Hopefully next year there will be more food options. The beer garden was good sporting several local breweries. The fair also sported local performances from dance studios and such.

Here is my annual review!…read more This past weekend our little neighborhood hosted the street fair and while it was the smallest one I've ever been to, it still had all of the Rolando charm. The music was great, the food vendors were serving delicious food (I had BBQ) and the beer garden served as the constant heart of the entire thing. Props to Corbin and crew for keeping the beer cold and the bands for keeping the vibe live. Good times in a great neighborhood!

When its the neighborhoods you have more of the many people that know each and everyone and see your many friends that do stop by . Rolando Street is off El Cajon Blvd and its a nice historical area of San Diego when you come to place that has a large sign that Says Welcome to Rolando large wooden sign that can be seen when you drive in . There are many places that I have been to the many states that are north of California and the further Northern areas of the United States that have the local fireworks displays that light up the skies . When I had arrived at Rolando Street Faire that I was welcomed of the bat as I had walked past the barricade that had blocked of the street the many cars that had parked such far distances . What can you expect when you go to neighborhood festivals and the many people that you will see when I had walked up the middle of the faire I could see so many tents that had lined the streets the many people that have their own business meeting people . To get the general feel of a street faire you can get to see the many retailers those that were selling products, and the one which were connected with city and state governments that were running for office where else can you go is a family oriented street faire . The many tents that were there you could find jewelry products that were the best I have ever seen many of them were from private owners and sellers here in San Diego and some that were from out of State . The many people that I had met were very friendly and the services they had were ones that many families could use , and the services of pharmacies that had come to street faire to check blood pressure and free products . The many food trucks and the tents that had some of the best food that I have seen the ones that I liked were the funnel cake and the great pizza they had there when you have great pizza you also have great music. The concert stage they had set up over near the kid's area they had there-own adventure that had some of the climbing and blow-up wall and tumble adventure set ups . For those that like to have a good beer they had a medium size bar garden that was set up near by you got the music and get to see the music bands they ad play there . The fair is free to walk around, shop, buy food and drink, listen to the bands. The bands are loud and there are several sound stages. There are booths selling the festival merch, like shirts and hats, and I assume that helps to continue to put on the festival\. The ad said 300 vendors, not sure if there were really 300, but there were a bunch for sure. Definitely a fun thing to check out if you are in the area and wanting a street festival to try.

And it can be pretty hot in Sept, so bring your floppy hats and plenty of water. This was the 40th year with 66 bands - some are 'hit or miss' - but a great selection of music. Lots of vendors for things like solar panels to pest control to food. Most of the food is a little deeper in the festival - but you've got your solid basics: gyros, bbq, and ..... well......fried. Pup friendly but be sure to travel on the off-hours. Nice selection of pet friendly vendors too (leashes, bowls, tons of pet stuff)! Lots of fun for the whole family - it's nice to get out after being locked down for so many years!

Dockside Fish 6. Palmy's Pacific Beach 7. Surfside: Black Cherry, Iced Tea Lemonade 8. Fire Barbecue: Pastrami 9. Sovereign Modern Thai 10. Dang Brother Pizza 11. Caliano Pizza: Chopped Cheese 12. Pros: lots of alcohol, super friendly vendors, San Pellegrino everywhere to keep you hydrated, nicely decorated with Day of Dead photo ops, fresh hot tacos (all delicious) with fancy toppings, restaurants from TJ, Mexicali, SD, variety of tacos from lengua to Thai to ahi to salmon, free parking, nice variety of alcohol from sangria to beer to wine to hard cider. Cons: long lines, waste of plates, no table tops/belly ups or seats unless part of VIP section, no dessert booths, lots of empty booths and/or vendors ran out of food before 2:00. But getting to go for free makes me even embarrassed to bring up the cons. Truly it was a great event. Liberty Station was a great venue for this because it was spacious for the amount of people in attendance. Tix were sold out. Parking is easy and free. Only caveat: I didn't check out restrooms or see them but I do wish there were handwashing stations around. Some vendors were eating with the same gloved hands they were serving from.

The Pacific Island Festival Association (PIFA) event has been going on for 31 years in Mission Bay…read morein SD in September. They celebrate all of the Pacific Island Cultures. Persons from Guam and Samoa were well represented here! The main stage features entertainment every thirty minutes. I came here to see my six year old niece do some hula; however, they had cultural exhibitions for the entire weekend! Also cool are the cultural merch and food that you can get here. I was able to get a really solid 3 meat sampling of Chamorro (Guamanian) food for $25, which came with a red rice, 3 meats, and creamy greens. Lines could be pretty long for food and it can get pretty hot at the park; however, we had a good time as we were here in the morning before the sun brought down its wrath on the crowds. We parked for free at the Sun Runner Parking lot off Sea World Parkway, and they had shuttles that took you to the event from the lot for $2 per person. If you are coming to this event, then I think this is a great way to get to the event. The event is running through the end of this weekend. I primarily come to support family that participates; however, we did find some good food and Pacific Islander vendors, so it was a good time overall!

We chose to be on the floor GA this year. It did not disappoint as there was plenty of room to dance at this high energy show. The bars were close by to grab a local Cutwater cocktail. If you attend enough events here you get a lay of the land and learn what there is to do.. We don't go for the games, food or rides. There is something here for everyone. The fair has so much going on to keep you busy. Loved the monster trucks and motor sports. With so much more to keep you busy. Now for some reason. For parking and to take the exit to the park. We were in line for 90 minutes. Now this was the Friday before the fourth 2026 but That still was ridiculous. If I hadn't pre-purchased our tickets. I would have say no way. If you can avoid the holiday time. I highly recommend. Being a tourist. I really didn't have a choice. Nevertheless the fair was so much fun!! Can't wait to return next year!! 2027
