Tech recommended the most beautiful shade and was very happy with the result! The mani was another story. My nails are natural, and length is uneven. Which I am okay with. I don't do mani's very often but had a wedding. The tech asked if I wanted to keep length on my pinkies (longest length) and I said she cut trim some. Well, she cut down ALL my nails even below the length of the nail bed. Never in my life have my nails been trimmed so short. Like stubs. While a few of the nails were shorter, many of them had length. I didn't realize she had done this until she had finished the first hand, so at that point the damage was done. I didn't want to say anything to offend her at that point, but was upset about the situation. When she finished I told her that my nails were shorter than I wanted and that no other tech had ever cut my nails so short. And was there a reason she that? Her response was that she made her best judgment to cut them that way so they would grow out more evenly. That was not her choice to make. While she spent a lot of time shaping and cleaning my nails, I was very unhappy with the mani service, and don't want anyone else to experience what happened to me.

The service room was rather bare with a treatment bed, equipment, sound machine, and millwork for supplies and sink access. Overall, the space did not wow me and could benefit from color and artwork. I had the pleasure of working with Taylor for my service. She was extremely kind, professional, and efficient with time. The entire service took 45 minutes. I did have a bit of stinging from the chemicals used but understood that to be only when trying to apply close to the lash line. I really liked the end results but noticed a couple lashes going in the wrong direction and not much of a tint on my bottom lashes. The service was $109 in total which did feel like a bit steep after seeing the end outcome. I recommend considering the service only if you truly have long, full lashes naturally.

A pedicure, a full set of sculpted acrylics with gel polish, and a Norvell Venetian spray tan (8 hour solution.) Pedicure: We started with the pedicure. She uses a disposable bag so the pedicure is sanitary. She also used a new disposable foot file, which was great! The pedicure is wonderful. She gives and excellent pedicure massage. She helped me pick my polish color and I love it! (Pictured) Manicure: I asked for a full set of acrylics and she did an amazing job creating sculpted acrylics and filed them down like a true artist. They look perfect! I chose "Strawberry Margarita" gel Polish so they will last longer. (Pictured) Spray tan: She took me to the back and explained to get undressed and hang my clothes on the back of the door. Then to put on a shower cap and sticky feet. She also had makeup wipes available. I waited in the tent and she came right in and explained the airbrush method. She did 2 thorough coats using Norvell Venetian 8 hour solution. I just rinsed off and my tan looks wonderful! Stephanie is extremely professional, personable, sweet and the quality of her work is top notch. She doesn't rush and it's a very private and relaxing experience. I highly recommend Onyx studio and I will be back for a fill, a pedicure and an airbrush tan for my next event.

This was the worst service I've had since my early days at European Wax Center, and I actually left my appointment crying. I had booked my usual Brazilian + butt cheeks. Last week, I called to reschedule and learned--only because I called--that the waxer I've been seeing for the past year was no longer there. Management never informed me ahead of time, which I found unprofessional. When I rescheduled, I was told there were two other stylists available, so I agreed to book with anyone. When I arrived, I found out mid-appointment that my waxer had only started a week ago. She was very nice personality-wise, but the process was extremely messy--sugar in my hair, on my legs, all over the table, and on my clothes. She went over the same area 10-15 times, causing intense pain and burning. The service, which normally takes 20-30 minutes, dragged out to an hour and 15 minutes. I left sticky, covered in powder, and feeling awful. When I got home, I discovered I was bleeding, raw, and still had numerous hairs left. I immediately called and went back today for a "retouch" with Kristin. She was kind, professional, and quick--exactly how it should have been the first time. At checkout, I brought up the situation and requested a refund for yesterday's service. Unfortunately, the front desk employee was too new to process it, so I was told management would call me. As of now, I'm still waiting for that call. I used to love coming here, but all the skilled waxers seem to be gone, and management's lack of communication and follow-up is disappointing. For such a personal and vulnerable service, clients deserve to feel safe, respected, and cared for. Sadly, I can no longer recommend this location.

I had to go home and tweeze the rest of the little hairs that were missed, but it was much easier to do once the shape was cleaned up via threading. The main gripe I have with this place is that they really pressure you into buying their monthly membership. The monthly membership allows you to get your eyebrows threaded as many times as you'd like for a flat rate (which is just a few dollars more than a one time threading). I only get my eyebrows done once every few months so it wasn't worth it for me to join their monthly membership. Even after I said no, she kept insisting that I get it. I wasn't comfortable giving her my credit card because I was a little unsure if she was going to go ahead and sign me up for the monthly membership, so I paid cash. I thought Shapes brow bar was not bad for getting my eyebrows reshaped. I'd probably go back because they're conveniently located in the middle of the mall. I wouldn't recommend this place if you have a hard time saying no to someone that is trying to hard sell you something you don't need.

When I was first offered the package, the lady said it would be unlimited but later I learned it was only 10 eyebrow threadings. Which is fine, you can go 3 times each month but it is not unlimited. Each time I went, I had a different lady do my eyebrows which with time my eyebrows became very thin. Each lady decided my eyebrows could use less and less hair. Which I didn't appreciate. It is hair and it will grow back but it is not polite to take off hair from eyebrows without asking if you want your shape changed. My one star is mainly because of the lack of quality that this place offers. I have been going to get my eyebrows threaded for about 10 years and I needed a place to go to in the area so I tried Reema but I was disappointed. Each appointment was less than 2 minutes. Of about the 6 different ladies that did my eyebrows, no one ever asked how I wanted them done or even took their time to make them look nice. There were always baby hairs left around the eyebrows, which should have been taken care of or even darker hairs around the actual eyebrow. Before going to Reema, I went to a place in the city for about 5 years to get my eyebrows done (had to change locations because of relocation) and she would always take about 15 to 20 minutes to thread and clean up my eyebrows. If Reema actually took the time to do nice eyebrows they might have more business. My recommendations to the business owner is take your time and do a good job. Hire ladies that actually want to be there and do a good job with threading. I will not be going back and be looking for another place to get my eyebrows threaded.
