I had a problem where my front door wasn't opening correctly. Called the office at 9AM and the issue was resolved by 11:30 AM.

Foundation in my room isn't completely leveled.the center seems to be rising or raised than normal. And the covered parking is just the opposite of sycamore parking. Since we moved in, almost ever appliance has needed repairs. Only reason to moving here was because of my roommate wanted to be able to go fishing every day . Which he has only gone 4 to 5 times throughout the year. Which doesn't make any sense to me. Oh and the upstairs neighbors that smoke marijuana out on the balcony which I have always close my windows so it doesn't come in the apartment. And on top of that, they keep stomping there feet on the floor above us. Granted there are children upstairs but running around and up and down the stairs outside and screaming at odd times of the day is getting annoying at times. Other than that, it's okay I guess. Except for the electric bill is much higher than sycamore was. That's because of the washer and dryer and ceiling fans. Oh and every once in awhile, a pack of coyotes on the other side of the fence capture some poor animal and have a howling match, OMG! So much for peace and quiet around here. But the maintenance crew are awesome or were awesome. Reason for this is that office doesn't seem to be on the same page as the maintenance crew. Anyways, I'll stop complaining or whining. We've been here less than a year and the water has had to been shut off for 6+ hours twice due to leaks. We received less than 24-hr notice and no alternatives for water/bathrooms. Some residents received less than an hour notice to move their vehicles or they wouldn't be able to access them until the next day due to the repairs. The Staff is great and always there when you need them. The maintenance always comes and fixes things that needs fixed. The staff is so friendly and always has a smile on their face when you come into the office to any questions answered! They are so welcoming! As far as the apartment I have had no complaints with work needing done and no noise concerns. If you are looking for a place to call home I do recommend Springhill Apts :). read more

Unfortunately things have taken a terrible turn and I must update my review to warn people. just now NEW I'm so over SpringHill at this point. My husband and I have lived at SpringHill since 2015. We made the mistake of renewing our lease in November because we didn't have another place to go at the time. Now I just want out. We have a major moisture problem that's been getting worse the last two years. To the point that the moisture accumulation on the inside of the windows soaks the windowsills and the front carpet under the front window wall around the front door. Last year my carpet around the front door and windows was so soaked I couldn't keep up with it with a dryer and so it sat soaked for days no matter what we did. Anywhere we struggled with that the carpet has turned almost black in places. The nook in our second bedroom had such bad moisture issues the drywall got soggy and damaged. We constantly told them about this and they'd do little to nothing and make excuses as if this was normal. Then the mold started. On the windows, front door, ceilings, windowsills. It was ridiculous. Several times we'd call and they'd just clean it up and bring in a huge dehumidifier for a few days. But of course it kept coming back. And everytime they just bandaided it. We had maintenance that told us privately that all the buildings had this issue, so the offer to move us to a new unit does nothing in the long run. Plus ever time we had them address it they'd add some kind of measure we were supposed to be doing. Every single time they'd add something new. First it was open the windows every day. Then it was run the fans all the time. Recently I was belittled about my concern for the mold by maintenance and told I need to open my front door that mind you has no screen to keep bugs and such out every day for at least a half an hour. Even in the middle of cold weather or extremely hot weather. Then we we told the lease says we should be cleaning the mold. Mind you I've become very sick the last year and a half constantly and have no life now and docs can't find an obvious cause. Funny how it started to get way worse when the moisture and mold did? When I leave the apartment I start to feel better. Now even my cats are pulling their fur out for no foreseeable reason and look stressed all the time. All signs of mold toxicity. The blackness in the carpet I researched and it looks like mold is under there but of course I can't pull it up to look. We even got a dehumidifier and run it 24/7, and it pulls a very noticeable amount of water out of the air everyday. And now they expect us to clean this mold that releases spores in the air when you clean it ourselves. Sure you can wear a mask but it still sits in the air even when opening windows for a few hours and my chest feels tight for a bit even after all that. I can see cleaning a little here and there but the amount that's here is ridiculous and it's even on places we shouldn't be having to. Like on the CEILING. Since when should you have to do that to keep your home normal and healthy? Nobody I've spoke to in my circle of friends and family has ever heard of being expected to do all this to keep a place safe. Yet we keep trying to keep up with this ever growing issue. We are also paying $1,400 now for a unit we paid $550 for 8 years ago. I know rents go up in time but that's ridiculous and the old and cheap appliances aren't worth it at all. We just want out!!! Will be looking to get advice from legal aide and lawyers because I can't spend another 10 months here with my health deteriorating daily and watching my animals suffer too. I have lots of pictures as well of this problem. SpringHill should let us just go without penalty. This is horrible and detestable treatment SpringHill. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. read more

