I was able to play the entire 18 and only lost a handful of balls, which is a major accomplishment for me! If you like golf and you live close to here you can't go wrong. My only complaint is that they didn't sell golf shirts. I was in the mood to buy a "Mendota Golf Club" shirt!

Anderson Field is a nice municipal course right on the main thoroughfare in Streator, IL23. It's a…read morenine hole layout that is easily walked, but power carts are available if needed or desired. The rates are reasonable and pace of play is moderate. It's a great course for kids or new golfers. There aren't a lot of elevation changes, no water hazards and currently no sand traps. So you don't have to worry about long carries. A worm burner or a chili dip isn't going to be drowned. If you are a good golfer and want to be challenged while enjoying beautiful vistas, this won't be your course. But if you are you looking for a casual round, this is a great course.

We arrived early & had to wait for the other 8 ppl. The more ppl the better experience. We did 8 zips & went twice on the racing zip. So much fun. When you're scared of heights your adrenaline get to going. The second to last zip we did was the longest & highest. Make sure you have on some closed toe shoes b/c there's a lot of hiking through the zips. Bring inspect repellent & sunscreen.

However the staff was not at all friendly. We came in with two kids, a two year old and infant. Obviously the infant wasn't bowling. We were told that the bumpers would not be put up for our two year old. Once we got setup, the owner came in telling us to keep the kids under control (assuming we didn't know how to watch the kids). Then preceded to tell us we had to sign a waiver for the kids to bowl. After the hassle of that part of the family ended up having to leave with the kids. The facility is the only reason for the two stars. It would be 0 stars for the staff and the way they treated our family.

There website had no time slots showing but I called and they answered and said they have availability for the day I was hoping for. Great customer service from the moment they answered the phone to the moment we stepped off of the property. Well organized and such a fun time. Very well worth it and would definitely be coming back!! My boyfriend was completely mortified and scared to get on the horse and asked a million and one questions and every single staff was reassuring but also honest. He rode the horse with confidence because of the staff training and attentiveness. He would definitely come back and said he was the most amazing thing he's done his whole life. Every single animal on the ranch is also well taken care off and amazingly well manners, from the dogs to the random Turkey on site. Every single one was gentle and sweet. They also take pictures of you throughout the trail and provide you FREE of charge by texting them to you. HOW CONVENIENT!!! And the pictures are SOOOO GOOD! This also happened to be my step-son's birthday and they were wonderful and sweet enough to give him a horse shoe for good luck after the ride it was so unexpected and he completely was so excited. From a teenager being excited to ride horses and receive a horseshoe this says a lot!!

Close to a few other small parks around here. It's on the south side of the river. This is accessed from Route 71 on the south side of town. Amenities are few. There's a tiny building for a bathroom and some playground equipment but that's about it besides the open space of trees and grass. Good city park to chill. It's nothing special to be honest. There's a playground.
