I was a Titanium Elite awards member. I own my own trucking company. I was in town for a delivery. So I decided to come here and wait to see if I was leaving or staying the night there. I was sitting down for about and hour and a half then was approached by an older lady that was rude and decided to tell me to leave at that point it became more of a race issue now. I showed her my Marriott app and told her I've also worked for Marriott before over 8 years. The way I was treated was unacceptable and I totally forgot to reach out to corporate about this situation.... I travel all around the USA and stop to Marriott to use my computer, bar , restroom and/or safety stop an this the only Marriott out of my time being a bonvoy member that i was treated so poorly and felt like unappreciated. read more

Let me see this was a traveling choice. But it was a great choice. When we checked in they were finishing the install of the new carpet. Under construction but the outside is familiar and up to date. Room was nice and clean. 2 TV's in the single king room, one in lounging area and other in bedroom separated by the desk and frosted glass pane's. Staff is awesome and efficient. I checked in on my phone with The Bonvoy app 24 hours before arrival. Special requests and preferences can be pre arranged. The area is about 5 blocks from the canal park and Main Street. Very nice, clean hotel with friendly staff! No idea where any of the negative comments are coming from. Rooms are a great size, ours was double beds, bedding fresh and clean. Small living room area with couch, tv and desk. Nice big mirror on wall. Bathroom nice size and very clean. Great water pressure. Brand new carpet throughout rooms and halls. This hotel and the Towne Place next door are owned by same owners. The Marriott Courtyard across the way is corporate. Nice easy walk to Riverwalk with many food choices. read more

This Springhill Suites is a new build and is a wonderful property! The best part is the front desk employee Alicia who was so welcoming and always so helpful and friendly. I came here on a work trip and my co worker and I would stand in the lobby wondering where to go for dinner. The first night, Alicia apologized for eavesdropping but wanted to give her recommendations after we were unable to decide. She didn't steer us wrong. Every night when we got back from dinner, she would ask how it was. I think she emulates exactly what hospitality is and I hope that management will promote her and have her train new hires! My room was spacious and clean. I had a mini fridge and microwave in my room so it was great for my leftovers from dinner. The hotel location is super quiet so it allowed for a good night's sleep. The outdoor patio is really spacious and the patio furniture under the gazebo is really comfortable. The pool is on the smaller side, which if you're a swimmer, you're doing really short laps, but it's large enough to have your children play in it to wear them out. The hot tub was decently sized and could probably fit 10 people. read more

One Night in Pueblo Earlier this year I was passing through the area and decided after a long drive from Albuquerque to stop and stay in Pueblo. Since it was winter a snowstorm had followed me all the way from Taos. I needed a place to stay near the RiverWalk as I wanted to go to Bru's Alehouse since many restaurants were closed on a Sunday night. I picked a great hotel as it was bright newer and very clean. I booked a King Room through my Bonvoy app and got a great deal on my room. The King Suite I stayed in had two sections, one where the bed is and an open wall that leads to the main area with a couch, desk and TV. The Actual size of the room wasn't huge but for one night it didn't matter, and typically if I'm in an area for a few days, I get a larger room. No problems here, as my room was big enough to move around and get in a ROMWOD session and plugin to use my laptop. The Wifi signal was good and I had no issues connecting. My bathroom was large enough and was very clean. The Fitness Center was a good size with ample cardio machines, free weights, and a workout station. Overall, great service, nice room, good fitness center, and my breakfast had many options. I would stay here again. read more

I don't like to leave reviews like this. The beds were clean and the second room had a clean bathroom. We were in room 317 and the toilet was clogged. That night I told someone. The 2nd day I asked where was the person to fix the toilet. They sent someone to room 315 (wrong room). So the 2nd day the guy came & left Rid X all over the sink and the floor. I cleaned up. The next morning the toilet was still clogged with RID X coming up. Then (the 3rd day) we finally got another room 4 hours later. If you want premade breakfast that is heated up or cold cereal then go for it. The waffles were the only REAL HOT food, you make them yourself. The hallways are terrible, wallpaper and baseboard missing, trash on the outside of the door because housekeeping only comes by on certain days. Upon check out STEVE was not only rude but could not answer any questions about my bill. When we left my grandson realized he left something behind. Yes he is young. I called STEVE, and he would not let me speak and hung up on me twice. At the end of the 2nd conversation he did ask for my name and number. NO ONE called me back. So I called that evening and JEREMY answered he could not find it. So I asked him if he could ask the housekeeper, because she would know. He immediately went to "My housekeepers are not stealers." and hung up the phone. I did not say they were. I would stay at the LaQuinta Inn. They are nice, have a good breakfast, clean rooms, clean hotel all around and will do anything for you. read more

