We drove in from Louisville and arrived late on a Tuesday night. We booked two rooms through a third party app and there was some sort of mix up. The hotel only had us down for one room, not the two we had paid for. The clerk did some checking and resolved the issue quickly, giving us our room keys in a timely manner. Whatever difficulties it might have caused on their end, we were not affected in any way other than a slight delay of only minutes. They handled with professionalism and friendliness. We enjoyed our time in Toronto so much that we decided to stay an extra day. The process to extend our stay was done with ease and at a reasonable rate. We enjoyed a few drinks at the hotel bar, the bartender, (Marion I think?) was friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel was very clean and well appointed. The room and beds were plenty spacious, comfortable and clean. We had a great experience at this location and would recommend it to anyone visiting Toronto. read more

Definitely worth staying at, and has the great Marriott customer service training that you will find across all their different brands. That was very much appreciated, considering that the last place that I stayed at, the customer service was so poor. The suite rooms are very large, and maybe this is common at other hotels now, but I had never seen before in the shower that instead of having those small shampoo bottles, they had large bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner attached to the shower wall, and you just squirted out as much of each as you wanted. Great idea! Our only criticism of the place was that it could be very noisy there in the lobby (especially during breakfast), and we had some noise on our floor past midnight one of our nights there. We did call to get it resolved, and eventually, it quieted down. My wife's theory on this (and I agree) is that because the rooms are suites, a number of families book it, and they all sleep together in the same room to save money, because they're so large. I'm not sure what can be done about this, but it is something to keep in mind. It wouldn't have deterred us from staying there, but again, it is something to consider. read more

The hotel is clean. However, bring some Fabreez as the carpets and rooms have an odd slightly musty order. Housekeeping is good, front desk and staff are friendly. Close to Wonderland, but the hotel is in a business park. Walmart is a close walk. Room is clean, air and heat work. Odd though. The shower and toilet are in different rooms. The toilet is right at the foot of the bed, so anyone going will wake you up. Bodily sounds carry. Shower is strong with body nozzles as well. Overall a decent stay, 6/10 read more

Newer hotel in an up and coming suburb of Toronto. Lots of high rise housing going up nearby and shopping and restaurants are open and being built out. Hotel staff is friendly and the lobby is open and inviting. There is a bar/restaurant area in the lobby but did not stop for dinner there. A few restaurants are walking distance and many others a short ride away. Room is clean and as expected. The AC unit could not get the room as cool as I would prefer and the bed linens were a bit scratchy. Bath towels were super soft and absorbent. WiFi is painfully slow making it a bit difficult to work but doable. The complementary breakfast is exceptional. Plenty of options of eggs, potatoes, sausage, yogurt , cereal, breads, etc. The fruit was fresh and delicious. Meeting space, gym and pool also onsite. Nice clean hotel that I will include in my options for my next visit. read more

I travel for work multiple times per month in North America and I am a fan of all Marriott's and especially SpringHill Suites. This is by far the nicest SpringHill Suites I have been to. The hotel is convenient to Richmond Hill where there are multiple restaurants, shopping options and close to all major roadways to get wherever you want to go in Toronto. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast and has a restaurant where the food and service is exceptional. I have a new client in Toronto and this will be my choice of hotels moving forward when in town. I have been thrilled with the room, service and amenities. I didn't actually stay at the hotel but we used the a conference room and their services for 3 days. The hotel is clean and the lobby was amazing for people to feel relaxed and come down to have a seat. The service was very good and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable in terms of vegan, halal and vegetarian options. The food came on time and things were stocked up frequently. All the meals were very good, tasty and they also provided halal chicken as well as vegan option. The server knew when to come for cleaning and stocking with least instructions. The lobby and washrooms were very clean. The parking is free at this location. Some of my coworkers coming out of town stay at the hotel and stated the rooms were quite good as well. read more

