Since my piercing had been out for a while, the girl at the counter recommended that I have the piercer insert it for me, so I roamed around and tried to talk myself out of buying yet another purse with skulls on it while I wait. A few minutes later, I was called back to the piercing room which was clean and everything the piercer did was hygienic. I was in, out and on my way in just a few minutes. Was everyone so friendly that they wanted to stick around and chat? He ruined my finger and according to another tattoo artist, he also caused the area to scar, so I have scar tissue there now. I also had a different artist tattoo a hibiscus flower on my arm and I asked for no black ink, just red ink... Well, that one had to be redone also because it looked like a candy cane, despite showing him a photo of what I wanted (not a candy cane) at least the re-do on that one was halfway decent but still needs work. I had extensive work done today that covered the lower half of both of my legs. It was my first tattoo that I've gotten in about 20 years. She not only does amazing detailed line work, but she works quickly and made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. Plus, my husband and I had a blast just hanging out with everyone. I had actually only gone to female tattoo artists but when I saw Josh's work on Instagram, I was impressed with his vision, artistry, and use of color/texture. Even though we spoke on the phone briefly, I was apprehensive of what the experience would be like. Though we are only one session in to a larger piece, Josh and Transformation Gallery have blown me away. When I came in, Josh had tons of incredible ideas building off my general vision for the tattoo. I was so impressed. Then he free-handed the entire piece on my body to ensure it flowed on my skin. Josh was a pleasure to talk to and spend time with- he kept checking in to see how the pain was. AND the gallery itself? Absolutely beautiful.