This was one of the worst experiences I've had in a Hotel. There was a loud, low frequency noise that I complained about and asked for another room. They refused saying they were full and had no available rooms, but that they were aware of the problem and would send maintenance. The first night my wife and I got no sleep because of the noise and believed that "maintenance" would fix the problem, but no, it was equally bad the second night. Marriott has failed since to respond or even apologize for the miserable conditions or for their unacceptable lack of response. read more

The entrance to the property is lovely. The front lobby is beautiful they offer free breakfast from 6 to 9, they have a 24 hour fitness facility all that stuff is great. However, the front desk staff is not really skilled, mind you I checked in at night to know how to treat guests I would say the service was adequate kind of the service I think I would get an a Motel 6 not anything that I've come to expect as a aMarriott standard. I am aware that this is a Springhill suites and it's not a high-end Marriott however, guess expect a certain level of treatment at any Marriott property. Arrived late last night and the desk associate was waiting for us. She quickly confirmed my credit card and ID then handed me my room keys and offered us bottled water. The room was good and clean. The air was perfect when we got in the room. I was impressed with the lobby and breakfast area. Plenty of bright outside light and the food area was well organized. There is construction in the area and it was no issue to navigate and plenty of parking in the area. I would easily return to this location in the future. read more

disclosure: I worked for a marriott property in Texas nearly a decade ago while in college so I see hotel stays a little differently than most, I guess. We stayed here on our way home after a short trip down to Alamosa/The Sand Dunes on a Saturday. Since we arrived late (10pm ish) the front desk service was quick enough...I was a little disappointed he didn't give parking or elevator instructions but a minor detail. Also, the bar in the lobby was getting ready to shut down (I'm guessing at 11 but the clerk didn't say when exactly)... what kind of hotel bar closes at 11?! The room itself was spacious! Big king bed, mini living room, and little fridge/microwave area... if we were staying a few days longer this would've been perfect. The bathroom was nice- though my biggest complaint is that the towels were basically set up everywhere... a little consistency would be better. Also, an adapter for newer iPhones would've been fantastic for the doc but as mentioned by the other reviewers there is a cool little media kit where you can plug in a USB... Knocked this place down to 4 stars based on the service... was good but not great. I'm not too picky about hotels, & after working in the industry from front desk to trainer, I know people can expect wayyyyy too much from a low-mid budget hotel (first world problems!). based on some of the Yelp "issues", this must be a franchised Marriott (another giveaway: the odd paper No Smoking disclosure that the make you sign (I think my former employer had us discontinue this practice back in 2004/05 when all Marriotts became nonsmoking...)). In summary, As others suggested, I would hold out for a hotel room in Colorado springs if you can. We stayed here on our way to the Great sand dunes. We had a suite with two queens and sleeper sofa. The room was spacious, but the couch had stains all over it and didn't have any pillows. We requested pillows for the couch for our kids to sleep on and they told us COVID rules don't allow them to give us pillows? The pool was nice enough although the hot tub was closed. The breakfast was sub par and the staff was not overly friendly. The a/c in our room was also subpar and could not keep the room cold. BEWARE, the hotel is in a rough part of town. We had 4 of our kids bikes locked on a bike rack on our vehicle. All the bikes were stolen overnight and the rack was cut. The policeman that came to file the report basically laughed at us because this is typical for Pueblo. I had no idea. There are no security cameras, no signs advising you of taking your items, and no one at the hotel gave any indication of the surrounding area. My advice, as others have suggested, would be to look elsewhere. This hotel did not live up to our standards of a Springhill suites at over $200 a night. read more

Once again, I've scaled back my review. I started last year with 5 stars, then went to 4 a few months ago, now I am down to three. Good: Rooms are fairly clean and beds are comfortable. The living room area is conveniently split from the bedroom area, so you don't wake other people in the room who may sleep in. Comfortable work area. The bad: Toilet seat had a chunk taken out of it. Hallway needed some cleaning. Work crews in the hallway on the 4th floor (perhaps they are improving some of the "issues"). Area where coffee pot and microwave is was banged up / scraped and fridge was unplugged, so I had to pull it out and plug it in. Pool area needs more seating. Overall, good, but needs a bit more TLC. I will likely look for stay elsewhere, next time I am in Pueblo. read more

