We have been encouraged to join full time, become members, volunteer, etc, but we don't choose to do that, because we also attend and volunteer at Eugene-Springfield Chinese Christian Fellowship once a month to keep in touch with our cultural heritage. Our friends at church understand that and accept us as we are. If you're looking for a politically active church, this isn't it. They are teaching the Bible but they don't bring up current events and politics. For me, that's a calming break from the divisions in our society.
