Dr. Lim was AMAZING and I imagined I'd never look for another dentist again. Unfortunately, he has left the practice and it's gone downhill ever since. TLDR: New service is acceptable, but the billing is borderline illegal. Check your EOBs!!! NONE of the amounts we paid in office matched the EOB patient responsibility. The ONLY reason this isn't a 1 star review is because the new dentists are pleasant enough and have decent bedside manners, but their quality of work just isn't the same as Dr. Lim's. My crown from Dr. Lim looked just like the tooth it replaced, but my crown from one of the new dentists looks like a flat blob (although I suppose it functions well enough). I had a chipped tooth repaired recently and the repair fell off within a week and it was billed to insurance as a 4-surface filling. Speaking of billing - read the other reviews that mention shady billing practices because they're accurate. November 2022 I had a procedure costing over $1000. When I received the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from insurance, it had my amount due at over $200 less. I had to contact the office and request the refund - doubt they would have offered it up. At least that was an easy fix. In July 2023, my husband had several procedures done and, of course, we had to pay upon completion of service. When we received the EOBs, we noticed that several of the procedures were filed out of network causing the actual amount due to be vastly different than what was printed. By November, all but two had been correctly re-filed, but those last two STILL have not been fixed (it's Jan 2024) despite me repeatedly reaching out regarding this issue - to both our insurance and the office at SpringCrest. Based on what the patient responsibility SHOULD be, we are actually OWED a refund of over $500, yet we still receive text notifications that we have an overdue balance. Shadier still, during one of the times that I inquired about these issues, I was told that one of our bills was paid with cash. We never pay with cash, so it seems someone on the backend was trying to cover up mistakes. In Aug 2024 my husband had another procedure and he paid in office but an insurance claim was *never filed*. Again, despite repeated attempts to figure out what happened, 5 months later we still don't know what the real patient responsibility is because there is no EOB to compare. I'm pretty sure there is a law in Texas about a deadline to file insurance claims, so I'll definitely be looking into that some more. The only thing I've received from them in response to my questions is "I'm available [such-in-such time] to answer any questions you may have." I've texted, emailed, called, and tried to set up an in-person appointment with the billing specialist, but despite going during her office hours, she's never there when I show up. To SpringCrest Dental if you're reading this - please provide actual answers and fix the insurance claim mistakes. To prospective clients - either find a different dentist or be VERY careful about what you pay for and get receipts for everything. read more

She is so aggressive and has no mercy. First time with Dr. Lim. Lived in Irving for over 60 years before moving to Cedar Hill Texas. I was looking for a Dentist that catered to cowards. He came Highly recommended. My mother went to him and was very pleased. Dr. Lim was very through, asking questions and looking at my Xrays. He also used a 3D scanner. I've been getting my dental work done with Dr. Lim now for the last 2 years. I'm 41, and it's the first time in my adult life that I've gone to the dentist consistently for four straight cleanings and checkups. This is a HUGE testament to Dr. Lim and his professionalism, as well as his entire staff's. There are not a lot of things I like less than dental visits, but Dr. Lim's gentle and caring approach are unparalleled to any experience I've ever had. His office feels and looks like a spa, and his staff is incredibly warm and genuine. I had two cavities on my first visit. I felt zero discomfort during the entire process. Luckily, I haven't had any issues on the last 3 visits. I know I'm in honest and capable hands with Dr. Lim. I know he's not going to try to sell me anything, as it's obvious that his priority is to take care of his patients, and not treat them like an ATM machine. I'm considering moving out of the area, but will most definitely travel the extra miles to visit Springcrest Dental and Dr. Lim. He has my business for as long as he's practicing! read more

I used to dread going to the dentist. Not anymore, Dr. Lim made my visit very easy and most importantly painless. I've had a couple of root canals done before and this was by far the most smoothest one. The atmosphere is also very nice. I even got to catch up on my Netflix shows. I typically do not leave reviews, but my experience was so magnificent I had to share. From the time you enter the door you are warmly greeted. You are instantly brought back and your service starts. The dental assistant is so kind and nurturing. The dentist is down to earth and caring. I used to have a phobia of the dentist, but my experiences have been painless here. They get you in and out. They are simply phenomenal! They have comfy blankets for you, neck pillows, and you enjoy Netflix while you get your service done. I was a bit worried going into first appointment at Spring Crest Dental, considering that this was my first dental appointment in over a year. Overall, my experience was a very great one! From the front desk, the hygienist, and to Dr. Lim, was amazing! I really liked how thorough they were when they were presenting my treatment. I've known Dr. Lim for a long time, before he opened up this practice when he was still in California. His office is meticulously clean with brand new equipment, and so nicely decorated that you'll feel like you're in a spa. What sets Dr. Lim apart from the rest though is his dedication to his patients and his easy-going humor. Would not recommend. New to the area, came to Dr. Lim based on reviews. I came in for a cleaning that I get every 6 months. I was informed that there was so much work that needed to be done on my mouth from root canal and crowns etc..... Almost a 4k bill before insurance would've paid. Went with my gut feeling and got a second opinion, I only need 1 fill re-done. So glad, I went with my gut feeling. Needless to say, I will not be back. Only reason they get ** star is because Melissa at the front desk was really nice and informative and the office setting was nice. If you are looking for a new dental office this is definitely the place to go. I have been to a dental office in a while due to not knowing if I'm going to like the place or not and as soon as I got here I was greeted and they already knew who I was. The ladies at the front desk were super sweet and easy to talk to and the hygienist was really laid back and informative. I didn't catch her name but I wish I did. She was awesome. Dr. Lim is always very laid back and made me feel very comfortable, I was in and out, no long wait and didn't have to wait 30 minutes for Dr.Lim to walk in to check me out. They were very easy to talk to and didn't try to rush me out, answered every question I had weather it was dumb or not. No one gave me a hard time. It was a perfect experience. Dr. Lim was referred to me by a co-worker at the City of Cedar Hill, after my first visit I was completely hooked! They are very polite, professional and easy going.
