So pleased!! Clipper took care of our Red Maple and an Elm in back - both trees extensively pruned with a raising of the canopy. The care Clipper took in choosing the cuts brought a result that is something akin to artistic: balance and symmetry for the health of the trees and their appearance was achieved. They look great. All the arborists wore hard hats at all times, put up road signs advising of work ahead, and yes, they cleaned up well. Had a tree that needed to be taken down and checked with 3 different reputable companies in the area. Clipper gave a good price and showed up within 2 weeks of signing the agreement to complete the work. Communication in regards to timing on when the initial evaluation and final work could have been better. In the end, the job was completed within a reasonable time in under a day. This company did a FANTASTIC job trimming and deadwooding a HUGE oak in our backyard. It took a little bit of time to get on their roster but it was well worth the wait! Fantastic work! Their quote was reasonable, and I honestly cannot say enough good things about the crew that worked on my 3 large trees. These guys were professional, hard working, and so efficient. They cleaned up everything when they were done- seriously, zero evidence that they had been in my backyard! Most importantly, they were respectful and courteous when they spoke to me- no condescending tones or annoyance when I asked questions. I also want to mention that Clipper's communication was incredible. I requested a quote through their (easy-to-use) website and received a prompt follow-up email letting me know how far out they were scheduling estimates. The day that I was scheduled to get an estimate, Clipper called me to let me know when the Arborist was on the way. The quote came via email with interactive links to accept the proposal online and it also included an option to create an online account with them. It was a professional, streamlined process. Clipper has done work at my house 2x. Both times they had the lowest estimate and came out and got the job done in a timely manner. This last time they also helped out a neighbor who had a large tree partially fall during a recent storm so it was greatly appreciated that they reached out and took care of that too while they were out. read more

We recently had Clipper return to our home to remove the deadwood on our 40+ year old sweetgum tree. This was their 2nd time doing work for us. Their work was terrific. It starts with Ted Smick the Operstions Manager. He carefully evaluated what should be done and gave a fair estimate. There were some items he recommended that we not do because it was not necessary. half way through having a tree cut down and have to write a review. The crew is fantastic. They told me what they were going to do, and they did it. They were quiet, courteous and good at their jobs. They were happy to talk to me when I stuck my head out, they made sure to clean up their personal trash (soda/gatorade bottles, smokes, etc...) and are doing a good job of tree debris removal so far. Very impressed. When they were leaving, they knocked on the door and let me know they would be back to finish another day. They even thanked me for having them over, like we were old friends. We had Clipper come out in March to remove dead wood from our big oak trees in front. When the tree started to green out, we discovered another branch that had been missed. We contacted Clipper and they came back out and not only got the large branch but several of the small ones that would not have been included in the original agreement. We got a bunch of sorely neglected trees with our new house in the city. After dealing with a highly unprofessional and incompetent tree service, and after some sticker shock from the bigger names, we have been SO HAPPY to work with Clipper. They have trimmed and removed trees for us three times. They do a great job. Their bids are low, the guys on the crews are super nice and they don't mind my fussy requests. Recently, within three days of calling to get an estimate, my tree was trimmed and tidied. read more

There are pros to every business. This place at least had free estimates. However, they have horrible communication, horrible customer service and horrible reliability. No one ever called me back after my request to have a free estimate done for a large tree in my backyard. The employee doing the estimate simply showed up without contacting me to set up an appointment. That was frustrating, but not such a big deal. I mean, at least they came out for the estimate. A couple other places I called didn't even show up. The price was good, so we scheduled an appointment. Unfortunately, they never came out. I called multiple times to see what the problem was, but was sent straight to voice mail. To weeks later I get a call, "hey, we are in your area today! Would you like us to stop by?" Ummmmm....NO. By then I had already hired a different company. I told the receptionist I was frustrated that they didn't show up for the appointment and never contacted me. Her response? "Okay!" and a quick hang up. Don't bother hiring this company. They may quote you a good price, but will not show up for the appointment, will not let you know if they are not coming, and will not call to reschedule. I don't know how they stay in business. I guess their customers don't mind waiting around to see if maybe their trees will get taken care of. I prefer to work with businesses that don't make me guess whether or not the work they were hired for will ever get done. read more