Just not worth the time or hassle! Seems like this place is always under construction. And if you're not there before 4 o'clock, good luck finding somewhere to park onsite within a half a mile. The staff lack any sense of customer service or have the slightest clue as to what basic hotel hospitality is! Moreover, the decor is dated and resembles that of a modern day retirement center. If your looking for the hotel fitness center, it has one -with the equipment it likely opened with, treadmills are in dated with error codes and loose belts that cause the belts to slip and loose your balance, meanwhile cycle and elliptical machines are nothing more than clunking and banging machines with each revolution of the pedal. It's borderline rude to even use the damn things while anyone else is working out because of the distraction. There's no onsite restaurant, but there is a bar...well it looks like one, albeit I've never seen more than a few people gathered at anyone time. The breakfast...i'll just say it has the taste, texture and quality of what you'd find in an MRE (that's a military issue Meal Ready to Eat) -you get the picture. If by chance any hotel management or stakeholders read this...I can only recommend an independent and critical review of the property be considered, namely to address the hospitality and quality shortcomings. I only recently switched over to the Marriott brand, but this is enough for me to go right back to Hilton. Don't waste your money or time and find one of many other reputable hotel accommodations in the area that have it figured out. read more

Traveling for work an pleasure every week, I experience a lot of great customer service and never have I had such poor customer service than my experience here. Billy the GM is a robot with a crude attitude. I understand rules and regulations however in an emergency situation there should be exceptions. All I needed to do was change the date of the reservation and instead they just charged me for a room I was under no way able to stay at. As a Marriott rewards member and a loyal customer to them, I will say they were very helpful in their main customer service department, but couldn't get the ownership and manager of this location to budge on the reservation. I highly recommend NO ONE stay here! All hotels have about the same offerings, but poor customer service and complete bitchiness is not okay and not worth staying anywhere. We stayed here the night after a huge soccer team was at the hotel. The pool and hot tub were disgusting and cloudy. The hotels solution was pouring so much chlorine in the pool to "clean it" which resulted in us getting a chlorine chemical burn. I wish I had read the other Yelp reviews before booking this hotel. It is 3:30am, and I am up typing this review because we cannot sleep. Other Yelp reviewers mentioned the A/C does not work--well the heat does not either! They seem to have serious *serious* HVAC problems here. We even tried setting the unit to "off", but it keeps cycling on/off every few minutes, blowing 12° air from outside into our room. I have never (until now) seen an air conditioning / heater unit that was impossible to turn off. We switched rooms, to find that while the heat works better, it is extremely loud. In fact, I just found an app to measure decibels (yes, sadly, at 3:30am), and it's a constant 54 dB. This place is terrible, and does the Marriott brand no favors. read more

This is the worst Marriott property that I can remember. The sofa in our room was stained (very nasty) as was the carpet. The room smelled musty. This is NOT a new location as I saw stated in a previous review. It was built in 2008 and hasn't been renovated since being built. I'm a Lifetime Titanium Elite member with Marriott so I've stayed in many of their properties over the past 20 years. The staff was friendly and their management discounted part of our room charge due to my complaints directly to Marriott. I appreciate their attention, but would not recommend staying at this location until it's fully renovated. Also, the area surrounding the property didn't provide a sense of safety. read more

Not a bad property - most of the time I book rooms for me and my family I like the suites. This property suffers like most nowadays from apparent short staffing as there are some issues with cleanliness throughout the property including my rooms. I was granted adjoining rooms (which I asked for) and am grateful for that. The staff has been super helpful, which is why there are three stars. My hot water took 15 minutes to warm up and only lasted approximately 3. There was long black hairs in the shower. The pool area had 2 towels left and the gym had 3 at 9pm, which is probably normal but I had 3 kids that needed towels at the pool. The girls helped get regular room towels after a while, which was great. My main beef with this property is with the ownership/management. My wife went down to grab some waters and was only given 2 after much resistance from the staff based on their "property policy". I make it a point to exclusively book with Marriott properties so I can enjoy the perks of titanium elite. (I'd be ambassador if it weren't for the $15k requirement). The least this hotel could do is provide 2 waters per person. It's a small thing but it is a huge factor for me. read more

