This place was amazing extremely hot. Me & my friend went here for the first time & it was our first time ziplining. The drive wasn't bad either perfect day. We arrived early & had to wait for the other 8 ppl. The more ppl the better experience. We did 8 zips & went twice on the racing zip. So much fun. When you're scared of heights your adrenaline get to going. The second to last zip we did was the longest & highest. Make sure you have on some closed toe shoes b/c there's a lot of hiking through the zips. Bring inspect repellent & sunscreen. read more

We did an early Saturday mini zip guided tour. The guides are awesome. Positive. Comforting. Friendly. They really do a great job at their jobs and are a major plus if you are at all nervous. And I do recommend the photo package for $10. Unfortunately for us, we have done a zip/ropes course elsewhere in the Mid-West, so as for the zips, this place just didn't stack up, especially for the price. It's expensive...$50/per person for two bridges and 2 zips that would take you 10-15 minutes if you did them straight through. It end up longer because the guides are clipping each person in and out. The zips are a decent length, but for the price, they really need to expand. It wasn't 'thrilling' enough for me to ever go back, and I'm not sure I can really recommend it either. The only people I would suggest this to are those who have never zipped before and are looking for an introductory course...and have some extra cash. read more

EXCELLENT TOUR!!! I always wanted to do zip-lining, but never had the chance... I'm very glad I picked Zip Chicago to do my first zip-lining. All the staff were very friendly, especially our guides: Steve and Zach! They are AWESOME!!! They were very professional and helped me a lot landing lol Also, they took pictures of us and carried our phones in their backpacks. That was really a lot of extra work, but I never noticed any unwillingness/reluctance on their faces. In one of the short lines that are designed to teach us how to land on the ground, I turned backwards (of course not on purpose) approaching the end on the line, so it was hard for me to land with walking/running in the end... Unfortunately, one of my shoes popped out LMAO. Steve even helped me putting on my shoe... What a nice guide! This is one of the funniest experience I have ever had in the woods. Thinking about going back for the evening tour in the future. read more

This is the very first time I am ziplining and I am afraid of heights. Its my daughter's bday so I went for it and omg!!! I'm glad I did! The heights did not scared me at all! The tour was simply awesome and the guides were very trustworthy! I had so much fun! (I think I had more fun than my daughter)! It was exhilirarting! I would do it all over again now that I have the hang of it. Actually after the first two lines you will get an idea of how to maneuver and how to trust the ropes and the guides. Then, you will be asking for more!!! It was also perfect weather too! Not too hot and it did not rained. Me and my daughter wore matching vsport bra and leggings. Make sure you wear comfortable close shoes as well. The path could get muddy but when we came it was dry so better get ready to get your shoe wet if you come on a rainy day. Cute ziplining place in Illinois (about 1.5 hours SW of Chicago). I was expecting a lot worse since my first ziplining experience was through the jungles of Jamaica but they actually did a great job with the zip lines being under deep tree canopies. They also mixed them up between short, fast and long runs as well as having a double 'race' line through the parking lot. The movable bridges were also fun. I think this is a great way to spend a family afternoon for the kids and the adults can have a little fun also. Tip: wear old, closed toe shoes with some traction since there is some hiking through mud between the lines. read more

I had such a fun time! This was my first time zip lining and it was such an amazing experience. My family and I did the full trip which included 8 zip lines and 2 suspension bridges. Walking on those suspension bridges were something that I have never done before, but were a blast! All of the zip lines were exhilarating and had such beautiful views. The trees and scenery were breath taking and added to the experience. Our tour guides were very focused on safety and there wasn't ever a time where you weren't attached to something when waiting to go on the zip lines, getting off the zip line, etc. They also were very friendly and willing to help while making the experience as unique and fun. I was so happy with my experience and would certainly go back. *As a side note, make sure to bring insect repellent as you are in the forest and it does get buggy. read more

Wow -- this was so much fun! I went with my parents and one of their friends (they are all in their 60's) and we had such an awesome time. Jesse and Stacy were our guides and they were really great. We were the only 4 people on the tour that day (mid-week in May) which was nice since we were all first-time zippers. Most of us were a little scared going in -- I'd actually say that the bridges though are the scariest part! We felt completely safe the entire time though in the capable hands of our guides who made sure that we were always attached to the safety cables. They made sure that everyone was comfortable and had a great time. The scenery is beautiful -- it is all in a nice wooded area. After the first couple of zip lines and the bridges you do some hiking in between the zip lines. Near the end, you get to do a racing zip-line where you go at the same time as someone else in your group on a parallel line - this was very fun (you do the same one twice). But the best one is the line that is second to last -- it is the longest and you get to go pretty fast. Really great experience -- I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try zip lining! read more

Out of the group of 10 - 8 of us were zip line firsts! This place is great and they do a wonderful job of making you feel comfortable. We had a gal with us that overcame her fear of heights! So much fun and worth the trip for first timers to get a good feel for what it is like. The guides take their time to work with you and make sure each person is comfortable. Had bought two spots for my 11 and 15 year old grandchildren. When we got there and discovered how convenient it was, with no climbing up to get to the platform, we decided to try it. This place is so tucked away I had no idea it existed. I hope that it continues to gain publicity and momentum. I went on a great fall day at 10am -- nice time of day to go zipping. This is a great place for someone who wants to get out and have some out of the ordinary fun. There are a couple of really fast zips and others slower but each were a lot of fun. The bridges were also fun to walk across. Also, it was just beautiful out there; the hiking between the zips were enjoyable on their own. Overall if you like to be outdoors and want to fly through the air this is a great place! Make sure to ask for their deals that they may be having. The tour operators were pleasant over the phone and helpful and safe during the tour -- Tip them! It was so easy for anyone, I would say the harder part could be the hiking or the bridges. Bring a camera with a strap or make sure you can enclose it away in your pocket with a zipper just in case. I think winter would be fun too as well as the night zip-lining. Make a day out of it. Come here for ziplining and then head to Starved Rock later for hiking! read more

