Spreckels Park Dental overall is very ,"meh." The front of the house staff needs some work. They aren't the friendliest tbh. I have had more than one appointment canceled by them with little to no urgency to get me rebooked. The hygienists are the saving grace. They have always been very friendly and have great patient-side manner. The doctors seem like they are always overbooked so they always appear to be a little preoccupied when they are at your side. I would say Spreckels Park Dental is better than a large chain dentist office, but is lacking when compared to smaller, local private offices. I recently switched to another doctor and my overall experience has been much better. I will not be returning to Spreckels Park Dental. read more

I had an implant done here a few years ago and have been having problems with it. I moved so now I have a different dentist and the new dentist office called Spreckles Dental to try and get the brand of implant done and they were told that my Dental file is in storage and that they cant access the brand of implant? They were also told that it was a Hiossen brand which is very uncommon and my new dentist tried ordering a part for it but when I went in to my current dentist fir a fitting it didnt fit the post that they used. I tried calling myself but they give me the run around and never get an answer. it worries me that they used a cheap of brand post that no one has heard of. If you plan on getting an implant do yourself a favor and have them give you the brand of the post that they will be installing. Better yet go somewhere else. read more

You ever go somewhere and feel like you can't trust the people there? That's the feeling that comes over me everytime I step foot here. My very first visit was 2 years ago with a female dr. She was so very kind and pleasant. She went through my check up and told me I had an old filling that needed to be done over. Even though I wasn't having Any issues with my teeth and was only there for a check up and cleaning I trusted her professional opinion and agreed to do it. No sooner did I go home, I began having increased pain and sensitivity in the tooth she just worked on. I called and was told to give it time. 2 weeks later I could no longer eat on that side of my mouth and asked to be seen. They set me up with Dr. Parikh who was fantastic and when I explained to him what happened, he said to me "there was no reason why she should have done this." He said the nerve was now too close to the filling and I would need to have a root canal. I have never lost a tooth before and bc of the female dr I now didn't have a choice and had to come out of pocket $1300. Needless to say I was very upset. I continued to see Dr. Parikh from that point on. Came back 6mo after my root canal for another cleaning and was suddenly told that my insurance no longer allows for a full teeth cleaning in one session. I knew they had to be joking but again I trusted them instead of just calling my dental insurance to confirm this myself as I was already in the dentists chair. They literally only cleaned one half side of my mouth and told me to make an appointment to come back the following week for my other half to be cleaned. I knew they had to just be using up all my insurance coverage to get paid double bc when I went back the following yr there was no mention of needing to do this again. Fast forward to Dec 2023. I make an appt with who I thought was going to be Dr.Parikh, but that female dr shows up again. Again, super sweet and nice and she tried to make conversation with me but I asked her where Dr. Parikh was and she said I was scheduled to see her. She kindly asked if I wanted to reschedule to see him but again I agreed to allow her to do a check up and cleaning. After she checked my mouth she left and the techs quoted me $650 for a crown which wasn't explained to me why I needed one, and fillings. The tech kept pushing me on this even though I told her I'm not paying. She then proceeded to ask if I wanted to take out credit to pay and I said no. I'm sure this is a coincidence, but now after my visit I am starting to have pain in another tooth. It's interesting how both times I have let her work on my mouth that I have had to return due to pain. I hate to put this out there, but I really hope they aren't messing with people's mouths to get them to return so they can get more $$... read more

Would give minus if I could! This place has been going downhill for a while now and the main culprit is staff shortage as they are balancing their staff between two different offices. I had 2 previous appointments cancelled alone this year (bearing in mind it's January 2023 still) due to staff shortage. I was informed of the cancellations when I actually went to the office in person. Today took the cake. You're suppose to have 1 teeth X-Ray appointment a year and the Dr. Insisted I had one before I had my teeth cleaning done. I had already confirmed with office staff who had rescheduled my appointment that I did not need X-Rays as I had already had one within a year. When the Dr. Refused service and said he wouldn't do the cleaning without the exams I left. This is the last time I will be coming back to this business. I had been a customer since 2015 and as I'm a loyal customer gave them chance after chance but the service has continued to deteriorate over the years and there comes a time when you have to give up on a place. This business is more interested in making money than servicing their customers. read more