Many good experiences, and one not-so-pleasant, albeit non-personal experience. Nice classy hotel. I'm always here for business so it's a good choice for my group whenever we need to come. Good for families, it's close to some amusement park I've heard, and every time i've stayed here it's been very crowded and our entire group has never all been able to book this hotel whenever we're out in this area. The rooms are pretty nice and well-designed. The two queen suite is pretty sizable and good for a big family, even the closet is big, not many hotels can boast that they have an actual walk-in, hehe. There is an in-house restaurant and bar, which provides a solution if you're stuck at the hotel working late or want a couple drinks. It's decently crowded so the food can't be too bad either. Like I mentioned, I like the hotel, and service-wise, I've never run into any issues, but I gotta mark a place down for any bad experience, and I recently encountered one. As I mentioned earlier, I'm always here for business and that means I'm typically with large groups. Well one of the more recent times we came here, we had to gather our group together in order to wrap up our day and prep for our next day while we were here. So that means there were a few of us gathered up in the lobby. It wasn't anything different than your usual busy lobby, but I was with some "out of country-ers" who maybe weren't that well-versed when standing in the walkway, and to most people it isn't an issue. But it seemed to be an issue with one of the bartenders that were working that day. I watched her walk by several times and huff and puff and could tell she was very annoyed. But rather than say anything, she decided to loudly complain to her coworkers and other patrons at the bar about how rude this group was being. It is unfortunate that she didn't bother to understand that they may not even know they are doing anything wrong, but her attitude really just rubbed me the wrong way. I wanted to mention something but was distracted at the time and eventuallywe had to conlclude our meeting and get everyone to dinner. All other staff encounters have been great and no other complaints than that one. But it was enough to make a mark on the rating...sorry. read more

In spite of best efforts by any hotel, things sometimes go awry - how these matters are handled is what can set them apart. On our most recent stay a situation occurred that the hotel needed to address. While we had some initial communication issues, we are satisfied that the hotel addressed the policies and procedures with their team, and worked to resolve our own experience (at the hands of a third-party, which could have happened anywhere). This hotel is close to Canada's Wonderland and Vaughan Mills shopping centre (under ten minute drive), and has a fantastic breakfast bar with the option of "to go" available which was a nice touch during COVID as we re-washed fruit in the hotel room. Fridges were in the room, which kept our drinks cold before long park days. Beds were comfortable, and our request for extra towels appreciated as we opted not to request room make up between nights. There is a Walmart within walking distance, which was helpful for some in-room snack options. Elevator service is a little slow, which normally wouldn't bother us as we prefer to use stairs when not carrying luggage - at this hotel the stairwell leads to outside - great for an emergency, but if you are going for breakfast for example, once outside you must walk to the front to re-enter the building. read more

We went to bed late the night we checked in. As our kids had already gone to bed, the lights were off. Upon awakening the next morning, my husband found blood on the sheets. We both checked to make sure it hadn't come from us. Neither of us had any scratches, cuts, open wounds, pimples (that manager suggested such) that could be the source of the blood. More to the point, it was dry.  We spoke with the manager who had the hotel staff started an investigation. At that point, I was fairly satisfied.  Fast forward to the next day, I speak with the manager again and I'm told the fault wasn't on their end. I asked, "So are you saying it's *my* fault?" He was very careful not to say that, but kept reiterating that the hotel staff wasn't to blame. I very bluntly told him that if he insisted his staff wasn't responsible, then he was pretty much saying I was. It was, to be honest, flat-out insulting. They offered 25% of the total bill but after the discomfort we faced upon learning we'd slept on a bed with blood from a previous customer, then having the issue compounded by the manager who left me with no choice but to assume that he believed we were either lying or too stupid to know if we had any open wounds on us, 25% was far from adequate. I did not expect the entire trip to be comped, but I wanted far more than 25% and his insulting suggestions. I've reached out to Marriott's corporate customer service via the website and hope to hear something a bit more customer-friendly. Just be wary if you choose to stay here. Check your bed BEFORE going to sleep and make sure you take photos. read more

I normally stay at Hilton properties but decided to try the Springhill Suite. I'll never do that again. It might be okay for a vacation, but not for business travel. Nice rooms, nice service at the front desk. HORRIBLE WIFI. About every 10 minutes it drops and forces you to log on again. Very frustrating! I can't get any work done. Also, the clock in my room was set 20 minutes late. Close enough that you THINK it is right, but it still made me late for work. read more

This hotel was just ok. I had cockroaches in my shower that kept popping up. Having to pay for parking didn't help much either. I haven't been in a hotel where I pay more and pay for parking. Especially with the roaches. They were cute, but I had to flush them down the drain before I took my shower. Needless to say regardless of my friends recommendation. I won't come back. I'll go back to my usual Best Western. Sorry . I didn't like the design of the separate toilet either. Maybe it's just too modern for me. However, don't give up on this place for me. There were others who really enjoy their stays here and are regulars. So 2.5 stars for me. Sorry guys read more

