Great environment, helpful instructors and students. The school gives you the impression of a family. Give us it a try young and old.

GM was overall good with kids. However, after enrolling my daughter into his 4 week program, I was…read morenotified that it was full. A week later I was contacted and notified that the program was now open to my daughter. Due to this, my daughter was left out of earning certain awards. Upon inquiring about the 6 month program, GM was pushy about me signing up and paying then and there. Mind you, I was intending to pay the full $800 upfront, but wanted to be certain my 7 year old absolutely wanted to do this. Also mind you, that I'm currently 2 days away from my delivery due date, and just wanted to get home. All said and done....do soccer, basketball, or fencing for the kids. It teaches much better physical discipline and team building.

I see my kids continuing to learn respect for themselves and others as well as growing in self discipline. I also see them learning self defense and appreciate the gentle way they are encouraged to practice what they learn. They have extra classes (included in cost of classes) to help train when a belt test is coming up or when they are practicing for tournament. I truly believe the masters here have my children's best interest in mind with everything they teach and encourage my children in. I especially love the report cards they have for younger children. It helped give my children focus in doing well at home (with respect towards family and parents) as well as doing their chores and going above and beyond in the little things everyday. Joining USTC - Briargate has been one of the best investments in my children's lives and I have not regretted one moment of it!!

We have enjoyed birthday parties, camps, and competitions at our school, in addition to the multitude of classes provided for us to take. Due to a back condition, I am not able to ride bikes, ski, snowboard, or participate in other activities that my son enjoys. Taekwondo allows me to train at my own pace and within my own limits side-by-side with my son, giving us a common activity we can enjoy together. My husband began once he recovered from a knee injury as a means to strengthen his knee and get back into shape. It has helped him improve his flexibility and focus as well. As a petite woman, I really appreciate the self defense skills I am learning as well as the skills the trained faculty is teaching my son when it comes to self defense and how to deal with bullies. In this day and age, the techniques and training we receive are priceless. The entire staff and faculty at the US Taekwondo Center are courteous, respectful, and welcoming of everyone who enters the school. They seek to bring out the best in each of us while reinforcing through positive encouragement tenets important to how we are raising our son: courtesy, respect, discipline, focus, and indomitable spirit. I have watched my son transform into a respectful young man who has focus, whether in school or playing sports, who always seeks to do his best. I believe it has been his experience with Taekwondo that has helped shape his demeanor and character. I am so thankful that my son attended a birthday party two years ago...it has been a life changer for our family.