Having stayed in far too many hotels in Pueblo to list, this one wins hands down. The hotel is very modern and clean, has a spacious lobby, bar (nightly drink specials), and dining area, 24 hr fitness center that has good treadmills, is well-lit, and not scary like a dungeon (take note other hotels), clean indoor pool and hot tub, and lovely rooms. Rooms have mini fridge and microwave, the bathrooms have modern sinks and soaking tubs, and the room is split in two by a partition between the "living room" and "bedroom". iPod player, 2 flat screens, and a desk area, as well as sofa and love seat. I stayed here for a week and will never stay elsewhere in Pueblo again. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel is downtown so within walking distance of the river walk and non-chain restaurants. Also, there is a liquor store right across the street. The Marriott Courtyard is across the street, and while nice, does not have the complimentary breakfast and some of the other room amenities that Springhill does. The breakfast is ok, not great, but all the other amenities make up for it. read more

I have been to this hotel several times but unfortunately this may have been my last....everything has been reported to the hotel...I spoke to 2 different front desk ladies as well as filling out a comment card, and even though I was assured I would hear from the owner on Monday....I still have had no contact since I left on Sunday. Filthy is what it was. Mildew in the pool and hot tub, dirty Q-tip found in the bathroom, half drank bottle of water between the bed and the wall. Never trust the exterior photos on the official website. Go to Google street maps to see what the neighborhood really looks like. Neighborhood was super-sketchy. Liquor store directly across the street with abandoned ancient brick building where sketchy people hung out. The parking lot is mostly gravel and mud. I would expect a Marriott property to at least have a completely paved parking lot and some landscaping, possibly a short wall around the property considering the neighborhood. Hotel was under construction when we stayed in July 2015. Layout of suite was very odd. It looked as if they took two rooms, and cut an entrance between them and drywalled the arch. Noisy, elevators out of service, room did not smell fresh, air conditioner inoperable. Couldn't wait to leave this place and be back on our road trip. Front desk staff was useless. We are Marriott members and stay 90% of the time in Marriott's and we normally love Springhill Suites. Not this one. read more

Not impressive. I stay at Marriott's often but this is the first time staying here. The walls/ceilings are very thin so you can hear your neighbor walking, coughing, flushing the toilet. My room has a spot where the ceiling is coming down, slight mold in the shower grout tiles, a cracked tile on the bathroom floor and a phone that is mysteriously missing several buttons. Drab interior and bathroom needs upgrading. Worst breakfast buffet I've seen in a long time. Food looked old, Canadian bacon swimming in hot water, blah! read more

The sink water smells like a toilet .its really repulsive .maybe it's the time of year ? Also I'm in room 331 by the elevator and when I first arrived the hallway smelled like urine.I'm not noticing it now so it may have gone away or else I'm used to it For the price this was a great deal . I called the hotel directly to reserve the room it was $113 with AAA and $101 with AARP. Take into account you probably save $10 with the free breakfast it's a great deal . Don't let the nice architecture and large modern lobby fool you.... this place is not great. First, the parking lot is dirt - not even gravel, just dirt. That should be a sure sign of what your getting into. The neighborhood is not the greatest, with a downtown liquor store across the street. We arrive to find the one and only front desk clerk hopping. He was working hard and I appreciated that, but the place was obviously understaffed and it took awhile to check in. We got to our nice, spacious room and it was hot with the AC off on the 4th floor on a 100* day. So we turned down the AC and went down to the pool. I stopped by the front desk to ask the employee to send the pizza guy back to the pool area and there was a guest there complaining about the AC. The pool room was beyond hot. It could not have been at safe room temp - with the hot day and hot tub running, it had to be over 100* in the room. We order pizza and decided to eat outside on their large patio. It was 95* out and felt great after the ridiculously hot pool room. There were many tables.... and six chairs?! Four of which were occupied by smokers with two cases of beer at their sides and two were broken. So we dragged a table over to the outdoor couch to find that it was disgusting and there were cigarette butts everywhere. When we were done, we went back to the room to find it was even hotter than before. I checked the AC and the small, old unit was barely blowing lukewarm air in the large room. I called to the front desk, but the one and only employee was on another floor doing something else, and I would have to wait. After a half hour without hearing from anyone, I went down to the front desk and had to wait for the one and only employee to check in the line of guests. It took an HOUR just to get a new room. I was moving kids and luggage at 9pm....fun, fun and it took two new rooms to get one with a working AC. The front desk guy was so apologetic, it was obvious that there is a known AC problem. This place is pretty, with large modern rooms, but it is run like a crappy motel and it shows quickly! Marriott - you need new management here! read more