So unfortunately I had to move back in here fortunately only for a VERY short time. Within one day our toilet was clogged. There's screws sticking out the sides on the kitchen cabinets. Whoever installed the carpet did a poor job because there's a sharp piece poking out I have to cover with a rug. If your maintenance need isn't urgent they can't even give you any sort of time frame as to when they might be able to come; completely up in the air. There's way too many strict and ridiculous policies. I backed my car in once for literally only half a day and got a towing warning sticker on my window. However, there's many vehicles that back in here everyday and are left untouched. There's one vehicle in particular that has backed in so long that a spiderweb is attached to it. Nice. read more

Springhill is not optimal living. They are not quick to resolve issues, and there are always issues. I moved into a unit with a missing shelf, reported it immediately and it took over a year to get it installed. I've been unable to do laundry for over a month due to the dryer not working. I've called the office on multiple occasions and never received a call back. I finally get an answer after calling again to hear that I cant be accommodated in any way. The water has shut off for hours at a time on multiple instances. The staff is friendly as can be and that does count for something, but you are ultimately on your own. Do not move here. read more

If you are looking to live here literally RUN. If I could give this place negative stars I would. I have literally lived here for less then a week and I have already called corporate emailed them multiple times the office here is useless you can never get through to anyone on my move in day I called the office 40+ times not one call answered no one was able to do a walk through of my apartment before I signed the lease within 5 minutes of signing and actually viewing my apartment I was already back in the office to tell them I'm not accepting this unit bc it was FILTHY and nothing looked like it had been touched since the last person that lived here, the office refused to give me another unit also refused to lower prices, the list of Everything that is unsafe or just plain gross in this apartment is too long to list here I have gotten no where with management I am so disappointed the first 2 days I had to remove at least 8 roaches I have already felt harassed by 2 neighbors I can't even shower in my new apartment bc it feels so nasty in the bathrooms even after deep cleaning 2 myself I don't even want to unpack anything else in here all I've unpacked are my clothes and day to day items no kitchen supplies are unpacked or bathrooms bc they are so filthy I don't even want to put my stuff in here, it's even more disappointing after talking to a neighbor on the same floor and they had told me no one has live in this unit for months so it went months untouched maintenance is not friendly at all. Will continue contacting corporate until someone is able to help me. read more

My daughter and grandchildren live there. There is a resident who seems to believe that the parking spaces in front of their apartment belong to them. They have keyed a number of other residents' cars for daring to park in one of these spaces (inculding my daughter's new car) and slashed or punctured the tires of other residents, including the tires of a new resident today. I was sitting in my car in one of those spaces waiting to pick up my grandchild when the resident of that apartment blocked my in with a big, silver pickup truck. When I politely asked the driver to move after my granddaughter got into the car, the driver cursed me out, roared off and then, as I was exiting the lot, came speeding at me full-tilt head on. All have complained to the managment which says they cannot do anything about it. (Same management did not hesitate to cite my daughter because she had a child's toy on her balcony.) I cannot recommend that anyone live in a place where they are terrorized by neighbors and the management will not do a thing to help. read more