He is such a perfectionist and he won't let you leave his office until everything is as perfect as it can be. I recently cracked my molar tooth, and the pain was causing egregious discomfort throughout most of my face. The doctor was able to see me same day and understood exactly what needed to be done. She only viewed the "problem area" and scheduled my extraction, which was exactly what I wanted before getting into the rest of my dental needs. She saw to it that I was comfortable from start to finish and provided information for every step of the process. The front desk and dental assistants were all incredibly friendly and helpful, reinforcing my decision to come here. A quaint office and a knowledgeable staff definitely helped ease my mind about having the procedure. Long story short, I was treated VERY rudely by "the dentist " she was rolling her eyes at me while she was poking the place where my FILLING came out, and asking does this hurt!! Yes it hurt!! Then I said wait I just want to know how much for the FILLING!! She stormed away leaving me laying down while she went to another patient!! She never came back to talk to me!! In the past, I have never had a good experience seeing a dentist. That all changed when I went to Speckels Park Dental. Brenda the receptionist was very friendly and walked me through all the paperwork. Monica took my exams and was efficient and very friendly. Dr. Kathrotiya made me feel so at ease and answered all my questions with a very caring manner. Dr. Kathrotiya and his Assistant Kassidy were excellent. I will never go to this place again, and wish I would have never in the first place. My 2 children (age 7 & 9) were told by a general dentist that they needed braces. I had mixed feelings about this due to their young age, and I wanted a second opinion. In our local paper Spreckles Park Dental had a coupon for a FREEEE orthodontic consultation. I called and made appointments, and told them I wanted to utilize the coupons. We went to our appt as scheduled, presented the coupons. The orthodontist gave me his opinion that he felt only one of the children were in immediate need of orthodontics at the time. At this time I was sent into a tiny office with a computer, and their billing guy. He gave me printouts of cost for treatment, what my insurance would cover, etc. At this time I tell him the kids father and I are divorced, so I'd need a few days to go over the specifics with him and that "I" would call him back regarding starting treatment once we had time to go over everything and consider the financial aspect. He asked immediately if HE could call ME the next day. I said no please don't, I have to work. I promise I will call either way once their dad and I talk. I cannot make decision without his approval anyways. The next morning I am at work, my phone begins ringing off the hook and guess who it is???? Yep! He is already calling less than 24 hours later to see if I want to start treatment. Let the excessive pressure calling begin. This place called me multiple times PER DAY over the next MONTH from multiple phone numbers trying to pressure us into starting ortho treatment with them. This is where it gets good. A month later they even start calling the emergency contact I had listed on our paperwork. Day in and day out like they did my phone. On their last message they stated they needed insurance info so they could send in a claim from my visit. I became infuriated because if you remember above, I used coupons for free consultation. Now over a month later they want to send a bill because they are mad we didn't go with them for the treatment. I talked to the billing guy who had NO CLUE what was going on and told me he'd resolve this. I told him that no bill better be sent, and that was the end of convo. I truly feel that this is not the end of the ordeal though. Please save yourself the trouble and annoyances and do not go to this money hungry, crooked, and dishonest establishment. read more

These guys are completely money minded. They wanted to do Xray for kids regardless if they visit the facility.. The doctor do not want to know why we took an appoinment, instead as soon as we denied to sign a paper of 'xray and clean', he called us inside and stated if not taking xray, he cannot check and we can leave, So we did walk out (wasted our time).. Dear Doctor, Please note that.. "Children are more sensitive to radiation exposure than adults, so the cancer risk per unit dose of x-radiation is higher for children than it is for adults" Xray should be only taken if its really needed, Xrays for kids should be considered only every 12 to 24 months.. Parents should leave that option for emergency situation, not in a situation of general dental concerns.. Dentist can visually inspect teeth and see decay. Or they can tap on a tooth to see if it's painful... Then suggest XRAY, instead of giving patients two options to take Xray or Leave.. Please understood why they are visiting your facility... Besides, Not appreciating the answer you gave to me while asked "Isn't xray bad for kids", your comments were " i did xray for many kids and they all are still alive".. As a doctor you should not give those replies.. the front desk peoples are great. read more

Spreckels Park Dental is a good dental clinic in the medical sense. The office manager on the other hand is horrible. While still sitting in the dental chair, pretty much trapped, she tried to strong-arm me, into signing a form authorizing over $5000 for 2 root canals and 2 crowns. After repeatedly telling her that I don't even have close to that amount, she got really pushy, and almost agressive. Had to elbow my way out of there. I switched doctors and Spreckels Park would not give me my x-rays that I paid for. They are a huge scam...BEWARE!!!! read more

