All day breakfast menu on Saturdays
    Sharon S.

FOOD Healthy, tasty, generous portioned and great value. You order by picking a meat, then 2 salad options and can top it with a choose of 3 things, e.g. seeds, nuts, etc. I've tried many of their options and all impress, my fave is the middle eastern chicken! They do offer a breakfast menu but for me, this hasn't really impressed, over priced and not very flavoursome... For me, it's all about their main salad menu. SERVICE/STAFF Prompt and efficient, great for a quick grab. There's not much seating inside so often I'm ordering to go however they do have some outdoor seating, so when the summer permits you've better chance of bagging a seat. Their menu, for a first time visitor is a lot to take in and I feel the staff could do a little more to help those break it down, I know it makes sense but it's a lot to take in when you're eying up the menu and staff are looking to quickly serve them, if you spot a newbie, why not help them... A quick friendly bit of verbiage could speed things up :-)

With a great lunch spot comes a great queue. Thankfully this one hammers along! Food is great, staff are friendly and plenty of value for money. If you're looking for something reasonably healthy and very tasty, you can't go wrong here! Great coffee too!

I saw that Cocu opens till 8 which is pretty late for a lunch/coffee spot so at 6pm on a Thursday I rocked up and they had pretty much ran out of everything. But major props to the guy working there who said he'd throw a few things together for me with whatever they had left. So he makes me this wild concoction of rice, mixed salad, avocado, beef, mint yogurt, tomatoes, herbs, seeds and a few more bits and bobs. Essentially giving me a taste of a decent chunk of the menu. Pretty tasty stuff and a nice change from the burritos I normally get. Could have been a bit hotter but I was pretty much scraping the barrel on this visit. Definitely going to try again a bit earlier in the afternoon!

There's avocado and other magical things hidden in there too!

I'm a big fan of epic salads and Cocu never lets me down. It's very fresh and has a clear, simple menu that lets you build your salad. Their dressings are very tasty, and complement the main ingredients perfectly. The variety of toppings are great quality and have inspired me for whenever I'm making my own salads at home. (I'd definitely recommend the roasted sweet potato) Also don't be fooled that it's "just a salad". It will fill you up and leave you feeling satisfied for the rest of the day. There's a few seats available but it's predominately takeaway, so if it's a nice day head on up to the canal for a picnic or go back home/to the office and enjoy in comfort.

Friendly employees, a good choice of salad boxes (beef shin is excellent), and optional extras if you're really hungry. Also delicious coffee from Roasted Brown.

Nice place for an healthy option for lunch. The place is a bit busy at the moment as it as just opened so at lunch time I had to wait around 5 minutes to order. Tried the baked salmon salad with spinach and sweet potatoes and was really good. After taking my order to take away it was quite fast. They offer wide variety of salad and you can pay a bit extra for some extra ingredients. Each salad costs about 7.95€.

My regular coffee spot ! Lovely little place they have. Staff are always super chatty and friendly. The do some great healthy breakfasts aswell here , and lunches for that matter . But be warned ! These place does be jammers around lunch time! The Q moves fairly fast but it is always out the door. Earlier you can get there the better. There's 2 baristas there one blonde girl and one guy. Both are good but the girl really makes a serious cup of coffee ! So I'd keep a eye out for her. My favourite place to pick one up :)

Discovered this funky cozy eatery on third day in Ireland. Located in Baggot Road Dublin. Delish Bircher muesli and gronola with yogurt and berries. The best part of breakfast was the coffee. The barista had been in Australia for 10 months learning all about the coffee culture. It paid off as her coffee was perfect.

Since I don't eat red meat, I was very excited to see a vegetarian Irish breakfast option. I ordered this as well as a mocha latte. Despite the rain, my friend and I sat outside since all of the indoor seating was occupied. Thankfully some heaters provided warmth for what could've been a chilly breakfast. Very quickly the lattes came out which my friend and I sipped on. They were soooo cute, mine had the design of a little bear on top! The latte itself was hot and not too sweet, the perfect start to the experience. After a few short minutes, the food came out! Immediately, my friend and I dug in. It was honestly everything I expected and even more! There were no weak links on the plate and there were generous portions as well. I sat there for a while working my way through my delicious plate!! Overall, I was very happy with my experience at Beanhive. It was an aesthetic cafe that also provided a hearty breakfast. I would definitely recommend.

The first day we arrived to Dublin, I had a bit of a headache. I sent my husband in search of coffee and a bite in the hopes of warding off the headache. He brought back a tuna melt and mocha from The Bald Barista. Both were excellent. The tuna melt was herbaceous and flavorful and the mocha was the perfect blend or rich chocolate and strong espresso. So, a few days later when my mom arrived and was hoping for coffee and a bite, I said--I've got just the place! On that visit, we enjoyed our coffee and food in house. You order at the counter where you enter and if you're dining in, you simply take the stairs to the dining room and they'll bring you both your food and coffee. This time, I ordered the same coffee (why mess with a good thing) and a yogurt with everything (fruit, nuts, seeds--the works!). The shop itself is cute, warm, and inviting. The service is top notch with beautifully friendly folks working in here (including the Bald Barista himself). If you're in Dublin and are looking for an exemplary cuppa and some tasty bites served with a smile--this is your spot. Get to it!

They prepare and serve up coffee as a city better than any other city in the world. Sorry Seattle, Portland, its the truth. As a full fledge coffee nerd/snob I am looking for great coffee nothing more. Also if they don't roast their own beans and they are just serving someone else's coffee they will never get above a 3 star from me. I am looking strictly at the coffee and the customer service in my reviews. Accents was fantastic. When I walked in the Barista, a pretty little red headed Irish woman was doing some spectacular latte art on a Mocha, she smiled and asked me what I would like. I order just a regular Latte. They do not roast their own beans, but she was out of coffee in the grinder, she reached for a new sealed bag and I caught the name, McCabe's. I was unfamiliar so afterward I looked them up. here is the link if anyone is interested. (https://mccabecoffee.com) Local award winning Cork roaster. I watched the Barista, fill the grinder and then told me it would be a minute as she needed to dial in the espresso. I shook my head in a circle like I didn't get it but okay. She had it dialed in after 3 shots. looked like 18 in and 36 out. She was a pro, steamed my milk while the shot pulled in about 24 seconds. I ordered my drink to go but it was still presented with great art and a smile. Told me where the sugar and lids were but suggested I tried it before i added anything, that the espresso is very good. I tasted it and said, "You are right, needs nothing" and it didn't. BEST LATTE I HAVE HAD THIS TRIP TO DUBLIN. I am breaking my own rule here, I can because they are my rules, they don't roast but they use fantastic local Micro-roasted beans and prepare my drink to perfection. Don't miss this little gem the in Dublin. 5 Stars.
