. Ordered a case of 12 ga shotgun Hevi-shot shells for 45.72. supposedly 10 bxs of 10 rds ea box. All total cost was 54.35. Received 1 box of shells only. called them and they stated the ad was a bit deceiving. $4.57 a rd for a damn shotgun shell!!!! They said I could send them back and get a refund, but that's at my cost also! This is out and out lies and deceptive advertisement. I would recommend NOT buying anything from Gunnies on-line and their passive attitudes didn't seem to say much either. Ya, it's best to do your own research, and not ask for help while your there. It's either you get great service or crap service. Ya, avoid the customer service counter at all cost; worst service I have experienced in my recent memory. I was able to complete my exchange, after explaining my intention four times, and overcoming their interrogation tactics. Ya, it was just a different size, but same product. I will never shop at Sportsmans Warehouse again. I choose not to support a company that will not stand behind their product. I purchased a Coghlan folding shovel before a trip to the sand dunes. I used it once in sand and the hings caked so full of sand it will never fold smoothly again. I fought it for five min just to fold up so I could return it. Sportsmans will not take the refund due to the fact its been used and is not resell-able . I would be glad to keep it if it was in resell-able condition. Thats not why I want to return it! I told the clerk that next time I should have bought it from amazon, a place that supports their customers and the clerk agreed! I will not support Sportsmans again when there are better shops all around. I will drive further and spend more to support better companies. read more

I questioned my decision In going to Sportsman's Warehouse this morning in the first place. During the great pandemic of 2020 I was berated and belittled by an employee in the store who was yelling at me until I left. In the parking lot after I left the store a fellow customer approached me and commended me on the way I kept my composure. I made a decision that day to never return to Provo Sportsman's Warehouse. After thought I decided there was a lot of stress going on during the great pandemic of 2022. I decided not to let that one incident stop me from shopping there because instances like this were happening all over the country. This morning I went in with full intentions of making two purchases that would've been around $1800 total. Then the dark haired dude behind the counter starts questioning my intelligence about one of the purchases I'm about to make. Because I know they let their employees yell at customers I politely returned the object I had to him and walked out of the store before this escalated any further. I tried letting it go but I realized I needed to call management and let them know. I called in and they had no care nor concern for what went on. I will gladly never shop at any Sportsmans Warehouse location again. read more

I had a gun transferred over from one of their other locations. When I went into purchase the gun I presented them with my ccw permit and my utah DL. Both have old addresses on them but are updated in the states systems. I have my new address printed with a label maker on the back of my ccw just like the department of public safety said to. I have bought multiple guns from different stores, including Cabelas (the most frustrating store to buy a gun... so I thought). I have never had a problem with my ccw the way it is, the same goes for my father and my friends who have old addresses on their ccw. Any ways I hand over my ccw and DL and he says do you have anything with your current address on it. I said no I'm in between houses right now but it's all updated online. He said store policy is you need something official with your current address on it. I said that's BS cause a few months ago my dad bought a gun from this store and his ids look the same as mine. He said who ever sold him the gun should be fired for breaking policy. I didn't have anything with my current address printed on so he said I could go to the dmv and have them reprint my license for 25 bucks or buy a fishing license which would have my current address printed on it. I told him I'm not paying to have my DL changed when I'm moving into our new house in a month and would have another old address on my Dl. And I already have a combo license at home so I'm not buying another damn fishing license. He told me he couldn't sell me the gun. So I drove an hr and some change home to get my combo license and an hr and some change back. I ended up having to drive 5 hrs that day to buy the gun and wasn't able to meet with my buddies to shoot because I spent all day driving. All because they have a store policy that is unnecessary and one that it seems only a couple people tend to follow. It makes no sense when you are doin exactly what the government has told you to do. This whole experience has made Cabelas look more appealing to work with. But sportsmans did have the gun I wanted when no one else did. Long story short, make sure if your current address isn't officially printed on your ccw or DL you will need a fishing license to buy your gun. It's bull, go to Gunnies in Orem if they have your gun in stock. read more

I have been shopping at the Provo store for years and years. Today I went in and saw that EVERY one of their employees were not wearing a mask while the majority of the clients (including myself who is 63 with underlying conditions) WERE! What a slap on the face. I approached the gun counter and asked if that was a "policy" imposed by the manager and was told "no it's just our choice". So I explained that unless I am wearing an N95 mask I would surely be infected by a gun counter employee who is asymptomatic and spewing virus in his breath 2 feet away. The answer? I visited Sportsman's Warehouse on Sept. 9th of this year, and I left disappointed. I have been in search of a decent game cart for sometime, and when I found one, I jumped on it. Well, that is my error as I found that I mistook Sportsman's Guide for Sportsman's Warehouse. However.... ...that certainly by no means justify the difficulty I had in (1) locating the game cart (in such a small store); and (2) accessing the game carts to see which suits me, as they were clearly inaccessable, and no employee would try to help me with that problem. Listen, I have physical impairments, ok? I brought that to the attention of the employees I asked help from, ok? But it was like pulling teeth trying to get someone to help, and when I found someone, he made it clear he didn't like it. Pardon me, but..."wah". I had already driven several hours JUST to shop there. Ever hear of ADA? Assholes.... This is the e-mail I sent them.... Didn't anyone teach your clerks about helping a customer when asked for help? Check your cameras on 9/9 of his year. I'm the short fat guy with a mohawk. How many people did I ask for help? How many actually helped? Compare the numbers. Now, ask yourself if you have ever been educated on the damn ADA or not. Do you prefer I come in with copies of my medical records so I can get help? What the hell happened here that you don't want me as a customer? Not enough money spent? Screw that, you're not gonna get any more of my money. Do you prefer making sure my impairments are legitimate? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE???? The store is amazing! Reminded me of a little Bass Pro shop. Great selection of stuff and most of the staff was pretty darn friendly. They had everything and anything you would need to go fishing, hunting, camping, grilling, etc. Now with that said, the only thing that left a sour taste in my mouth was this ONE employee in the ammo department. Chubby bald guy is what I will call him. I asked for 12 gauge ammo, glock 40 ammo and when I asked for .22 ammo he says, " that don't exist around here" in a shitty tone like I'm supposed to know this. So as he's showing me 12 gauge ammo because I couldn't find SLUGS I nicely asked again. I say thanks for showing me the SLUG section can I also get some .22 ammo. He said "I told you it doesn't exist around here" and I stop and say " dude what do you mean? I buy .22 ammo all the time back at home (California). I was completely confused thinking this guy was a special ed worker or something. Maybe he didn't know. But then he went on to explain that they sell out the moment it comes in and that they have lines wrapped around the building of people trying to buy it. Really? Is this true? Are they the only store in the state of Utah that sells ammo or wtf? Besides that I was just pissed because all he could of said was " hey, we sell out of .22 as fast as comes in " he didn't have to be a douche and be like " that don't exist here ". Just a douche.