I DROVE FROM SAN JOSE TO SEE DR. RUJUL PARIKH OF SPRECKELS PARK DENTAL three years ago first and have been there ever since and I was always scared of anything to be done to my teeth. Prior to seeing Dr. Rujul Parikh, three years ago. I only been to the dentist once; 8 years prior to 3 years ago, AND THAT DENTIST 8 YEARS AGO SCARED THE SH.......TT OUT OF ME....So I never went back to a destist again. One of my uncle's from Lodi, CA knew my teeth were hurting & how bad they were getting and AND MOST IMPORTANTLY he knew how scared I was of a Dentist. he told me; If I trusted him(WHICH I DID), I will trust Dr. Rujul Parikh to work on my teeth. This past Thursday, three years after my first visit, Dr. Parikh and the staff still give the same awasome service as my first visit. He was very careful and very professonal, My fears of a dentist I think are gone or going away. Dentists tend to really have a "bad rep" -- "Ouch", etc! But let me tell you, Dr. Rupal and his dental support team was beyond good and caring and worked together like a "well-oiled" machine! They were amazing, from Reception (Ashley), Dental Asst, Dental Tech, Miss Debbie (Office Mgr) to Doctor! And on the ouch factor --what "ouch factor"? I had a "root canal" and people always say how painful, and you'll need Vicadin. I received a prescription for Ibuprofen. When I got home, I took "One", and the next day, I didn't have to take anymore -- NO PAIN! This doctor was good and caring! From the moment I arrived I knew I was in good hands, but I've never went to a "Painless Dentist" before -- have you? I couldn't believe it! My smile is so pretty and I'm so grateful to the entire team! Thank you...I told my Hubby and he'll be coming in soon as well. Our insurance paid for the X-rays, cleaning, etc....all the "preventative work". My only out of pocket wasn't the root canal, just the crown. First time patient at Spreckels Park Dental. During my visit, I was somewhat greeted by a rude, middle aged woman with glasses. I tend to second guess myself if I think someone is rude, however, my mother stated the same thing about her. My teeth cleaning was scheduled for 11:30am, I wasn't seen until 12:00pm, and didn't leave the office until 1:50pm. The entire process was unnecessarily long.. Waited, took x-rays, waited, took x-rays again, waited, reviewed x-rays, waited, dentist looked at teeth, waited, teeth cleaning, etc. Jorge (dental tech) was awesome -- very personable and answered all questions/concerns I had. The female dentist (I don't recall her name, unfortunately) was very polite, professional, and efficient. The female dental tech (I don't recall her name either) was also very friendly and efficient. At the end of my service, I was provided with a goody bag (tooth brush, tooth paste, floss, etc.) and a week's supply of whitening strips. Would I come back? I believe so, yes. worst dentist in Manteca !! Scam artist ! Told me they were giving me a one time promotional deal to clean my teeth and do a filling , left work early only to find out insurance wasn't covering it .. Also had a root canal done here told me it would cost 700$ I paid the 700$ and they grounded my tooth down to a stump and said it was another 700$ to put the cap on .. was not told they were going to do this and charge me twice . The staff is very friendly. However, previous comments regarding money hunger issues are true. I found myself just wanting a bridge fixed and ended up paying over 4000.00 for a bridge. I am stilling waiting over 3 months for a refund that my insurance paid and they told me they didn't. Finally they found it, but I still have not been paid yet. I of course had to go back multiple times for them to fix it. my son had a worse experience than me and is out 11000. with a mouth full of pain and missing teeth that will cost him a fortune to fix. this guy should be shut down. There are standards of good medical practices that are questionable, Do not go. I found out I paid over 2000.more than I should have and my son paid over 6000. more and made the problem worse. I also am considering getting my braces here and I have not had any problems with the staff at all. They have actually been very helpful and informative through the whole process, especially with the billing. I would recommend this office to anyone. DO NOT Take your elderly parents to this dentist! My 77 year old mother went in to get a routine check-up and teeth cleaning and before she was out of the chair she was signing a contract that had her borrow over 5000.00 from the bank. They convinced her that she needed major dental work including having a cavity filled on a FALSE TOOTH! She also paid them 3000.00 up front aside from the 5000.00. We are now having to jump through hoops to get back the loan as she is not going to continue with them. They told her any money paid was non refundable because she agreed to the dental plan they wrote up for her even when we told them she changed her mind and only wanted a few of the procedures done. I was told it wouldn't be a problem to change the plan but when we talked to the accountant she got angry and told us about the non refundable issue. I feel they took advantage of my mother due to her age and her vulnerability. read more