Updated Review ***Springhill apartments are bright and sunny. The office management staff Susan and Frances were professional and friendly. Susan was assertive however in a brilliant way. I liked her very much. I dealt with Frances mostly... She's the one who helped me with getting my apartment. I have to say she was a sweetheart always kind and considerate. I'll miss her. The price for My two bedroom apartment at that time was spectacular! 799.00. My apartment wasn't upgraded however it was spacious and cozy with huge walk in closets. Lots of light and SuNShiNe. I only would of appreciated all new carpeting throughout instead of only one bedroom having new rug in it. There were stains and it had a cat smell upon my move in date. The handyman Greg was awesome! He was professional and got the job done correctly and quickly.Whenever I called the management staff to put in a work order it was always completed quickly. I'm giving a four star because what was good outweighs the bad Atleast for me. The neighborhood however was not so safe...Especially if your a single woman who lives alone. Strays, homeless people laying down on the community side walk, people jumping in the dumpster /garbage. I saw a couple of young guys one night walking around peoples cars checking their car doors to see if they were open. It was after 9:00 pm. I also had somethings stolen off my outdoor table on the front patio. I was walking distance to lakeside park but not safe there either. That's where a terrible shooting took place during the time I lived there... January 5, 2018 - November 2018. Lots of shady people at the park. I stopped walking there with my dog eventually because I was afraid. I never went there after dark by myself. I went one evening with a friend to watch the sun go down. We were in a car thankfully. Homeless drug addicts loud and creepy. I never went again. The neighborhood at the time were loud, the people Upstairs from me sounded like a heard of elephants! People pulling in at night with their music so loud! I couldn't believe it! It would be after midnight! I refused to close my bedroom window because I didn't feel I should be deprived of a cool nice breeze at night. Truly no consideration at all from my neighbors there at that time. However I had met some nice neighbors. If they made this apartment complex a gated community and had day and night security guards I think that would help prevent alot of discomfort and provide better safety for that part of town. read more

My boyfriend and I rent an apartment here, and we think it's a really nice place. The new office management is awesome. They are polite, professional, and prompt! I would like to agree with the other poster in regards to Isaiah, the maintenance guy. He is extremely nice, remembers everyone's name, and doesn't stop working on a problem until it is completely resolved to to the renter's liking. Beware. They will try to make you pay for their mistakes. Four days before we moved, we discovered that our unit's water heater had rusted through and had stained the carpet in the 2nd bedroom. We called their emergency line and the awesome maintenance guy came by the same day and replaced it. He told us not to worry about paying for the carpet because it would be replaced anyway, because it was their water heater that had failed. Fast forward a week after we were out. We were sent a bill for carpet replacement. We have no qualms in paying for everything else on the bill, but we called and said we would contest the carpet charges. Then my husband called back, and the first thing out of Francis' mouth was "we will not charge you for the carpet, but we will charge you for steam cleaning." So they replaced that carpet. They blamed it on a pet stain. We had one service animal that did nothing to the carpets. The stain they are talking about is from the old and rusted water heater that they had to replace. Oh, and here's the kicker: Francis said that the maintenance guy that replaced the water heater no longer works for them. Please, everyone who is considering moving here: take pictures before and after you move, like we did. If they do this to you, you can take them to small claims court. Unimpressed and appalled at how dishonest Francis was. Very sad that she really tried to hustle us. Be careful. read more

Resident for almost 2 years and counting. Resident Manager Susan is very professional and will always remember you by name. Susan and all her staff will immediately attend to any needs that my apartment has. The surrounding landscape is always maintained which is helpful to me since I use a walker and cane. It's family oriented and yet senior oriented. Only a place like Springhill Apartments with their wonderful staff can be capable of this attribute. Thank you. I've been wanting to write a review for a while now and I have to say that the two previous reviews took the words right out of my mouth regarding the maintenance. Isaiah really does go above and beyond to make sure the job gets done correctly. I find myself requesting him every time I have an issue because I know he won't give up or do a sloppy job. I've never had to ask him to come back and fix a problem that he has already worked on. He is very respectful and will make you feel like he can be trusted in your home whether you are there or not.
