Jason quoted a drainage system to alleviate a sump pump drainage problem that was affecting my lawn and 2 others in the neighborhood. This required installing a pipe across over 100 feet of lawn. The crew led by Medina navigated digging across the area without damaging sprinkler heads or controllers - they dug around and under them. When they finished you could not tell they had been here even though they dug up over 100' of lawn and installed a 4" pipe. They had managed to maintain the sod and replaced it when they were finished. The crew was courteous, efficient and were sensitive to the social distancing issues by wearing masks. They tell you that they will come out.And fix it no matter what.But when you ask them to fix it, they argue with you on the phone. We have used this company for about 2 years. We were not particularly pleased the first year, but went over a few things with them and decided to give them a chance to correct. OMG, my yard looks like complete and utter sh*t. We stopped the service and will try to fix it ourselves. Weeds have taken over most of our backyard, Starting to fill the front yard....we have wild crazy grass growing in between the weeds. It's awful. I'm embarrassed. My neighbors who don't do anything to their lawn, have nicer grass than us. I guess when they came to spray etc.... they were just spraying water!! They ruined my yard. Early May Spring green turned on irrigation system and informed me that I have leakage in my irrigation and they charged me $270 to fix it. My water bill in June was $290 then it spiked to $490 in July. I called the Amrican water to check any leakage I have. American Water came today and confirmed a leakage in my irrigation system at a rate of one gallon every 23 second causing a tremendous waste of 97,200 gallon of water over a month. I am so frustrated and don't have enough words to describe how Spring Green st Charles basically do not know what they are doing. his is my first year using their service. My plan has seven visits throughout the year for lawn and lawn pest control. Mosquitos have been awful in my yard for several years, so I opted to try their mosquito treatment as well. I've been extremely happy so far. They always contact me the day before treatment and the technician is courteous and friendly. My lawn is already showing signs of improvement and I've noticed a fairly dramatic decrease in mosquitos. TWICE I scheduled them to start my irrigation system (a service I prepaid for) and twice they didn't show up. They first time they said it was a mistake. They said they were not scheduled to come. If I could give them a zero it would still be too kind. . . My yard has more weeds now after their failure to actually apply weed control or fertilizer. Their manager, Mike Moyer came and viewed my yard after my complaints. He looked at my yard, agreed that it looked awful and said that he was aware that there was a problem with their services. He said that he was going to get the situation rectified and asked that I give him a chance to show me that Spring Green could service my yard appropriately. After a month of not hearing from him and receiving no service, I called and asked for a refund. Just got a refund that is less than the prepaid services that still haven't even been performed. It certainly should be for the full amount of the services not performed and then if they have any integrity they should be giving me a full refund because it is doubtful that they performed any service as I have yet to see any evidence that they have done anything. . .which is why my yard looks the way it does. FYI I do have a working irrigation system, my yard is cut weekly, and I have followed all of Spring Greens recommendations other than contracting with them for more services that they perform in word only. Spring green killed some new grass I was growing. I bought the expensive seed and spent a lot of time and money to grow new grass. Spring green sprayed and killed it all so now I have to start all over. When I called them to ask them not to spray new grass in the future (which was very obvious since it's new and little) the owner was extremely rude. Terrible customer service. She said it's the wrong time of year to try to grow grass. Maybe but I don't want mud, I have dogs. Then she said it was my fault that I didn't tell them not to spray it. Anyone with common sense could tell it was new small grass. I told her to cancel our service and now I'm looking for a new company that doesn't have terrible customer service. read more

In 2021 Spring Green started a new Irrigation service, since I have been a long-term customer of their lawn treatment, I was willing to give it a try. During backflow test, I was told I need a new backflow control. A few weeks later, an inexperienced sprinkler technician came to replace it, it took him more than a week, he admitted it was his first time doing plumbing. After numerous attempts, the job was finally completed. Later in the year, he also completed winterization. Since I was not happy with the quality of the job and the qualification of their technician, I changed the service to my previous provider for 2022. Before he even began the start up process, the technician alerted to me that the back-flow valved was not shut-off correctly, and asked me if the system was even winterized, and who did it. He showed me a blown out pipe connector and told me whoever winterized it was supposed to turn off only halfway, not completely shut-off. The winterization probably was not done correctly, so the remaining water in the system froze during winter and damaged the whole system. The replacement cost was about $600. I complained to Spring Green office every two weeks (message for the person in charge of irrigation), to give him time to call me back. During my last call (the third) I left a message to the office manger and alerted them that if no one return my call, I will file complaint to BBB and on social media. I will also cancel the lawn treatment service for next year. I gave her one week to respond. Someone called, left a short message and phone number to call back. I called back, left a message and gave him both my home phone and cellphone, so that I would not miss his call. Haven't heard from them again. Not an apology, and did not even bother to come up with an excuse. Customers are just money tree from them, once they know I will no longer be their customer next year, they don't care anymore. read more

