For anyone who has been to their branches on Dawson or Mount street, the food is pretty much the exact same; delicious healthy salads, customisable salad bowels with a variety of ingredients from falafel, quinoa and hummus to butternut squash, salad vegetables, meat and grains. For the custom bowel, you can choose a leafy base (spinach, kale etc), 2 vegetables, 1 grain (e.g. brown rice, quinoa), 1 protein (chicken, falafel, salmon etc) and a dressing for €8.95, which is what I usually do and find the price pretty good. They also have their own signature salads and wraps as well, plus a daily soup and 3Fe coffee! On their first day, they gave a free veggie juice of your choice, and I went for the supergreen one which was pretty good. Sprout just screams super healthy with all the green everywhere, but it's also good quality and very tasty. The inside of the cafe is very clean and organised, the seating is not a lot but I heard that they plan on expanding it soon. They also do take away. The staff are very nice and efficient with the queues, and the prices are fairly reasonable; most things being less that €10. There is a loyalty card where every 10th salad is free! Overall: A salad lover's dream! Food: 5/5 Seating: 3.5/5 Variety: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Price: Reasonable

The vibe of Mackenzie's is elevated cocktail lounge. It has great lighting, modern furnishings and stellar views of the canal. The menus are eclectic but consistent, and change for each meal period and each day. We popped in right as the change over from lunch to dinner was happening, which was all good, as we grabbed the Clay Oven Flatbread and a round of cocktails...well a pint of Guinness for me, but the partner went with the Amour Francais, which was a non-alcoholic drink, but he added a bourbon. We bellied up to the bar and the service was solid. Prices were a bit higher than we had paid in other spots around Dublin. Not wildly expensive, but definitely noticeable. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Mackenzie's.

Instead we got the "a la carte" and "pre-show" menus... I am gluten and dairy free due to intolerances and my choice of restaurant is highly predicated on a selection on the menu I've made before ever entering the restaurant. So I had to scramble to find something else I could eat. Service was another issue. Wait staff made few visits to our table (and other tables in the area). We ran out of water and didn't get it replaced until we asked. Food took ~45min to make it to our table. When it arrived, it was nothing special. I had a salad with very light dressing and a GF pizza with vegan cheese. I only selected the GF pizza after ordering a burger with no bun and being told they had run out of burgers. Someone else in my party received a tiramisu that would make an Italian cry as what should be an aesthetic dessert was sloppy at best. Ambiance was nice though. Restaurant was beautifully decorated and has an upscale vibe. We had plenty of time to stare at the decor...
