Everyone here was so friendly even with my Daughter she echos, so she repeats back questions or won't answer or acknowledge and sometimes when I go to other places people will repeat or try to get her attention and I will feel like annoyed or the need to explain why she's not answering. But Not here! Mrs.Claus which is the Nicest sweetest Lady! one of the Main Reason I Will Be coming Back I Mean I wish I took a picture with her she literally knew how to have a conversation with my Autistic Daughter Other Than that they took there time Trying to get us a good Picture With Santa Clause I Don't even think I had ever had this kind of experience Before. They were soo Patient. The Camera Men ! Never took his smile of his face. There's a point where I start also getting nervous because I feel like people will start getting impatient. But nope! Everyone was so Helpful! Santa Was Santa! Idk why but the little girl in me was excited He look so real! Lol oh yeah the Young lady that check us in was so friendly we got there like 20 ish minutes early and there was no one there so we go to take our pictures early ! After our pictures we got hot coco with cookie we went to sit down and then We Saw the GRINCH!!!! My Daughters weren't a fan I Was! Lol my two year old she was eating her cookies Just staring at him making sure he wouldn't sneak up!! She loves the Grinch movie idk why she was so scare haha then we went to see the Famous Tree house it's soo cute ! Mrs.Claus told me how everything started how every year they usually add something new so I'm so excited to see what they add next year!! She then Had a Whole Conversation with My Two Year Old My Baby Loved Mrs.Claus! They are so good with Kids! This Place Os Amazing ! So many Many places to take pictures!! There was also a Gentleman walking around offering us to take pictures for us so we can have family pictures which we got a couple! Today's times and the many changes that are going on is many places that do get torn down and with out checking if they have historical nature and background . The on e location that was the place that you could buy freshly baked bread and get fresh cakes made it was the Grove Bakery that was in the City of Lemon Grove since 1947 . The only bakery that you could see the many people that would come for coffee and doughnuts and the many fresh baked goods the beautiful cakes and the decorated wedding cakes that you could see when you walked in the door . The many cakes and the many different kids of baked cookies they would have in the display case there would be wedding couples that would come to taste cakes for weddings . The original owners of the bakery were from Holland and the history of the bakery has so much more History that with its ties after the war and the great creations the bakery had made . When you go by the old bakery you will see several historical murals that that show the true history and the many centuries that the city of Lemon Grove has been around the many people and the tribes that have been upon the land . Yes there is History that is in Lemon Grove with College that was acting transit point between the East County and the City of Down Town San Diego .

Every year thousands of Native Americans and Non-Native visitors to Balboa Park. It's an important and annual celebration on Mother's Day that celebrates a culture that has been around for generations. Follow the steady beat of buffalo hide drums and Bird Singers and find yourself in the midst of a great celebration of culture and traditional foods. Jump in line and order some Fry Bread prepared either as an Indian taco filled with beans, meat, lettuce, tomato & cheese or drizzled in honey and sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar or treat yourself to some mutton stew. Don't miss the gourd dancing (11am) followed by the Grand Entry (Noon). This is when Native Dancers all enter the arena to dance in their traditional regalia. There are always about 40 vendors to browse and shop from as well as children's crafts for the little one's. Best of all there is no entrance fee or ticket to purchase to attend.

Our three fundraisers each year are: The Christmas Home Tour, The Attic Treasures, and The Spring High Tea. This building is simply rented out to these private businesses for their own shows. Anyone can rent this historical building for a nominal fee. Please refer to the Alpine Woman's Cub Website for additional information. The Alpine Woman's Club is comprised of dedicated, local volunteers who maintain and preserve this beautiful iconic building. It was originally established in 1899 as the town hall, and is now at the center of our wonderful small community. Most importantly, the Alpine Woman's Club gives back to our neighborhood by providing yearly scholarships, to deserving high school residents!

I and my friends went to the craft fair, walked into the front door, and noted that the three women staffing the cash register and front door we're not wearing masks and we're letting in anyone who did not have a mask on. when I inquired as to why there was a mask mandate on the invitation printed prominently that they had sent to me and why none of the staff was wearing masks? They looked like deer caught in the headlights, said nothing, did nothing and looked at the floor. My friends and I left immediately, bought nothing and we will not shop this craft fair again. Shame on the women's club of Alpine for false advertising and not looking out for the safety of their invited guests.

The only reason we went was because I scored Groupon tickets that saved us 75% off the entry fee…read more BUT IT WAS SO GREAT, I would have paid the full price!!! Seriously. They had sooo many stations set up doing so many cool things for the kids... drum circles, painting, messy crafts, potting plants, face painting, bubble blowing, dancing, dressing up, construction zones... it just went on and on. At each of these stations, the kids would get to make something AND KEEP IT TO TAKE HOME. FOR FREE. We came home with balloons, stuffed animals, a potted plant that the kids painted and planted, flags, frisbees, and we did pay $6.50 for a couple of really cool watering cans for the girls to play with. PLUS, they had a big stage in front of a beautiful pond they filled with plastic duckies, and they had live bands, ballerinas, the kids loved it. They had food stations, and while those weren't free, they were reasonable ($3 hotdogs, $1 water bottles, etc.). The bulk of the event was set up in the grassy areas, so it was like a giant picnic area. Really nice for our short legged family members, since the festival is for them! I think they have the right idea, charging $15 a head at the door, then making all the stuff inside free. It makes it a MUCH MUCH more pleasant experience inside the festival, to not have to stand in line for five-ten minutes, just to have to pull out your wallet. Also, I am sure that it cuts down on the unmanageable crowd aspect. If it were free at the door and each booth charged, then the place would be mobbed by window shoppers and it would kill the experience. I plan to go to this event every time they have it! We've only been to the first of the two-day event. We're going back tomorrow and plan to bring a picnic with us. Weeeee!!!

So, a family of four pays $88 to go. Well, I'm not going because frankly that's way too expensive for a collection of small activities in a public space. Plus, the photos I see online from prior years here on yelp shows activities using Ikea toys. Really? Not sure who's running the math for this event but they should check out comparable kids activities in San Diego before setting prices. Case in point, one year unlimited admission to the New Children's Museum downtown costs less, has similar activities, is open all year long, and is great for kids.