I love the the lobby, the rooms are nice and clean, we always stay in a suite. I don't like the fact Shower and toilet are separate, but in a way it's convenient when you have more people in the room. Beds are comfortable, and view is great. Breakfast is also continental, compare to other marriot branches this Springhill is one of the best, especially when you are with family. The lobby can easily have 10 to 12 adults sitting in a conversation with each other, and still be out of the way of others. This place is close to everything shopping entertaining, wonderland, Toronto, Mississauga, Markham. I love the fact we are next to a Highway. It's worth every penny!!! read more

I was really impressed and if you are in the area, definitely stay here. I would give it 5 stars but it wasn't perfect. Really like the location and the room. Its modern and comfortable. The lounge area seemed bustling and lots of people were downstairs when we arrived at 10 p.m. There is plenty of hot water and the sheets are clean and soft. Now on to the reason I gave this hotel 3 stars and not 5. We made our reservation for one night then called back and extended it to two nights. In most hotels such an exercise is seamless and there is no disruption in service. At least in most Canadian hotels. Upon check in my husband was told our keys wouldn't work after 12 p.m. the next day and we would need new keys. Odd and inconvenient but hey that's life. We received a bill just after 4 a.m. which again was odd because are staying two nights. But I went back to sleep and didn't think anything of it. As I am taking a vacation day while my husband goes to a conference I left the do not distribute sign on and decided to sleep til noon or later because I could. Wish that would have happened. House keeping knocked twice despite the sign. Said they'd come back. Whatever I went back to sleep. Then again this time a lady in a suit who I'm guessing is some kind of manager for maintenance asking me to call the front desk despite me telling her our reservation had been changed to two nights. I called as requested the front desk woman seems extremely overrun and asked if there was some kind of communication breakdown. She said she would check me out and back in again. Which again doesn't make sense because we extended our stay. What on earth is going on at Spring Hill Suites that something as simply as a reservation change could cause such fuss? I like Marriott brand but I'm questioning if I should come to this hotel again. And to add insult to injury we were supposed to get a king-sized suite with a tub. If you're looking for a nice, tidy and spacious suite to stay in then it is going to be hard to beat this hotel. The service at the front desk was quick and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable, bed was great! As well as the bathroom and showers. We had the Buffett breakfast which was complimentary, as was the wifi and parking. Was expecting more. The suites are not that big, the air condition unit is "motel style" unit on the wall that didn't work properly. Was either too cold or too hot. The bed was uncomfortable. The free breakfast was good. This hotel is more of a budget type hotel that is overpriced. read more

Brand new Springhill Suites and Marriott did a fantastic job. Everything I experienced at this hotel was fantastic. The lobby is stylish and well appointed with a bar. The room was nicely done, far outdoing much more expensive hotels in style and amenitites. Room had bathroom in two seperate rooms (one for toilet and sink, another with shower and sink) as well as the usual suite options (but more well done) such as couch, seperate office area, fridge, etc. Front desk service was great. Would I stay here again? Yes provided they keep everything up including the great service. read more

This is a great property. The rooms are very modern and comfortable. I enjoyed my and would stay. It's about 30 mins outside Toronto. There is free parking, free wifi and the staff is friendly. The property is very clean. I had no complaints. It's near an IKEA which is one of my favorite stores. read more

Trendy, modern suites. Well thought out layout and beds were the most comfortable out of any hotels at this price point. Room was spotless and even though there were some loud guests across the hall we couldn't hear them with the door closed. stayed here march 2014. The hotel is stylish. The room was very nice. I liked the couch and separate office area. The separate shower room and toilet room was a very nice touch. The bed was comfy. Everything was clean. The continental breakfast needs a little work...the flow of how it is set up has you walking back and forth. The coffee was terrible (but I am fussy with coffee) the oatmeal was barely warm (I realize it is something that is hard to keep hot without turning into glue) Would like to see almond milk or soya milk offered. read more

Very good service, the restaurant had ok food.. but I had better hotel food. I like the suites.. there nice, but the reason for the 3 stars is because I felt the rooms were hospital'ish.. loo.. again I've been to 5 star hotels, so I know how a 4-5 star room should look like and this just wasn't it for me.