Staff could have cared less... I was told by one staff member That I was not the first guest this had happened too & that I would not be the last.... If you value your safety & your possessions. Inside the room is amazing. The room I stayed in had 2 queen size beds separated by a night stand, and a flat screen HDTV. It had cable, and it had a very nice iHome alarm clock. You can plugin an iPad or iPhone or iPod to the dock and charge it and also listen to music with the built in speakers or watch movies. It had a climate control central air for the room which worked beautifully whether I wanted heat or AC. The best part, there was a living room area with ANOTHER HDTV and a couch that pulls out into a bed. It wasn't the most comfy bed, but it's better than sleeping on "just a couch". The two main beds were VERY comfortable. The pillows , the blankets, the sheets were top of the line. Then there was a coffee machine, a mini fridge with 12oz can holders for soda and such. There was an amazing bathroom with a big bath tub and a counter top far back enough you can set an iPad or laptop on it and watch netflix while taking a relaxing bath. They also provide a desk with an Ethernet cable to plug a laptop or gaming console directly into the network, and of course FREE wifi all throughout the hotel. One really cool feature was they had a USB charge port built in. So if you have a USB charger for your iphone or something but you forgot the wall block, don't fret they got you covered! Plus the TVs had a couple USB ports that also work as charging ports when the tv is on so WIN! The indoor pool is heated and is AMAZING. It starts at 3/12 ft and finishes up at 5ft in the deep end. It's PERFECT size for up to 10-15 people to comfortably swim.. And the best part is there is an AMAZING hot tub right next to the pool so mom and dad can relax in there and watch the kids swimming. They have a lifesaver floatie for little kids or to use as intended, save someone from drowning. They should offer more of these. 3 would be perfect, *hint hint* This hotel is probably my favorite in Pueblo. The room we stayed in was very clean. The breakfast was free and amazing! (Eggs, toast, sausage, ham, cereal, milk, juice, potatoes/tater tots, etc) The swimming pool is only open til 10 which is a bummer for me, and if they change that to all night this will be 5 stars. It opens up @ 6am which is awesome. But again, there is NO lifeguard on duty at all so why close @ 10? I don't get it but ok. The halls are kept clean, and there are ice machines on every floor. You have a beautiful view of downtown Pueblo from inside your room. The staff was all very friendly, and quick to respond to issues. The biggest issue was checking in. My sister used her card to pay for the room via orbitz and said "I can't make it my brother is checking in does he need the card?" Orbitz said NO and that I only needed my ID and the card is on file. When I showed up with lots of luggage and 5 kids, we had to sit in the lobby for over an hour while they got it situated. However, the staff allowed an exception until my sister could arrive with the card the next day or even let her send an email or fax authorization. They should allow over the phone authorization for incidentals not everyone can get to the hotel in person. What if I was stranded in another state with all my personal belongings stolen and a family member books the room with THEIR card from 1,000 miles away?? That is a BIG issue but I'm sure all hotels operate this way. I know people are concerned about their cards being stolen and that's why you require it, but I gave you an ID and if the card was stolen it wouldn't make much difference if I showed it to you in person you still would have let me sign even if the card was in another name.. Makes NO sense! Overall, you'll be hard pressed to find a better value in Pueblo. I will recommend this place to friends and family and I will use this place for birthday parties in the future.. The kids love to swim and pizza can be delivered right to your room of course. If you need to leave for pop the location is so ideal your downtown there is a Loaf N Jug (a gas station/convenience store) that is open 24 hours right across the street and a Carls JR also open 24hours for those late night munchies. What looked like a new hotel was a huge disappointment. After one night we moved across the street to the Courtyard. The bed was lumpy and "folded"and the room temperature wasn't easy to make comfortable. The real problem for me was the shower that was extremely hot or cold. No in-between. Seriously not sure if we got a dud room, but I would suggest a stay across the street at the Courtyard. This is s first 1 star we've given any Marriott. read more
