Have had good experience with her as well as the hygenists and the receptionist (Robin). Robin and Dr. Stead were able to accomodate me during the very next day they were open to re-cement a cap, which I appreciated. Dr. Stead does give off an aura of caring and my impression is that she does a thorugh job during exams. I have always felt that choosing a dentist is sort of like what a condemed man feels when choosing his method of execution (some states do offer a choice) but I've come to believe that if one has to make the choice I've made a good one with Dr. Stead, though we do differ on the necessity of routine X-rays which, because of the heightened brain cancer risk, small as it may be,I will not be getting anymore. Before the appointment I explained by email that I was very anxious which is I'm sure's how I ended up there in the first place (procrastination/fear). I was taken care of so well by the receptionist, the hygienist and the dentist. They even found me a same day oral surgeons office near by so that we could move forward with getting my smile healthy. Everyone was so kind and gentle with both my mouth and my ego. They have a new lifetime client in me and my family. I really can't say enough good things. At Snelling Ave Dental, I have always felt welcomed being there from checking in at the front desk to sitting in the patient's chair. Everyone is extremely friendly and loves chatting with patients when they're up for it. (Pro tip: Talk about food. They LOVE to try new foods and share their foodie experiences.) I've visited here for a total of 3-4 times over one year, and I like how seriously they take their work here. During checkups, the doctor informs me of ways to improve my brushing and the spots that might need more attention. Something that's super simple, but I've never been told by a dentist what spots I haven't been reaching. Besides checkups, I also had a mouthguard fitted because I constantly clench my teeth when I'm stressed. It was a pain-free process, and they checked my insurance coverage and gave me a quoted price before initiating the whole process. Their communication is amazing and there was no confusion. I'm really sad that I can no longer go to Snelling Ave Dental because I moved out-of-state recently, but I'm so happy that I was able to find a dentist that I was satisfied with.

A staff member was walking out the door and rushed to her vehicle as my son and I were just about to the door. We waited around thinking someone went on break. Finally called the number on the door and was told someone in the office canceled our appointments. I never received notification of this. Called next day to have someone tell me they no longer have later hours on the day my appointment was scheduled. They claimed to have called twice, I verified the phone number on file; I never received a call or voicemail. Only thing offered was as to schedule another appointment on a day they would be open late. Don't think I'll be back.

But after about 5+ visits, I gotta break up with PCD and their great keurig selection. My experiences have been so inconsistent here. The first time I visited, they said they found some jaw bone misalignment on my X-ray, and referred me immediately to a specialist. PCD's X-Ray/conclusion turned out to be incorrect. Also, during a cleaning, one dentist said that everything looked fine and I didn't have any cavities. But then the next doctor swooped in and was like, "you need a filling". Ugh. Lastly, I needed a thick bite guard made for my TMJ, but instead I received a thin retainer, even though I have straight teeth. The hygienist was even confused by the discrepancies of the notes made by different doctors on my file. Oh, and one time I checked in and was waiting for a little while, when the receptionist called me on my cell phone to tell me I was late to my appointment. That one is actually kinda funny (but kinda not).