I've been using Spring Green for several seasons. My lawn looks great compared to both neighbors on either side. One season there was a mishap with my electric wiring for my Automower that required complete rewiring. Spring Green owned up to it and took care to have it professionally replaced. We still have weeds, bald spots, & their guys just show up & stick a sign in the yard when you are not home & don't do the work. My advice is talk to other customers before you hire anyone or someone that you trust after seeing other yards. We reached out to other neighbors who have great yards. Interesting they never heard of Spring Green which is more concerns. They are too small to build a reputable good name for themselves. I hired Spring Green to replace the mulch in my front yard landscape with a weed sheet covered with rocks. The project cost was $1,500, and I was promised full satisfaction. I was very disappointed that Spring Green applied the weed sheet incorrectly over my sprinkler system. This led to water accumulation below the weed sheet and in a few months the whole rock area was completely covered with weeds and grass. I repeatedly asked Spring Green to come and resolve this problem. They sprayed the front of my lawn with a powerful "weed killer," which barely affected the weeds, but led to large yellow dead patches in my font lawn grass. I became more concerned about this, and asked that they do not spray my front lawn with this material again and to instead redo the project properly. I informed the owner of my dis-satisfaction with the outcome, and he promised to redo the project at no additional costs. More than a month passed and multiple crews came out to my house who were completely unaware of the project plans to revise the weed sheet and rock area. Subsequently, I received a call from a different individual who claimed to be the owner of the business. This person was different than the owner that I previously spoke to about the project revision. This new person repeatedly yelled at me over the phone, refused to acknowledge the revised project plan by the other owner, and tried to blame me for the failure of the project. I am 100% dissatisfied by the services provided by Spring Green. They are rude and have very bad communication with customers. Their owner(s)?, managers, and crew staff clearly do not communicate. And, their services have poor outcomes. I am also concerned about the affects of the material/chemicals that were sprayed on my front lawn to attempt to kill the weeds that were penetrating through the incorrectly placed weed sheet. read more

Steer clear of this company! Their customer service is terrible. I was told the night before we would be getting our final treatment for the winter. I work from home and since I have been suspicious of their service any way I made a point to keep an eye out for them i.e. no spot treatment for weeds as the whole yard was covered with weeds all summer, the worst I've seen in the yard in 20 years I've lived here! The day they supposedly fertilized, there was 1/2 inch of snow on the ground except for a large area in the back yard. There were no spreader tracks in the snow but she told me they used the liquid spray. Well, there were no footprints either, just rabbit and dog. I guess he stood out in the street and hit everywhere! I guess she doesn't know that fertilizer melts snow faster than salt but she told me all of the snow was melted. Again, I was home! I asked why their sign was not in the yard and she said they ran out. She also said she has GPS tracking for the trucks and it was here for 9 minutes. He may have been on the side street filling out his fake ticket. I say fake ticket because it said he did a ph reading and it read 6. something that would require another treatment. The funniest thing was he also wrote that the new seed was coming around nicely...Well, I didn't have them reseed the yard and I sure didn't do it! Maybe the neighbors did? I would think it should take more than 9 minutes to 1. fertilize 2. do a soil test. 3.check out the phantom grass seed and 4. Fill out a service ticket. Well, after all of that she said she would do a courtesy treatment to which I declined and told them not to come back next year because I'm canceling the service and going elsewhere. I mean this woman is never wrong! She told me she will be sending me to her collections which she did. Well, be my guest because I'm not paying a dime for services I've never received. it's not like 38 dollars is a lot of money but its the point. I don't care if it was 5 dollars and I've never had any problem paying any vender. I've had 2 great lawn services since I've lived here. unfortunately, both sold the business. My yard looked like a carpet with NO weeds in no time. In response to the owner's response. As stated, there was still 1/2 inch of snow in the front and side of my house. Reading reviews here, the BBB and elsewhere,There seems to be a pattern here. Regarding your excuse for the weed problem, I'm not buying that one either. I've never seen weed killer that takes months to kill a weed . As there was not even one coughing and gagging weed. She claims they do spot spraying of weeds too. Well, l don't think they put any weed killer in the spray because the weeds loved it! Most weeds I've ever had! Tank you. I don't think she ever visits sites in order to assess complaints. Just trust her technicians response. People should not trust her mailings either because I was to get a free grub application. I never got one. I had a really bad experience with their service. I went with them because they were about $20 less per treatment then my former provider. It really was unwise because I lost a large portion of my lawn and weeds were terrible the whole spring/summer. I'd call and they'd come out, but their response was always not to worry that the treatments would work. I paid and paid until finally called back my old service for an evaluation. There ended up being an infestation of web worms that spring green completely missed for months (in addition to a continuing weed problem).I even pointed out to them that there were large gatherings of birds in my yard day after day - which I know now should have been a clear sign of a bug problem. What was an attempt by me to save money cost me much more bc I had to have my old company come back and provide the services missed, as well as reseed the dead areas. My lawn instantly fell apart from the time spring green took over care. And I never had any problems when my other guy was on the job.
