My late wife's Toshiba laptop started to have disk drive problems several years ago. The cost of repair I was quoted in Pennsylvania was more than a replacement computer would cost so it was replaced and the Toshiba was set aside to be addressed in the future. While technology knowledgeable, I just didn't want to deal with it then. A good friend and customer here recommended Mike and Spring Hill Tech as the place to take the Toshiba to for an repair estimate. A couple of weeks ago I took it there and discussed the problem with Mike, leaving it there for repair as the cost estimate was reasonable to me. About ten days later Mike called to tell me what he found and what he did to repair it. The hard drive was indeed bad so I had him replace it with a solid state one of 256 gig capacity. He updated the OS to Windows 10. Best of all, he was able to transfer all the files and programs from the old drive to the new solid state one. The resulting improvement in performance was amazing. I now had a state of the art laptop for far less than the cost of a new one. It will now replace my personal use Toshiba/Vista OS, which is being retired to do just everyday non-internet chores. 6/9/2025 How can one say T HANK YOU sufficiently? Over the past 6-8 years I have utilized your services several times and have always been pleasantly appreciative of your personalized services. Recently, I purchased a new computer, and requested them to transfer everything from the old one to the new one. This was promptly accomplished, successfully and relatively inexpensively. However, after a few days of working with my new computer, something unexpected occurred, causing my computer and printer to stop communicating with each other. After exhausting my own limited resources, I returned to their good offices explaining my dilemma. They very promptly diagnosed the problem and fixed it while I waited-----AT NO CHARGE!! They could have quoted me any price they chose and I would have paid them gratefully. This speaks volumes as to the quality of the people and their business. Well its true what everyone says about Mike. if you need help with some issue on your computer Mike is the go to guy. Mike always makes time to listen and will fix the issue or explain what he's dealing with and try to help you understand what your options are.my wife and I have used Spring Hill Tech prob a half dozen times since moving to Florida. we finally found Mike after trying a couple of places where the results and service just left a lot to be desired. I took my laptop to Mike yesterday (that he's has kept running for quite some time). The bad news was that it was just beyond any reasonable amount of $$$ to repair. I had a problem getting the access to the computer because the password was missed and no way I could get back into the operating system. I had plenty of important documents inside and I needed them. So I went to SPRING HILL TECH to repair my PC. Mike , the technician was there and he explained to me what it was supposed to do. First a bacup of the data and next to erase the password just if in case the PC would not reboot at least I coulg get my documents.I agreed and he did a perfec professional job. Fred M. Turned on my laptop on July 1, 2019 and all it showed was a black screen. Googled laptop repair near me and found Spring Hill Technology. Read all the good reviews and decided to give it a try and may I add with no regrets. Bought the laptop on July 2nd, got a call on July 3rd, needs a new motherboard. Took me dead laptop to Mike @ Spring Hill Technology. Called me the same day and told me the hard drive was dead. Thank goodness I have always backed up in the cloud! He put in a solid state drive, installed windows 10, office suite, and make it turn key for we within a day. Very reasonable price and excellent communication. I would not take my computer to anyone else. We take thousands of photos and use photography programs to sort and finish the pictures. If my computer doesn't work right, we are at a stand still. I am always shocked when I go to them. I bring my computer with any problems. Sometimes they fix problems that I've had for along time and didn't know how to correct. I've had trouble with alexa products and brought my computer in cause it wouldn't get online and they corrected it and fixed the alexa at the same time.