Called at 1030 AM to schedule a UTV rental guided tour. Went through the steps with a very helpful and friendly person. Paid for the rental in full and was scheduled for 2 PM. Called back immediately and changed the scheduled time to 1 PM. Drove the almost 60 miles to Zip Chicago. Signed in at the counter and signed all needed waivers. Told that our tour guide would meet us around 1240 PM. At 1 PM, I stepped back up to the counter and was told by the teenager standing there that he had no idea about us having a guided tour today. As I step away from the counter slightly perturbed, A gentleman on the loft over head calls down asking if we are here for the "6 seater rental", I reply yes. He says "You mean the one that is broke?" I said, I don't know about that but if your saying that it is then where do we go from here? I go up stairs to the upper counter and speak with the girl that I'm assuming I booked the rental with that morning. She tells us that the 6 seater UTV is broken and has been for "a couple weeks". To which I reply, how about 2 2 seaters than? To which she replies that they only have one 2 seater and the other 3 seater is broken also. So she offers to schedule us for another date and time starting two weeks out (to allow time to have the vehicles repaired). Ultimately, they did refund the rental price we had already paid. When asked about discount for any future services (to cover the gas to drive the 120 miles out and back today) I was told that "We don't do that kind of stuff." Well, I don't think you will be seeing me again at Zip Chicago. Schedule at you own risk. read more

This place is for the outdoorsy type there is some hiking involved but it is a great work out and well worth it. I took the 5 o'clock spot and it was so much fun and they are very friendly the only down side was the drive it took us 1 and a 1/2 hours to get there for a 2 hour and 15 minute tour. I suggest you ask to bring a waterbottle to hook on your harniss because it's a ling time without water. Also check the weather and make sure it's a good day it will make the experience that much better. read more

Zip Chicago is great!! It's definitely quite a trek to get there from the city, but it's worth it. I had a ton of fun! The course is a decent length, but I wish you got more speed on some of them. Two zip lines got good speed, but the rest while fun were a bit of a snooze if you're on the more adventurous side. If you're a thrill seeker then this will be a cake walk. If you can, try to go on a smaller sized tour so that you can avoid long wait times in between lines. read more

Went here on Saturday for a different adventure. We have been zip lining in the past but we're not experts by any means! The location is at the Cliffs off-road park. When you arrive there's a small building to register at. Zip Chicago is located upstairs. The building was nice and clean. It had a small concession stand and a rack of tshirts. The bathrooms were surprisingly decent for a place like this. My husband and I went with our 10 year old daughter and we loved it. You first off gear up. There are 2 guides that help with the group. They are really helpful, friendly, and really made the experience fun. We had Becca and the owners son. They were great - thanks guys!! They hook you on and off the lines each time. As they told us "we'll take care of it all, you guys don't have to do anything but enjoy the ride!". It was nice for that. If you like to do all the clipping yourself, this may be tame for you. There were a total of 8 or 9 runs, of those there were 2 wobbly plank & rope bridges. They were wobbly, but not difficult. The zip runs were decent also. They were pretty long and you can catch some speed. The side by side racing zips were fun also. I always felt really safe and secure thanks to the guides and large tree platforms. You do go for a hike a few times to get from one zip to the next, which I could have done without, but the hills were manageable. We did the 2 hr tour which ran us about $250 for 2 adults and 1 - 10 year old. They had a shorter 30 min tour, not sure how much that was. We also got the photo package in addition. It was $30 and the pictures are really cute and capture most of the course. Overall a fun afternoon adventure! read more

The team was very professional. We ran into a little trouble getting there using Google Maps on the phone and they helped to direct us to their office and start point. We had never done ziplining before. The team (Adam and Bridget) did a great time setting things up and explaining what we need to do to control the direction of spin. We were a little timid and they did a great job making it a lot of fun. The long tour is the right amount of time, since you have enough time to get the hang of it and it is not too long to get bored. I highly recommend it for someone who has not done this before. I wanted to do something thrilling with my son b4 he goes back to College and decided to this Ziplining. What an amazing time. The staff was calm, informative and funny. My son & I were first timers. That first leap was hard but by the 3rd one, I felt like a Pro doing cannonballs. I felt so safe with our Guides. They are there ahead of you and making sure you land safely. Trust me....I thought I was going to run into the tree, but my guide was there!!! Awesome!! What a thrill. I suggest doing the Full 8 Zip Tour and that's from a 50+ mom. Totally worth. This was our second time ziplining here. Our tour started at 6:00, so it got dark as we went. It was very fun and a different experience from the day tour. Our guides were Steve and Cory. They were very helpful and friendly. We had a rather annoying older guy in our group who constantly was making rude comments, yet the guys continued to be pleasant and friendly. Such a fun time! I went with my 10-year-old son and he was excited beforehand, and it was the first time either of us ever went zip lining and we both agreed it was even better than we'd hoped. It starts out with a short line out the side of the building, and then a couple of fun rope bridges. The lines get longer each time. We did the long tour, and it was definitely worth the money. A bit of hiking, but unless you're completely sedentary you shouldn't have too much difficulty with it. Our tour guides (Channing and Adam) were great. Knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and fun.
